Fun fact: there's an achievement that's unlocked in the part where he kills you called the part where he kills you, the music playing is also called the part where he kills you.

I don't know if this is intentional or not, but what made this scene more emotional for me was that the words we last hear from Wheatley before he's casted out in space are "GRAB ME!" (Or, in some dubs, "CATCH ME!") which remind you of "Catch me if I'm not dead once I pop of this thing! CATCH ME! CATCH ME!", giving you a bittersweet sense of nostalgia over the time when he was your friend

Thank you so musch for this Let's Play I played Portal a lot of times and watched it a lot. But this Editing with the mix of your Humor is just incredible. Really shows me again why Portal is one of my favorite Games. Side Note I would reccoment to watch the Part where Wheatly replaces Glados again because you played it, at least of what I know without Music and the Music in Portal really gives it another Vibe.

Experiencing the ending to this game the first time round was literally the same feeling you had. This game is truely something special.

Ashe, if I may ask for the next game to play, I would ask for you to continue with Portal 2 mods (basically DLCs but for free) like Portal Revolution (considered as Portal 3 by many people, its really well made and has cool puzzles, including an entirely new story with many jokes and fun uses of known mechanics) and if that is too much for now, please give Portal Reloaded a try, it adds a 3rd portal to time-travel (only 25 Levels, but challenging). Honestly, seeing how good you are at Portal I think those would be no problem for you and would make for awesome videos and (more importantly) much fun for you :) -A Portal fan who subscribed after watching your first Portal video

(Re: Video Description text): Aaaahhhh nooooo, I was worried you were overdoing it, & you did... 😥 Please don't hurt yourself in the future, take your time! We can wait! And please, DO NOT try to rush your recovery or skimp out on whatever combo of exercise AND resting has been advised. Trust me, too many people I personally know with repetitive strain injuries didn't let themselves recover properly, & as a result they now have permanent pain & lowered physical abilities. It's NOT worth it. I just don't want to see someone with your wonderful personality & immensely creative talent ending up with long-term suffering, which would be tragic itself, plus may also hinder your ability to keep on creating to your fullest potential. as Portal 2 speedrunners, we usually skip some dialogues to save time. it is both nostalgia and fresh to rehear all of the dialogue. it reminds me of the good old days when i played the game the first time. good video!

Ive really enjoyed this mini-series! Your editing and commentary style is really good and easy to listen/watch. And thank you for including some kind of subtitles, it really makes it easier for me and others who need them

If have Steam notifications enabled, you'd also see the achievement unlock "The part where he kills you: This is that part." The room full of robots that scream at you is a callback to act 1, where Wheatley tells you scary rumors. The game is full of foreshadowing and callbacks like that. Remember the "I'm different" turret? The one you save from the conveyor who says things like "Her name is 'Caroline'" and "Prometheus was thrown into a pit and pecked at by birds"? The "white gel is made of moon rocks" also sets up the final shot. At one point where you used the ramp covered in orange gel and almost fell short. The danger is an illusion. If you are using the intended solution but you're going slightly too slow or too fast, the game will secretly correct your speed to ensure you make it. Most players never notice this mechanic because of how subtle it is, but it greatly affects speedruns.

Editing and Mic are top notch as always. Fun watching someone enjoy this game through again as it's one of my favorites.

Similar to a post I wrote on the first video, I return to this video a few months down the line having learnt a lot about making videos, and having fixed the issues present within these first to chapters of this story. I hope that everyone that reads this now is well. This video does not live up to my creative expectations of myself, and indeed, the vision that I have for content that I produce. I am not going to take it down, in spite of that fact, because I want it to be a continual litmus test of the quality of content that I can produce, and a reminder to myself of where I have come from. I took a long break from making videos for a lot of reasons, and am excited to be back, and excited to be making stuff that I feel people will be excited to watch. Hi! It's me, Ashe from 5 months down the line. A lot has changed since the uploading of this video, and I hope it finds everyone that sees it well. This video's quality is not to a level I'm happy with (especially after having completed the series) - but it's not in a state that I can easily fix. Rather than pull it down, I want to keep it up as a litmus test for how far I can come as a producer and entertainer, and to keep constantly dedicating myself to the work of making things that I want to see in the world. Creative vision is important ot me, and quality of my videos are equally as important. I have fixed some of the most egregious issues with this and the second portal video I produced in the third and fourth, and honestly feel like they reflect my quality as a creator better. 26:54 mildly infuriating fact, the first singing turret does not fully shut when it turns off, its left pannel is left a crack open.

24:11 In case you couldn't tell, I know way too much about this game. The moons surface used in the animation is actually just upside-down directly under the floor of the fight, and the portals in the cutscene are actually just a hole in the floor with glowy bits around the edges.

21:17 if you let the adventure core talk for a while he will say something about thorns, if you finish the fight after the core says that then wheatly will have a different final dialogue

0:35 the slow elevator here is actually there for a reason, it stops people from entering the chamber before Wheatly finishes yelling at the franken-cubes.
