Nice work. Dont matter if its an old rusty van or a bugatti. The quality of the work is whats important. Good on you man. Have a grwat wknd and keep up the fine work. Way better than ppl using duct tape, spray foam, etc. Always say same thing, just an old beater with a heater. Maybe so. But if you fix it the tight way that old beater with a heater will still be thatbin 5 years. Foam and tape will make it rot faster in 1 year. If u goingbto do it, do it right.

Cycling the glow plugs like that is not productive. Watch the volt guage and then you will know when the glow plugs turn off. Cold start, they are on for about 2 minutes even though the "wait to start" light goes off

dont use rtv, make paper gasket for your spacers and coat the papergaskets with grease. they will seal and be reusable.

This will stop the lifters from ever going into v4 mode but you still could run dod on just the lifters will keep operating not sure why gm would ever stop a lifter from operating when you just need to stop fuel and spark but yea don’t really need a tune unless you want to just run v8 always
