What a Trail! We rocked up to Marysville and got a shuttle up to the top of Lake Mountain. There we rode a 9km loop at the top (Trigger Track and Granite Grind) before setting of on the Cascades Trail 28km with 500m of ascent and 1550m of decent! Dry, dusty, exhausting and frothing.

Some great trails that I was not expecting too much from, but was very impressed. I started at the Bike Park behind the main shops which has varying levels of jumps and balancing rails. I then moved up to the Hurst Rd trails opposite the chocolate factory. These were a great network of trails that provided a solid loop. This is a short video of the best bits.

Hey mate, there were no trails closed the day that I was riding. Not sure what you’re talking about there mate. I wouldn’t have ridden any closed trails.

I have the same footage in another video that I released over a year ago if you really want to do some detective work champ. Otherwise believe me when I say there were no trail closures when I rode there.
Mate, i know for a fact that you saw the trails closed sign, its just about unmissable and you're one of the reasons the park hasn't been able to open quicker, people are sick of waiting, and the trail workers are pissed off because of the damage that was done to the UNFINISHED trails. so please next time just look before you do, cheers mate.

Jason Roberts I hadn’t really set a date. I was thinking the Christmas school holidays. Or some school holiday period where I will be without the kids for a few weeks. But like you I don’t yet have anyone mad err keen enough to accompany me
@@Beyondthebackyard-au The weather here is probably at it's best February and March. Prior to Christmas it's dodgy still. I'm keen but need to get my skills up. I was thinking a 2 year prep. I can give you my email if you want.

Can't believe there are no comments on this video and so few views. It was hilarious but also really helpful. Was navigation hard? Or were the signposts enough. I am thinking of going in the next few weeks. What time of year did you guys go?
Jack thanks and glad you enjoyed it. Nav was no hard, good signposts but worth taking the gnw map set for reference and learning. We went in winter and it was great!

Yeah man, thanks for sharing your experiences, I too wish to partake in this walk in the near future. I noticed you blokes just camped near the pathway, is that legal? Or did you get permits etc?
Yeah mate its fine, no permits needed. Just use minimal impact camping methods and all is good. Leave no trace, Jake

loved watching guys,i plan in the next 12 months to take my 34 foot cruiser over bass straight and probably follow very similiar trend to you guys but il moor boat just off beaches each time i pull up to an island,serious guys plan another mission maybe island hop melb to sydney or start in tassie at one point and go completely around the island,
