I was literally imagining a crazier AU where the events of Sonic Forces happened in the Archie Comics after the Super Genesis Wave but there's a twist. Infinite is Female in this timeline and the particular reason why is later revealed to be that instead of a Jackal Mercenary Infinite is Fiona Fox who happened to survive the Super Genesis Wave and blames Sonic for everything.
