I see that you haven’t posted in a while, but if you ever wanted to post a life update video or anything you’ve learned from graduating college until now, I would really love to watch it. I know this is kinda of late but if I were to join clubs other than Greek life, are there still occasional house parties? I know education definitely comes first, but I’m curious to know if ucr is more open to that. Like I know sdsu is super reserved to frats (that’s why I don’t wanna go there.)

Don’t give up. Many doctors have failed med school, trust me. They end up being the best doctors in my view. One of my favorite gynecologists failed twice before she succeeded :)

UCR was my #1 choice. Mainly because I wanted to go to a university closest to my hometown, Hemet, which is about 35 miles away (35-45 min drive). I wanted to commute from home to university. My other choices that were closer to Hemet were Cal State San Bernardino and Cal State San Marcos, which are much further away requiring me to stay in housing or nearby there. Just so you know, Hemet is a small town that is far away from a lot of major cities, so UC Riverside was the closest university to it. UC Riverside was also my #1 choice because some of my relatives such as my cousins and even my father went there. I applied to UC Riverside in Winter 2022 and only to UC Riverside, and I was happy when I got accepted into UC Riverside. I am enjoying UC Riverside. As far as the city of Riverside goes, it seems like a main place students would go outside of Riverside is the University Village, where there are various cuisines such as Indian restaurants, Chinese restaurants, Korean restaurants, Boba Tea places, a Pizza restaurant, a Cajun seafood restaurant, etc. Whenever I go to Riverside, I love going to the University Village whenever I can.

Attending UCR this year. The biggest factor as to why is that I’m being given a full ride. My mom teased me about not getting into UCI, but I’m perfectly fine with. I’m glad that the competition isn’t all that much, but I also know that I’m getting a solid education out of it. A W in my book

-college experience + dorm + sorority ("like in the movies") -5 Pro's of UC Riverside: 1. chill, and not competitive = :) (classes are manageable, able to get/earn a good GPA) 2. free resources (like ARK tutoring = chem, bio, math, writing essays) & first year learning communities/HCD (peer mentors: help with transition from HS to CC) 3. diversity 4. student-involvement clubs/organizations 5. free programs (guest speakers, celebs, musicians/concerts) 5 Con's of UC Riverside: 1. no college city/town life 2. ghetto-land (not safe, homeless ppl) 3. no big school spirit 4. over-populated students, over-impacted majors/classes (23,000 undergrads + 4,000 grads = grand total student population = 27,000 students) big class sizes (300-600 students: a small lecture/concert hall) 5. pretty basic/generic/general majors (no specializations/specifics/niche majors)

This video is helpful really! However im still stuck because i want to attend for 2023 since i finish up in a few months. And i would love to go here since my family is typically in fontana which isn’t that far from riverside . However i dont want to miss out on the college life by not dorming yet i see the cost for dorms and waitlisting for them and i doubt i might be able to dorm. So do you by chance know how social life is there

Do you think its possible to graduate in 2 years without having taken college classes in high school with the achievement 120 credits total? Im a double major right now and im trying to find a way to pack my course load full for both summer 2, fall, winter, spring, and full summer next year semesters. I just finished my freshman year, and in trying to figure out how to move through this as fast as possible since im getting my masters as well.

I did 1.5 years at ucr 2018-2020 until I decided it wasn’t for me. I did community for a while to get credits, currently I’m trying to get readmitted to finish my degree. I honestly feel like I went into college w a toxic mindset just like you mentioned! I took it all for granted. Now I’m praying to get back in. Thanks for your video!

I respect her. She's open-minded to realize that your destiny is your own problem. 1. Your degree is your choice. If you choose a domain with a lot of people already in it (psychology, arts, history), of course your life will be harder. Supply and demand, a simple rule, this is how life works. It is not unfair. We all want the best options, you as well, so better be sure you are GOOD in what you do, or you are unemployed. But if you are great, you are golden. 2. All the market, people and firms care about is what you can do, not your degree. Nobody cares about a paper, people want value. Can you bring value? We don't care about your college years and how interesting it was. If we want something interesting we buy a book. Can you do something we can't do and care about a lot? If you choose with your heart, great for you, but your are paid on what you produce. If you also love it, great, but if you just love it and others don't need it, make them need it or choose another thing. 3. Your debt is also your problem. Really. Nobody obligated you to sign it and to learn 4 years on a subject. If you choose it, you need to know what are your opportunities after, what do you do? What will be in need? Again, engineers, doctors, law people don't have a problem with this (again, if they are good). What was/is your plan? If you entered this it means you have a solid plan in which you can give value to other people, not just dreams. Show it and you are good! 4. Your experience is again you trouble. Who says you can't get a job while you study? Summer is not just for losing time. The ones that are good find work, I assure you of that. So make experience before you finish or accept less pay. Again I'm not going to teach you and also pay you the same as somebody who does not need teaching. Would you do that? This is how a company thinks. Be proactive, be the best, don't lose your time and I am sure you will do great! The good ones have the best, others have the rest. Simple rule of life.

Your view on dating needs to change, all men want sex, don't lie to yourself. We are horny all the time, doesn't mean most men can't control their urges though. The more effort you put into relationships, the more you'll get out of those relationships, just like in life. Plus you're attractive and clearly smart, you shouldn't have any problem dating. Hang in there and life does get better. I graduated in 2009, believe me, shit was tough then haha, I'm talking no one was hiring. So if I got through that, you can get through this, you'll be fine and keep doing your best in everything you do!
