Had the privilege of filling in on piano with Larry at the Quartet Convention in 1993 in Naahville. What a blast that was.

My goodness, its 2023 and God has blessed us to still have Jeanette Cooke singing to us, I take every chance that I have to hear her sing because she really is the last of the greatest bunch of people that God could ever imagine to create and I'm SOOOOO thankful that shes still out there working

I saw this lineup for the first time earlier this week I wondered if without Ed it was still going to feel like the Dixie Melody Boys or just another group using the name, after the concert I was proud to shake their hands and tell them in my opinion they really are The Dixie Melody Boys

Things sure have changed since my days with the Dixies. Greg Simpkins on the piano, Henry Daniels singing baritone, Dewey Williams on the lead, Mr. Ed on the bottom and me singing the ladies part. He Came Back and When I Cross to the Other Side of Jordan were the most requested songs. No soundtracks. No computers. Just good old, down home harmony with a sprinkling of blessings from the Lord.
