I have realized that Anki training becomes less effective the longer it goes on so I had to pick some sort of cut off point for Anki. I decided this will be my first and last deck. If this deck really is most commonly used words then it is these words I should see when I do more immersion training. I wanted to do more immersion training now but I only have so much time to study. When I finish this deck, I am going to take all the time I spend on Anki and use it for immersion training. Interestingly, I have noticed that the way the speakers spoke in Rosetta Stone made sentences and words more rememorable then way they some of the speakers in Kaisha 1.5K deck spoke. Some of them sound like a test of how well you can understand someone roughly speaking.

It seems to work for me. You can use it to learn Japanese or anything since it is just a flash card program.

Learn what the basic particles are used for. Your have to look them each up individually to find descriptions that have all of their uses. This includes は, が, を, に, ね. よ, から, の, で, も, へ, まで, また, まだ, か, と and や. There are more particles like なら, しか and ので(combination of の and で)。 You can take things one step at a time. Your need to find something to give you examples of basic sentences. That is why I was using this keisha 1.5k deck. Since your a beginner, you may want to find easier sentences. I started off with Rosetta Stone myself but you could try things like children stories from these websites. tadoku.org/japanese/en/free-books-en/#l0 hukumusume.com/douwa/pc/world/ Since you know kana, you want to use kanji as soon as possible. Your want to use furigana so you can see both the kana and the kanji. Seeing the kanji is critical to learning how words relate with each other. There are many words that have the same kana but mean completely different things because they are different words. Bunpro is useful for understanding certain grammar structures. bunpro.jp/grammar_points These are taught as grammar points but often grammar points are just something they tell you to memorize when you should be learning the underlying logic behind them. This can still help with trying to understand it though. This is why I like Cure Dolly grammar videos. Finally, you need a good way to learn grammar. I find that I have learned a lot through Cure Dolly videos. From what I have heard, many places give you rules without any understanding of why those rules exist. She tries to explain the underlying logic. You can continue to watch these videos until they get into concepts that are to advance for you; then continue studying and come back to them later.

I have learned random things like interjections for years but almost all of my studying has been in the last 22 months.

I will have to figure out which sentence was the intended sentence. From what I understand from looking it up, they are both grammatically correct: こんな大きなダイヤは珍しいです Means "This kind of big diamond is rare." You can be referring to a quality besides it's size when you say "this kind of." こんなに大きなダイヤは珍しいです Means "A diamond this big is rare." As you said, it is emphasizing the size.

I am currently recording in a location with a terrible internet connection so I cannot stream. I am uploading my recordings to BitChute, Rumble, Twitch and TH-cam. I have considered upgrading this places internet connection but the cost doesn't make sense right now.

@@Kinorashi Sounds like a trap to me. You are going to need an insane amount of volume and focusing down on the small differences in meanings of words can and will hold back pure volume. You're going to naturally pick up on the vibes of the words through your immersion either way. I get like 700 reps in 1.5 hours if you want a number for comparison.

@@Hoppitot To me at least, it doesn't really feel like I am learning if I spend such little time learning nuance that I have no clue what is being said.

I try to pronounce it before the reveal for the practice of doing it without hearing it recently. Also, a native Japanese speaker told me これでお願いします is valid but it has different meanings based on the background. For example, if your given multiple choices, you can say "this one please" like the example shows. You can also pick multiple things with これとこれでお願いします

@@Kinorashi Yes, in the case of given multiple choices it is because you are making a subset of a set, you are making a delimitation, so you are saying "this and not the others" basically. Good that you went to look further and thanks for reminding me about that. Btw, you want me to explain about で further? I would explain its etymology and what it feels like, also it is used just with some type of verbs while に is used with other types of verbs, etc. It not about the noun you are using with, but rather the verb. It is interesting stuff, but maybe we saturated the subject. But yea, で has this feeling of making a delimitation, a circle, a set or subset. About the shadowing, I think it is incorrect shadowing to do it without hearing recently, like I said, you can do it in your head, if you do it like this you are reinforcing your own way of speaking and is not shadowing, shadowing has to be done at same time basically or just right after.

​@@andrettax6052 Feel free to try to explain it further. Understanding the nuances of the particles takes a lot of studying and one read through will never truly give an understanding. Also, I am not just trying to recall from how it should sounds in in mind. I am trying to do recall for the actual pronunciation and that is why I pronounce everything ahead of time. I do have to be careful about practicing the wrong thing. Your notice several times in the stream that after I heard it once, I changed my following pronunciations. There are some more complicated pronunciation patterns I have noticed with characters like し that I will not understand until I do some more in depth studying of pronunciation. Mainly, the situations of when it gets voiced vs non voiced.

1) Install Program 2) Download deck about what your studying 3) Upload the deck into Anki 4) If you understand the card then you pass it. If you don't understand the card then you fail it. (Use pass fail addon. Also change the studying timings based on the Moe Way decks.) Did I forget to explain anything?

With time saved from not trying to actively study as well as reading things out loud, it will probably take you 50.4 hours to get to the point at the end of chapter 26 where I finish the alpha. That said, I spent a lot of time exploring areas and I have known people to finish things in almost half the time I took from just not spending as much time exploring areas (26 hours maybe). The alpha ends before the air themed temple which I suspect was located in the city I reached at the end of the Alpha. That combined with resolving the plot will take some more time. The story could go on for a long time after that. I have several suspicions about what will happen later on.

@@Kinorashi I see. Aight, cool. Thanks. Was just trying to get an idea of how much content is actually in the game. It seems like there's quite a lot, actually. I know release is just in 2 days now, but have they mentioned how much it's gonna cost? IIRC, the Kickstarter supporters got the game for around $17 or something, right? So maybe $20 or $30?
