Don't forget the racing go karts Brooks designed for the Gilson Company in 1961! Brooks is credited with designs built by Ray Besasie Sr. Ray and his son Ray Jr. were amazing designers in their own right. Check out his Detroit X-cars. They were the ones that actually built the bodywork for all of Brooks cars.

I had the #4 car, a red GT Hawk that ran the R-4 engine at Bonneville. It was also the first 64 GT built, serial # 64v10004. Do you have any photos of it at Bonneville? It had Bonneville Safety Inspection decals in the windshield for 1964 and 1965, which seems rather odd since the runs were in 1963. The only photo I've seen of it was in the Paxton brochure being transported on an auto carrier.

Always wanted a Studebaker pickup but never was able to get one! A family friend had a 1962 champ pickup with the little suitcase 6 cylinder. The little 6 was worn out, so we put a 259 v8 in it. 259 v8 with 3 in the tree and a very low geared rearend! Taking off in 2nd gear, there wasn't a 283 chevy or a 312 ford that could touch it from stop light to stop light!

@21:41 Studebaker never made a V-6 motor. I think your referring to a 259 or 289 V-8. @23:41 a Champ truck on a 3/4 ton chassis. I want one. @ 34:46 It's an inline 6 cylinder, not a V-6.

We wentto a junk yard to get a engine for a 53 my friend said check the miles was 95k he said maybe 1t was 195 i said no no stude engine would live that long 😮
