Cypher Outside
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 7 ต.ค. 2015
This channel is about my life outside. I play in all kinds of ways, from camping to DIY projects. I have built campers, modified canoes and hunt and fish. Not to mention my wander lust for trails. All trails, rather they be for hiking, wheeling or water ways. I cant stay off them, its a sickness. I am also involved with search and rescue, so from time to time I give a look in to that world. I am happy to take criticism, I do not claim to be an expert at anything.
Thank you for spending some time at CYPHER OUTSIDE.

The weekend at Tyee Campground
In early October, I took my last fall camping trip. My first night was solo the second night I was joined by my son, his wife and daughter. I gave an update for my channel in this video and my life status. As to why I haven’t been posting as many videos as I used to. come along and see the beautiful Umpqua river, and this great little campground.

New spare tire and toolbox mount for my off-road teardrop
มุมมอง 1122 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video, I figure out how to mount a spare tire and a toolbox. On my already short and tongue of my off-road teardrop trailer. My trailers made it through a few seasons now it’s very lived in. If someone would like to see an update video on the whole trailer, I’d be willing to do so just say so in the comments. I will be adding an electrical system to it here in the next coming weeks, whi...
DIY planter boxes and garden set up
มุมมอง 8186 หลายเดือนก่อน
We recently decided it was time for a garden. looking around it was pretty expensive to find raised planter boxes that would do the job. everyone in my house has a bad back and we rent. We could not use the ground. So I decided to build my own raised planter boxes, come with me on the journey and see how I did it.
Water Cooler Hat
มุมมอง 236 หลายเดือนก่อน
I needed a place to store cups, teabags and things to make it easy to use our new water dispenser. So I came up with The Water Cooler Hat. Made from scrap 1/4 inch plywood and a free harbor freight bucket. The total building cost is zero or if you want to count what I paid for the glue. Maybe a nickel…
The yurts at William Tugman State Park
มุมมอง 1569 หลายเดือนก่อน
Recently, my family and I went camping at William Tugman State Park. Having a new addition to our family a three month old little girl we thought it be wise this time of year to rent a yurt. This turned out to be a fantastic idea, so I thought I’d film a little walk-through video.
Water Storage Solution

I needed to store 5 gallon water bottles in my kitchen. This is what I came up with. I hope you enjoy it.
Universal DIY spice rack
มุมมอง 14611 หลายเดือนก่อน
I needed a spice rack. I didn’t want to have a whole Lot of jars or containers that I would have to refill to fit in a specific rack so I designed a rack that will hold spices that you can buy right off the shelf. I hope this inspires you to do something of your own. Thank you for watching

I shot this video mainly to help people get a look at the campground and the area around it. Unfortunately one of the members of our party was eight months pregnant so we didn’t hike the mountain, so please enjoy the wonderful beach scenery and a beautiful campground.

Over the years, I have amassed a few long blades or machetes, and I’ve always wanted a cool way to display. I figured it out a way to do just that.

Just One More Fish
มุมมอง 73ปีที่แล้ว
This year instead of doing our annual umpqua River trip in August we did it in July. This time we took along our fishing poles. What a fantastic idea. I caught more fish in four days than I have in my entire life. This first section has the most swift water on it, which makes it the most challenging to paddle. Come along with us, and check out the wildlife and beautiful scenery. Music by...

Walmart & Harbor freight machete upgrades
Nice to see a new video from you. 😎👍
Maybe put the mic closer. Hard to hear you
Love it! I'm trying a to make a kids seat out of lawn seat replacement fabric
Had to turn it off! Shitty music!
I just got mine and put it in the water and found the seat very uncomfortable for my knees even with a seat back/cushion. regular canoe seats are much higher but I'm guessing this boat would be way too tippy? I didn't get the sportsman because exiting a kayak has always been a challenge and that boat is heavier too. How did you end up securing your seat? Thank you for your informative video!
Thank you so much for this. You just inspired me to build some new raised garden beds for my veggie garden.
It sounds great!
so how did you end up mounting your seat ? very nice video btw...very peaceful
GREAT content! Me and my buddies float the Umpqua on our inflatable 1 man pontoons from the Kellogg bridge to the "slide hole" for 3 day 2 nights of fishing and camping
Kool Build👍🤙🤙
Hey really like yer video especially the underwater shots of the trout ! Iam not trying to tell you what to do but... ya really should use barbless hooks for these trout if you are going to release them ,try it you wont lose many and the hooks will fall out after you net them, great underwater shots really great !Thank you sir !
nice job
Nice, u will have fun with grandbaby. They can be funny as they age.
is your group in the Northwest?
Yes, Oregon
Love it

So beautiful
Excellent job. Thank you
It sounds great!👍🏼
Hate when the strings are the most expensive part... Haha
Hello I wanted to say I love the vid, and I'm in the process of getting the search and rescue academy in Puerto Rico and I love what you're doing, and thank you for the awesome vid
So you found your balance point...now what seat did you put there?
I use a fold up kayak seat made by ascend
@@Cypheroutside Thanks for the reply!

Geezahs Dude you need to lower that blade on your table saw! you want it just breaking through the wood you are cutting. Or it can grab and throw it back at you. Be careful
Thanks good tip. I started doing that and WOW What a difference.✌🏼
That was some crazy rock hopping. Thanks for the great views.😎👍
Fantastic! I've been wondering if there was some good canoeing around
should give the n.umpqua a go
NICE!
Nice trailer, good job man
I miss my 194.
I enjoyed your trip and hope to do that stretch of the river-maybe next year.
Good information thank you. I have a old town autopilot 136 and it's heavy. A hoist like this would be good for hoist this in the bed of my truck. A power inverter would be needed, also a way to rig it up in the truck bed they have a 12 volt version. I will check it out. My body is still sore from yesterday in Brookings. A beautiful day on the ocean, like glass.
Coolest thing I’ve seen yet. Slide out camper. I love that idea. Made me write this it was such a cool idea. Lol. I seen it was small I said dam that’s small. Then he opens the tail gate and slides it out. That was cool as hell. Edited part. Ok in hide sight I can’t figure for the life of me how to insulate that slide out feature. I would need some draw slides and those are like 1/2 inch each side. It would ultimately make the inside more narrow. Also unless the box that slides out is inside then you wouldn’t be able to have anything permanent in it. Also if this is only for you, why the bunk bed? Your using up to much space for bedding. If you can sleep on top, bottom becomes desk or sofa facing wall with tv. Put a fridge in the corner next to the couch and throw a solar panel on top.
Looking forward to the video.
Good times.
An excellent build! How much does she weigh?
U were in an artsy crafter mood, good idea on the hammer hoe. Good job on the video.
Would it be possible if we could get the measurements of the neck please
Love it!
Heck yeah, that was a fun hang!
I had a great time as always chuck!
Nice adventure. Never get tired of seeing it. 😎👍
I woke up in Bandon and saw the snow and went for a bike ride!
Didn't get that much up here in Reedsport, just a dusting. But almost every morning for the last 10 days or so there is a another fresh layer of snow on the ground when I wake up. At this point I'm almost expecting to see it every morning.
Very nice ! 👍🏽
I've always been a little late to the game. Hit me up if you still 4x4.
This was fun.😄 Much better choice of music than most videos (for some reason, I was seeing the Pan Am space clipper and the double wheel of the space station from 2001).😉 I think a cheap machete is a great place to experiment. If you end up with something you really like, great. And if it doesn’t work out, you’re not out much; try something different next time. 👍
yo chuck,, we going to need them both to camp out on the slough.. hacking trail and slicing pie!
That camper makes your truck look like a big red boot 👢 But if it works it ain't stupid, Nice 👍
