Good tutorial Mr Gill! Thank you! Very clear demonstration of linear and circular patterns. Just a small observation; for dice, opposing sides' dots always sum up to 7. In other words, the 6 and 1 sides would be opposing each other, and so would the 5 and 2 sides, and 4 and 3 sides.
Thanks for the comment! I didn't know about the sides adding up to 7 but I assumed I might be placing the dots incorrectly. I didn't have a real dice to hand to check at the time. But I will remember for next time!
Or you could have just laid the slot and before editing and deleting points just selected pathfinder (minus front). No deleting and no joining points.
Thanks for the tutorial, hot voice by the way ;)
The pen tool is disturbing me 😢😊
this is a stupid basic video. How is this 2d to 3d? You need to make the alien more of a realistic body more round not square. Anyone can do this
The goal of this video is to show young middle school students with no 3D modeling experience how to transform 2D images into simple, 3D-printable files. But thanks for your input!
Thanks, man! Especially for the files!
Please could you help me how i do If the answer is in more than one button thank you
ty, i finally understood it
Late to the game here, but how did you make it a small canvas size 2in by 3in, while still being able to bring in hi-res items without the edges pixelating or rastering? Thank you for the vid and the file.
You can drag and drop an image into your canvas, and then right-click the layer in the Layers panel and select Convert to Smart Object to preserve quality. This should prevent pixelation or rastering when resizing or transforming.
Thank you for sharing this tutorial
You the man!
You explain so well. Keep it up!
whenever i import my image to tinkercad it always hollows out the alien and leaves a square model. what should i do?
Thanks 😊 🫂 🙏
Hola gracias por tu excelente explicación. Tengo dificultad para cargar la imagen desde el repositorio de google drive, segui todas las indicaciones que dás pero no carga, con el repositorio de Cloudinary funciona excelente. ¿Me podrías ayudar?
Hello, good afternoon, could you make a video with API sending data to a customer registry? when i trace, its trace also inside photo too , what can i do
This would be helpful if companies stopped changing things.
thank u!
You are the best instructor this is the best video
Thank u a lot, thats what ive been searching.
I love you
when i click on one singular section to color it does not work, it always selects the hole circle
can you help with post requests on thunkable?
Hello, I bought one of these machines to cut 3mm acrylic but it only cuts 3mm acrylic, BLACK AND RED, the MARILLO almost cuts it, the other solid colors are only marked, can you help me with the parameters, thank you
I have artwork I want to to add on the card, however they are quite large and everytime I reduce the size of my image size to fit the card the quality is lost, any suggestions?
JPEG images will always lose quality when resized. I recommend making your artwork in a vector based program like Adobe Illustrator and saving the image as an SVG file.
hi, I bought an atomstack S20 MAX. I have a problem with engraving and cutting. During engraving, the material burns. I probably don't know how to adjust the parameters. Do you have any advice for adjusting the parameters. thank you very much
makes 2 of us...what they dive you on website doesnt work in lightburn for me :(

Thank you so much I learnt a lot. Really appreciate it
Perfect tutorial, thanks!
Is there a way i can get the poker print template?
It's linked in the video description.
Great project. 8/10. Don't see any rubric. However, i suggest using an 18650 inside, instead of the low energy 9v, especially as a life may depend on its longevity. I would use a Nano instead of the Uno, powered through a TP4056 board adapter/charger. Oh, and lower the wire height by tighter low profile connectors. Then seal the entire case with glue, since it is now rechargeable through the TP4056. Good job, though.
Thanks. I will add that information for my students to see how the project can be improved. My intention was to show the class an imperfect device so they can see where mistakes can happen and how they can think about fixing potential flaws. The rubric was just a worksheet I handed out in class so they can better understand how their own projects would be graded.
What size did you use to design the card @Mr Gill
The poker card is 813 x 1114 pixels.
where do you get the poker template?
I've added the link for the poker card template to the video description.
...Just what I needed. Thanks...
But how do you change which is what in said pie chart. Excel keeps selecting all the wrong things
Very well explained! Thank you
what laser cutter program do you use btw? is it aps-ethos?
I have access to a few machines. Ideally, I like to use LightBurn if possible but one of my machines is an Epilog laser so I have to use CorelDRAW for that one.
Very easy to follow!
Thanks for this!
be careful running non-powered usb splitters on a laptop. it can fry the motherboard.
Thanks for the info. I didn't know that.
Very educational!
How would you do this using canva?
This tutorial was made for Adobe Illustrator only. I have never used Canva.
THANK YOU SO MUCHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Hello sir, are you on Instagram? I need to talk to you.
thanks
Thanks for this, Is an SVG file easier or more efficient than a DXF for a laser to cut?
If your machine is compatible with both file types, there is no difference between the two.
Where can someone find these templates?
I've added the link for the poker card template to the video description.
Thankue!
I don't get it, it's an alien but it's got a square back??? I mean wouldn't you want to give it a rounded body?
I think the 'square back' you are referring to is the Tinkercad canvas. This would not be part of your 3D model when exported as an STL file.
This tutorial is so extremely helpful, getting my artwork ready for screen printing! Thank you so much
You are very welcome!
