I grew up with the competitor joke app "Funny Jokes." I remember how popular it was there to dog on iPhone users and joke that android devices were superior. 🤣 The app had many of the same issues as IFunny, from the awful crude jokes of the time, to straight up pornographic wattpad-esque material. It was crazy being a kid back then. I'm so glad I had other things to fill my time with because I just know it would have messed me up if I had actually sunk a lot of time into that app.

I love this song, but it also makes little sense in the actual musical. It's common in most shows that the father that is distant to his son acts passionately about the thing the son hates, but not in Ratatouille. Remy is passionate about all kinds of food, Django isn't. That's why they are so distant with each other. I really like how this song is done, but it works better for another musical. You can always tweak things in a story to adapt it into a musical, but I feel like this relationship and contrast between Remy and his father is so important to establish at the beginning that it's hard to fit this song into the musical without people seeing the relationship as a father not understanding his son rather than disagreeing with his views. Two very small things, but very big distinctions. But yeah, as a small little project for fun, this slaps.
