Noice!
great video - ! I made one off the same plans and made more mistakes than you- I ended up using domino for the back slats- and didnt' glue ieach slat into each rail- I left them float- to let the wood move- in wet weather and it sure did- now I can see all the dominos showing above the shoulder. The original plan- used the slats just non glue fitted into the back rail- so any movement- would not show a tenon- This is really a question- from me- did all the glue joints on the slats - crack- ?-- also the plans showed a small brace under the front- rail-- ?- was this not needed/. thanks for making the video- it sure helps a lot-
Thank you for the great feedback. As of now, almost 2 years down the line, the Ipe has held up and the dominios are not showing. I'll keep you posted though
noice
Pretty dang cool sir! Like the dialogue as well. You have a new subscriber.

Do you have a product link to this brush? I have been looking for something like it
Nylon Filament Brush - 9 Pack Abrasive Filament Nylon Wire Bristle Drill Wheel and Cup Brush Set, Nylon Brush for Drill with 1/4 Inch Hex Shank for Removal of Rust Corrosion Paint - 80/100/ 240 Grit a.co/d/2VwovYZ
That's a youtube. I stopped sharing links, because it goes to trash in auto mode. All comments with a link are hidden. So no nice discussion with linked sources, no sharing of your own work with a nice and comfortable link. Time to change platform my firend. 😏 Btw, I'm currently finishing a home shop - just need to add some french cleat boxes over a table. And I'm making a handle for my axe 😁
We can use dado stacks in the UK…. Just not in a commercial shop
Good to know!
Beautiful work brother
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful 😍😍
Holy cats! is it finished?! it's beautiful!
Almost.... final coat goes on tomorrow
🎉 congratulations, you have successfully dished out a low point in your work
Not everything is a winner. I wanted to show the good and bad...
He makes better things than you ever will. Don’t be rude if you can’t even make a tiny table
I've been debating on getting a domino, but a lot of my planned joinery will be end grain to end grain. Do you have an experience on how this holds up?
It's definitely better than a pocket hole or dowel. For both strength and alignment, it's really good. The only better option would be some epic handcut joinery.
Awesome build & I never thought about the deep penetrating epoxy along with the Halcyon as a finish! 😎
Very cool & glad to see you’re back on the grind!
Where can I get the plans.
I got the initial plans from @finewoodworking magazine and customized a bit from there
What size chamfer did you use?
It was an 1 1/2" Chamfer bit
Ummm ...😃
What are the dimensions of the beam ?
18" x 15" x 96"
So, heat gun, scraper, and card scraper? Seems simple, wish I had a decent card scraper though
That's it! Check out DFM Tools. Their scrapers are just a few $. @dfmtools
Where did u get the inspiration
It was modeled off a prototype from the customer
Great bench. How many hours did the build take?
All in, about 20-25 hours if you include milling the boards to finishing
Uncle Chuck’s Cabin Rental view out back isn’t bad either.
did u check that lumber ?
No, the checking happened naturally as the log was drying
What an amazing thing to even attempt to build, let alone making it.
Thank you very much!
Your very skilled I love your videos but man the music is so bad.
I appreciate the nod. Sadly, I have to pick what TH-cam lists as "suggested music"
that's the best of the best only who used know about that
100% agree!
HOW IS THIS NOT POPULAR
That's what I want to know!
❤❤❤❤
❤❤
How is this 5,000$ worth of mistake?
The desk is slated to sell for $5k. If I had busted the pins on the leg, the grain match effect would been shot.
Genius
Thank you!
liked for percussion prowess.
Thank you very much!
Beautiful!!
Thank you!

Smart, smart ! Thank your

see, you're always saying work smarter, not harder, but in this video you CLEARLY show that you can work at demi-lightspeed when you want to, so it seems like the problem is you not wanting to apply yourself.
Well yeah, but I can't do that all the time. That's only after my cuban coffees
I love IPE, My tools do not.
I feel ya on that. I had to sharpen my tools 2-3x daily for this build
Nice.
Great work 💯
👍🏼
Great work! Keep it up. Hope your channel grows BIG 💯 all the best ✌🏼❤️
Thank you for the love!
It’s an ok job. If you wanted it to have a perfect beautiful job, you have to get a person that’s been a welder for 20+ years and worked with different materials, like SS, etc. It takes a very skilled hand to make straight lines, especially welding.
Thank you, I'll keep that in mind next time
