We are continuing our activities with the aim of correctly passing on the tradition and spirit of Kobudo, which has been passed down from the founder Marume Kurando for more than 450 years, to our successors.

Tatsu-no kuchi, is a traditional way of holding the sword in Taisha-ryū. The technique employs neither the wrists nor the arms in holding the sword. I love how you explain the importance of something while also showing how to do it. Thank you!
❤awesome
Interesting.
This video really doesn't show anything. Like you cut the back shot completely and your hakama is essentially folded already. You should mess it up like you were just wearing it then start from there.
Merci beaucoup, j’adopte votre méthode.🤍👍🏼
This music is very good, can I know its name, please 🥺❤
I'm amazed that this koryu ryuha has become so open. That's a very dramatic change from the usual tradition of being very selective. But not only them, lately a lot of other koryu ryuha have become more open to foreigners as well. Well it's a way to guarantee that the ryuha would not die...
Excellent.
Sigue a si que lograrás tus metas
So you're an Iaido Dojo?
Thank you, I owe you my life
Great video. It's such an honor to be a part of such a rich and deep tradition. Thank you for sharing. 🙏
Are all tasuki ties colored white?
A white tasuki is very formal. But other colors are also used.
Absolutely beautiful. Seeing all the koryus together witnessing each others techniques must really be surreal. As someone who practices Ryushin Shouchi Ryu I hope to one day see this in Japan.
Thank you very much! It was truly a special occasion.
Sweet :) Such precision and skill. We don't get cool displays like this in Wales, I'm glad youtube is a thing so I get to see the goodness :3
I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Congratulations, I watched this on Budo Japan Channel a few days ago, incredible video.
Thank you! It was a wonderful event.
Awesome.
Thank you very much.
Wow amazing ceremony demonstrating various martial arts such as kenjutsu, bojutsu and taisharyu wonderful well done
Thank you very much.
beautiful
Is Kodan no Kamae the Taisha ryu equivalent of Hasso no Kamae/In no Kamae?
It is different. And we have Hasso no kamae as well.
This is awesome
Great video. Is that a bokken break at 0:18 ?
Thank you! And yes, you have a keen eye. :-)
Thanks
Cool trailer. I like what you have going on
I noticed this watching samurai-x kaoru cleaning up the dojo. I don't know it have specific name. The name is for the fabric or the method? Very useful when wearing baggy cloth
ngl I feel bouji as fuck rn
does Taisha Ryu offer online classes??
Best video on the subject I’ve seen hands down.
lure the opponent and counterattack
It's very interesting to see techniques from a first person perspective. Thank you for sharing 🙇♂️
very informative. I previously thought the offering of salt, rice and salt was being done and being replaced on a daily basis. Thanks for the video, now I know
Both the Tsubaki Shrine and the Shusse Inari shrine recommend removing everything at the end of the day. The orientation of rice and sake depend on the shrine with many shrines putting the rice forward of the Saki. To the best of my knowledge, offerings should be fresh with no mould.
Hello, beautiful video :) I have a question, what does it mean in practice that the replaced items are dedicated to the east, west, south, north and center? I mean how do you dedicate them?
the replaced items (rice and salt) are consumed by the family.
Nice. I practice Iai but sometimes we also practice with bokken. I certainly would like to have more contact training.
I practice Omori Iai, but am fortunate to have access to other ryu as well. I like seeing similarities between what you do and Tamiya-ryu, for example. Or even aspects of the more modern Toyama. Btw, I teach Japanese history and Buddhism at university level and lived in Japan for several years. Great work.
This is flashy but perhaps less spectacular and more basic moves would be better for short videos. How to do that noto for example, or just a basic kiriotoshi.
Where do you guys get your shinais from? They perform well.
They are called fukuroshinai. We buy them from a Japanese craftsman, but I think he doesn't ship oberseas. However, several martial arts shops also sell them. For example www.seidoshop.com. The leather bag is really important. But the bamboo inside will break with frequent training and can be replaced by yourself.
Slow motion section please
Awesome I would like to become student
I love it I desire to be member I'm from Chicago u .s.a
Hai!
awesome!
This WILL WORK in a kendo fight.
0:17 nice
What impurities are removed in martial arts with tasuki? Thanks, wonderful video.
That’s probably a symbolic thing that was added in the Edo period
Very interesting, to let go of the left hand and use the left leg to brace against the tsuka. Also the use of angles to block the mid section strike/cut.
That was awesomely marvelous 😲😦😧😮😯
Thank you.
First to comment! What is the name of that technique? What technique was that? Thank you I am blind in both my eyes thank you for sharing! :-)
This technique is called yōsha, in which you block three horizontal attacks. The second one is blocked with the handle of your sword.
@@taisharyuofficial3839 thank you so much! :-)
Can you please name the technique and describe them!? Thank you for sharing! :-)
