Opposed piston will be helpfull with serial hybrid. You dont need to connect both end of crankshaft since you can just put 2 inverter/generator. It will really compact since component can lie flat, lower CoG, you can put fueltank lower (goldwing style), and have the original fuel tank as storage compartment

I ride an old KLR , i get 45-50 mpg. It’s EMP proof. This is a amazing but quite complicated. I will keep my thumper.

It would be nice if there was a diesel-electric hybrid motorcycle on the market for the ultimate range possible.

Now if you could just replace the gasoline engine with a diesel engine you would be able to achieve the ultimate level of range. A diesel-hybrid motorcycle with a big fuel tank and lithium battery (hopefully even a solid state battery one day) would be the dream.

So nice to have it in the public domain!
