How am I supposed to afford veterinary care for my cat if even a 30 second nail cutting service costs £28.20p? I once had to have my cat sedated for a tooth removal, and guess how much it cost me? Almost £600! Vets, especially ones in the UK the American company CVS have got their greedy hands on, charge absolutely absurd prices. I dread to think how many pets suffer unnecessarily because greedy veterinary service companies price customers out of affording them.

Yes vets over charge hence they are not taken to vets unless serious issue

I have a medical condition which causes me to spend a lot of time on the toilet day and night my cat often comes into the bathroom sometimes I fall asleep he comes in and reaches up with his paw and touches me once Im awake he just leaves

Once I had 4 inside cats and a king size bed. To save washing the comforter too frequently, I placed 4 cat beds along one side. Every night they would choose a spot in a cat bed, first come first choice. This really helped to reduce washings. However, each morn I'd awake with my oldest cat, Jellybean, curled next to me in my left armpit. I had some major health issues the time, I truly believe he helped my recovery.

My cat puts his paws up to me like reaching up for me to hold him then he jumps on the coffee table to reach my face with his paw😊

My 15 lb ALH forest cat waits every night for me to just fall asleep the he jumps on me to startle me & then curls up beside me & we sleep that way all night long !!!

Ohhh she wakes me ip diligently every morning about 4:00 to 5:00 am to play. She comes to sit on my chest face in my face waking me up.. I’m not complaining just expressing these strange behaviors…

My cat used to sleep with me every night. But now she’s 14, she doesn’t anymore. I attribute that to I have insomnia and she’s getting old and doesn’t want to put up with tossing and turning.

Our 11 year old cat Burnie was very sick recently so we took him to the vet. The vet said it was likely he had cancer and to top it off he said he also had Dementia. We took him home and he soon became gravely ill. The medication we were given didn't seem to help him and he was deteriorating. Acting strangely with no appetite and losing a lot of weight. He seemed miserable and eventually he could barely walk. We had planned to put him down twice and both times cancelled as he seemed to be improving a little. Now a month later he's remarkably come full circle and doing great. He put the weight back on , his appetite is back and he has amazed us all. Burnie obviously doesn't have cancer or Dementia , I now have little trust in vets. $1000 later , a complete misdiagnosis and a lot of stress.

My cat absolutely refuses to let me go to the bathroom and close the door. Even if he’s sleeping I’ll close the door and there he is scratching the door and meowing. I haven’t closed the bathroom door in 10 years 😂🤣

Yes, I sleep with my cat whom I rescued ever since she came in the house to stay. She gets on my lap, and after she gets me to sleep, she moves to right beside my right chest and stays until I wake up. Oh, and she's real good at herding me off to bed every night. I just lost my Bootie, 16 1/2 years old very ill,it made me take a selfless choice to put jim down. My veterinarian saw me so distraught that made a phone call to the Humane Society putting me through a rep who after a short interview she got me Astrid. Astrid is a 2-3 years old palyful, affectionate, fiendly and social blacj female who heped me grieving Bootie ;ess painful. I'm a;ready very attached to Astrid just a couple of weeks after a got her and made a satisfactory adjustment and is also very loving to me. No, i didn't forget my beloved Boots, but Astrid made my grieving easier.A cat is happiness

I have to fight with mine over my faux fur blanket, she is a Chimera, split face, one side dark grey, the other beige and tan, with blue eyes. She hisses and growls when she is disturbed. She lets me know she is NOT budging from wherever she is laying. I love her so much, she is unique for sure, to me anyway.

I call my kitty, Mya, my sentry. She’s extremely timid regarding anyone outside the family but she’s extremely protective. I learned just how precious she was when I became the caretaker of my partner’s grandma in her last years. I’m disabled myself & Mya has always looked after me in a variety of ways, sticking by my side when I have seizures. When grandma moved in, I thought Mya would treat her like an outsider but from day one, she was acting as protector. At bedtime (usually glued to my side), I’d go looking for her and would always find her posted at grandma’s door, listening for any unusual sounds. She had night terrors that were scary just to witness & Mya would wake me up with so much worry in her eyes, insistent that I “check on Grandma!” She also learned that phrase. 😊

My cat has severe kidney disease and has been showing most of these for quite a while. She's 16 and been with ne since I was 2

My Gracie is only 11 and she is doing really well so far. But she will definitely be the last pet I own because I love her so dearly and I know I won't be able to recover after losing her. I dread that day more than anything

My cat Jenny came to us on our front porch as a feral cat and we took her in, when she was around 18 she went outside for her usual strolls but never came back, mind you she always went outdoors so she knew the area and always knew to claw at the window to be let in. She left the way she came into our lives.

I lost mine . She was just 9..fallen from chair and got paralysed.. My resilient baby admitted nd dr said won't walk again but she started walking within a week post discharge. But made mistake, did unnecessary vet visit for giving anima to her, v broke her trust, gave Hemopathic medications which she did nt like and was not required, dont know d reason, she stopped eating, started hiding from us due to fear nd trauma.. Her chest filled with fluid, post observation of her abnormal breathing, admitted again and she left😢dr couldn't not dignosed.. Instead of giving her rest, v gave more trouble to her😢i cant forgive myself till my last.. I killed my baby..

I have a Guard Cat. He guards me and when not sleeping by my pillow he sleeps on a big cushion outside bedroom door. He whistles at the door when he wants to come in and he tells me loudly when he wants me to run around garden playing with him! He is the supervisor in our home.

My cat did this quite of often…my response to him would always be -sorry, Bobo I’m not a cat. I can’t go out with you to go play like other cats(also told him that it would look quite weird lol)
