Big jumps, flips, rips and bashing - this is Chester's RC.
Traxxas Revo 3.3 | Huge Nitro Flips and Jumps in the Sand Pits
This is my first bash in the sand pits with my Traxxas Revo 3.3 Nitro Monster Truck. This thing is a blast! I pulled off some huge back flips with really smooth landings. Awesome suspension and really tough. Took some good tumbles with no damage.
I've done some upgrades to my Traxxas Revo 3.3. I installed a Losi 3.4 carb, THS Pipe, and heavier shock springs to soften the landings. Last fall I got it broken in, then while I was testing the THS pipe at my buddy's house, the transmission locked up on me. I was too busy to take it apart, so it sat on a shelf all winter. When Spring came, I took it out and realized all that had happened was a pebble got stuck in the gears! So I took it out to the sand pits to see what it could do and I was not disappointed.
My tune was not ideal on this day. I think my low speed needle needed some tweaking, but I didn't mess with it. I had one crash that seemed to rattle something and it was moving super slow - turned the high speed needle up a bit more and it seemed to be good to go for the rest of the bash. I went through two or three tanks in this bash. Overall it was running well but I know I could get my tune better. I'm still pretty new to Nitro, so any tips from those of you with more experience would be welcomed.
Special guests in this video include my buddies' Losi 5IVE-T 2.0 Gas 1/5 scale, a HoBao Hyper MT 1/8 scale Nitro monster truck and a Traxxas WideMaxx.
This was sort of an impromptu bash session with friends so I didn't do the traditional intro and outro sections I normally do. That will still be the standard format for the channel.

มุมมอง 9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The Losi Super Baja Rey 2.0 is a massive adrenaline rush packed into a huge 1/6 scale 8s RC Desert Truck with absolutely incredible scale suspension. This is the ultimate scale RC car for bashing. This Super Baja Rey (SBR) features Brenthel licensing and has an amazing scale body built to look nearly identical to its 1:1 counterpart. The real star of the show here is Losi's impressive suspensio...
Traxxas X-Maxx | The Most Durable Large-Scale Basher
มุมมอง 3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The Traxxas X-Maxx has achieved "Legendary" status when it comes to durable large scale RC bashers. This 1/6 scale RC monster truck is an absolute beast, especially in the sand pits. In this video I take the X-Maxx FULL SEND over massive jumps and I have simply no idea how it survived the devastating beating it took. I am convinced that the X-Maxx simply cannot be killed. It's actually that goo...
Losi DBXL 2.0 Gas | Second Tank - Ripping in the Sand Pits
มุมมอง 16K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The DBXL 2.0 is an absolute beast - a 1/5 scale Gas powered RC Desert Buggy with a 32cc 2-stroke engine. This is my first gas powered RC and it's been a total blast so far. Part 2 of my first day with this awesome RC sees it ripping gloriously through the sand pits. In Part 1, my buddy helped me get a nice low idle and I ran through a full tank at 50% throttle. This second tank video was filmed...
Losi DBXL 2.0 Gas | First Tank and Break-In
มุมมอง 7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The DBXL 2.0 is an absolute beast - a 1/5 scale Gas powered RC Desert Buggy with a 32cc 2-stroke engine. This is my first gas powered RC and it's been a total blast so far. In this video I run it through its first tank to get it broken in. My buddy is good at tuning engines and helped me get a nice low idle, then we let it idle for 15 minutes. After cooling down for 10 minutes or so, I started ...
Talion 6s EXB - Sand Pit Rips
มุมมอง 2412 ปีที่แล้ว
This Truggy is awesome! The Arrma Talion 6s EXB RTR is completely at home in the sand pits. The belted Katar tires absolutely live for this terrain. I upgraded the pinion gear to a 20T and it gives this thing so much more attitude and intensity. Great speed, beautiful suspension, killer drifts and big jumps - this thing is an absolute blast to run. Especially when compared to the 1/5 scale vehi...
Outcast 6s EXB - Brand New Stunt!!
มุมมอง 952 ปีที่แล้ว
Love this stunt truck! This is mostly stock, just added some motor fans, with the ESC Punch setting at 9. Didn't have a lot of light left so got a quick run in. Lots of double back flips and standing backflips - this truck has a ton of attitude and is almost always out of control which makes it tons of fun. And then, towards the end, while trying to do a front flip, I hit the side of the jump a...
Outcast 8s EXB in the Sand Pits - First Breaks!
มุมมอง 1292 ปีที่แล้ว
This is my second time bringing the massive, 30lb 1/5 Scale Outcast 8s EXB Stunt Truck out to my favorite bash spot - the sand pits. I had a lot of fun, but it was definitely not my best performance today! I had trouble doing more than one backflip at a time, and on a few occasions I couldn't even do a single backflip. Looking back at the video... I think I was going way too fast! I wasn't leav...
Losi DBXL-E 2.0 - Made for the Sand Pits
มุมมอง 8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The Losi DBXL-E 2.0 is an absolute beast in the sand pits - it was literally made for this type of environment. This was my second day with this 1/5 scale buggy and I was absolutely blown away. It is easily my favorite RC to just flat out shred in these sand pits, which is my favorite bash spot. I had a really clean run with multiple battery packs. The batteries actually last quite a while too....
Losi DBXL-E 2.0 - First Rip - Huge Air!
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
My first day with my Losi DBXL-E 2.0 was a huge success! This buggy is massive, at about 30 pounds with two 4s Spectrum 100c 5,000mah batteries installed. It sounds massive hitting my homemade jumps - and it gets HUGE air! More importantly, it flies very smoothly and lands beautifully. Classic Losi suspension, just really well dialed in from the factory. Shout out the special guest of this vide...
Outcast 8s EXB - First Bash - TRIPLE BACKFLIP!
มุมมอง 932 ปีที่แล้ว
I got my Arrma Outcast 8s EXB 1/5 scale truck in the summer of 2021. It was my first 1/5 scale truck, considerably larger and heavier than anything else I had at the time, so I was pretty nervous to take it out for the first time and definitely didn't want anything to break prematurely. This video is from my first weekend with the completed build - please excuse the quality, this was shot on my...
Arrma Kraton 6s V5 - Sunday Flips (GoPro Hero 10)
มุมมอง 602 ปีที่แล้ว
Testing my new GoPro Hero 10 with my Arrma Kraton 6s V5. First time editing GoPro footage - using Adobe Premiere Pro CC. This is the first RC car I got and it immediately hooked me. After several really hard runs from a beginner, it needs some work. You can hear the rear diffs having a hard time I snapped one of the steel rear diff outdrives on this run. Some maintenance needed or, I may just t...
Spektrum batteries suck. Try a better brand with 6000mah or better. I run CNHL 6200mAh 120C cells it lasts almost 15-20min or so bashing around the track.
I think all off road Rc cars thrive on loose gravel/sand tracks like in this video. Great on transmissions, enough slip on tyres and everything just lasts longer. Soft sand, rocky ground, tar and things just keep breaking..
wow great skill bro
Don't use the Lord's name in vain
They're in the desert.
That place looks like so much fun!! What a great video. The car handles great even with the big air. Some minor tweaks and you'll have it dialed in just how you'd like. Granted this video is now a year old I bet its probably tuned already! Thanks for sharing
Nice place you have there to run the car. Great video
It’s fun just to drive it slow how the weight shifts. I’ve got almost 2grand just in vitavon upgrades. Got to the point of it being a shelf queen
Great channel brother 🏁🏁👍👍
Nice video brother 👍👍💯💯🏁🏁
Hi, amazing video, after running on the sand dunes, what cleaning do you do? pressurized air, water, brush, lubricate everything at the end? Is the sand dangerous? any special advice? thanks
Hi, amazing video, after running on the sand dunes, what cleaning do you do? pressurized air, water, brush, lubricate everything at the end? Is the sand dangerous? any special advice? thanks
Perfect place to run the truck.. Good job on this video brother..
Nice video 👍
Boring ... electric vehicles are terrible. Only place I enjoy them ... indoor carpet racing :)
Awesome run…
Even a 15t pinion with fans would be good for that setup on that type of hill terrain. Definitely aluminum front / rear braces are needed for the weight and those big air jumps. Wider tires also help absorb impact along with heavy duty DDM springs and thicker shock oil.
Only thing those rubber boots are good for is retaining water causing more rust....They won’t be missed!!😊
I really liked it with the quiet pipe on it. Those tuned pipes are so annoying to listen to that it takes away from the fun of driving/watching larger scale vehicles. You were losing a ton of speed at the base of those jumps as it dug in each time. Too bad as it really flew nice. Makes me miss my baja 5bSS...
Nice driving and nice video thanks for sharing
What a hell of a playground. Geez. I just ordered one. Blam 😊
wapisimo el sitio y los saltos salu2
Damn dude, you drove the wheels off of that truck!
Thanks man! This thing is a blast. Runs through batteries quick, but it's an adrenaline rush while it's going. Thanks for watching!
Awesome vid and bash with this big beast 🔥🔥🤘🏻
Thank you! I have a ton of other videos recorded, just need to find time to edit them. Thanks for watching!
Very nice backflips for the first bash with the Outcast 8s exb! I'm still buying my parts. 👍
Thank you! This thing is a beast for sure, tons of fun to run.
it looks small in the vid but i went to see it today that was the second biggest rc car there the first was the xxmax
I know right? The size of the space it's in makes all the difference. A big outdoor space like this and it looks like a 1/10 scale. It's no joke though. Huge and fun. Thanks for watching!
Thank you ! great video. no music, no talking, pure joy of bashing, 4K/60 . N I C E !!
Thank you! I've got a lot more to post I've just been really busy but I hope to get to them soon. I've got like 25 more videos recorded. Thanks for watching!
Does it have enough power to maintain get up and go if you regeared for a top speed of 45ish?
I think the speed is closer to 30-35 stock. Feels faster because of its size. If it was geared up I bet it could do pretty well.
What did you for run time on it?
It's been a while but if I recall correctly I was getting around 15-18 minutes on 2 4s 100c batteries. The sand definitely didn't help as it had to work a lot harder than it would on a more solid surface. Thanks for watching!
Hey man what power system you running
It's running a Hobbywing Max 5 ESC and Hobbywing 5687 1100kv motor. I've got another video that's a little more recent that goes into the build in detail. I have another one after that that I haven't finished editing, where I address some of the issues from the second video. Lots more to come, just need to find the time to edit! Thanks for watching.
Which one should I buy between X-maxx vs Losi 2.0 DBXLE? My requirement is should be fun and fast along with durability
Hard to say! Very different feeling vehicles. I'm going to assume that you have the space to run such a large RC if those are the ones you're considering. I will say the DBXL is a lot more planted, harder to roll over, and one of my favorites to just straight drive. The X-Maxx however is a lot lighter, like 8-10 pounds lighter if I recall correctly, and given the plastic construction I feel more confident in its durability. Parts for the X-Maxx are also a lot cheaper if you do break them since they're mostly plastic. The plastic flexes under impacts which makes them pretty impressively durable. The X-Maxx is a more out of control experience where you can roll or flip or wheelie and be on the edge of your seat, and bash like crazy and more than likely not have any major damage. The DBXL handles much better, more like a racer, is very controlled but also very fast and awesome. I love them both, but they're very different. I'd recommend going with the one that you think will be more likely to fit your style. Good luck and thanks for watching!
@@chestersrc7229 I have the DBXL-E 2.0 (fox edition) and an XRT, the DBXL-E 2.0 feels like a small version of a real desert buggy and the XRT feels like a scaled-up toy car. Also, the DBXL-E 2.0 has real 1/5 scale components while the XRT has more normal-sized components. If you really want to have a 1/5 scale RC, the Losi is the way to go. I also agree, it feels way more planted and stable than the XMaxx/XRT because the parts are way more stiff (but not as forgiving as the bending plastic parts from traxxas).
Just bought this 6s exb, can't wait to take it out. That's a cool wide ramp, what ramp is that?
These are awesome, hopefully you'll love it. Thanks! I actually built it. I started out using CCxRC's tutorial on how he builds backflip ramps for his monster trucks, and then I modified it so the opposing side would have a 45 degree ramp. Lots of fun! Thanks for watching.
Hi sir from your experience she’ll I go with the gas or electric? I planing to get one soon but I couldn’t decide yet what to get Thank you
Completely user preference. Gas and nitro offer a visceral experience that electric can't match, but in my personal opinion and with my busy schedule, I prefer the simplicity of electric. Electric also give a lot more instant power and torque where as gas is more linear. Both are great, so it really comes down to your own preference. Good luck!
@@chestersrc7229 thank you sir a bought the electric
Great choice, you'll love it! Have fun!
my xmaxx is orange and black my e bike is orange and grey and black... might as well get this too to match... why not I say
Seems like sound logic to me!
@@chestersrc7229 gotta be ocd 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 but it works out perfect haha
I too find it easy to come up with logical reasons that I need to spend more money lol
How do you like it with that gearing? I currently use a 27t with the 47t and it rips already but I use it mainly on grass so it does get somewhat hot.
I like it! However I think it might be a little more built for speed and lowering the tooth count on the pinion gear might help with torque on backflips. That said I took it out again after this and it ran WAY better. I have video of it, I just need to finish the edit. Been really busy lately but I hope to get to it soon. Thanks for watching!
Not "full" power yet. You will notice increased power until the 5th or 6th tank. Ive got the same engine in my 5ive T and once its fully broken in it is quite powerful. After a while i installed a Bartalone Velocity stack, dome filter and a Victory silenced pipe and i can honestly say it is at least 50% faster than the second tank full. I'm not sure how the Velocity stack will work on the DBXL 2.0 but i do know you would obviously need to cut out the carb side of the body. When i get my 2.0 i want to install the v1 body on it and remove the wing. I liked the look of the V1 better. Not saying the V2 looks like crap because is doesnt, i just like the V1 looks better. I would want to add the Velocity stack too but im not quite sure how that would work with it as it sticks out quite far on the 5ive T (still within the cage though) but there isnt quite the same interior space on the DBXL.
Thanks! This is great information. I've installed a Bartolone pipe and it definitely improved things, sounds great too. I'm only 3 tanks in so far, looking forward to more. I did film a video testing the Bartolone pipe but I haven't gotten around to editing it yet unfortunately. I hope to have the time soon. Thanks for watching!
Nice location. Natural habitat for that beast.
Thank you! You're absolutely right. I'm extremely lucky. Lots more to come!
What puch you have yours set on spr gears ⚙️
I've got the Max6 at max punch and stock gearing. Thanks for watching!
Oh my ,😊😊😊👌I love mine.takes a beating,,make sure to loctite set screws on the drive axles, one of mine came off, cheers.
Mine did too! And they were backordered for about a month. They've all been loctited ever since. Thanks for watching!
I had the same problem on my Lost LMT, only had front wheel drive on a monster truck. But when I flipped it up his roof the screw fell down, the screw slingshotted in the car itself so I got lucky.
@@feki122 lol,,thats cool,,i looked everywhere for mine in the dirt,,lol.no luck.
That's super lucky! I wish I had that kind of luck.
In the sand pits which truck do you enjoy more the Losi baja 2.0 or the dbxle
Great vid bro. Great spot to bash.
Thank you so much! I love it there. I'm so lucky to have a great place like this to run my RCs. Becomes expensive pretty quick collecting the big ones but it's a ton of fun. Thanks for watching!
The sound that thing makes when it hits the ground is like tossing a beer-filled cooler off the roof lol, _BOOOOF_
😂 Yup! Yet somehow it keeps moving. Boggles the mind. Thanks for watching!
Great vid, i love my Xmaxx took it out earlier and gave it hell and still come back in one piece, subscribed and smashed the bell great content
Thank you so much! I have no idea how the X Maxx survives the things it does. It's on a whole other level. Thanks for the sub! Tons more content coming.
Respect. Subbed and belled.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! Lots more to come. Thanks for watching!
best bash and talion mate👌👌💪💪
Thanks so much! The Talion rips!
fantastic bash mate...looking most fun spot...great sand keep going champ👑
Thank you! I'm very lucky to have such a great area to bash in. Lots more to come. Thanks for watching!
Another great video. And, it helped a lot. Now I have to buy both the X-Maxx and the DBXL E. 😂
Oh no! I'm so sorry for your bank account 😂 Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed. They're truly do feel completely different, so if you enjoy both styles, I think it is worth it. Thanks for watching!
That’s a great spot you got there bud. Need to get some paddles! I’m going to be getting a db. How you liking it so far? New SUB!!! 👊🏼
Thank you so much! I appreciate it - lots more videos to come. I'm loving the DBXL - I already loved the E version so I was pretty confident. Handles really well and the gas sound and feel is totally different. I'll have another video up soon after I install the new tuned pipe. Pretty excited for how that will affect the performance. Thanks for watching!
@@chestersrc7229 nice yea I know I’m getting the same itch. I remember how much fun the nitros and gas were back in the day and now I want to get back into that again. Electric is fun but nothing beats a 2 stroke. Awesome I can’t wait to see how it handles after the new pipe.
Absolutely. I love nitro too but the fact that gas seemingly just runs with minimal or no tuning is very appealing and sort of bridges the gap between electric and induction for me. I love them all for different reasons. Appreciate the support - I'll definitely post updates once I get that pipe going, I'm really looking forward to it.
Sand pits = tons of fun = kills bearings = kills motors = kills rc = was still fun though
Ha - absolutely! Unfortunately it's the main place I run my rcs. It's brutal on them. But I have a bunch of rcs and can't take more than a few with me at once so that does help spread out the abuse over time. Thanks for watching!
Very nice spot man lots to learn on these 5th scales I wish I could bring my outlaw 40gt out there and rip with yall but I'm in south Wisconsin mainly flat terrain 😒
Thanks so much! I'm very lucky for sure. And yeah, absolutely, lots to learn. Lot of fun though too. Lots more to come. Next video with this DBXL will have either a DDM or Bartolone pipe. Probably Bartolone. Thanks for watching!
Looking forward to the pipe install. It makes a huge difference.
Thank you - I'm excited too! I originally bought a DDM Dominator, but it's technically made for the original DBXL and isn't a perfect fit in the 2.0, though it can work. Before installing it, Bartolone Racing released their new tuned pipe for the DBXL 2.0. So I bought that too. Trying to decide which to install (I can still return whatever I don't install). I'm leaning Bartolone. Do you have any experience with either? Thanks for watching!
@@chestersrc7229 Bartalone pipe!
Thanks @Chino! That's how I'm leaning. It looks like a really simple install. Hopefully will install it and run it within the next week or two and get a video put up shortly thereafter. Thanks for watching!
@@chestersrc7229 yea I had the Dominator on mine than I put a Bartalone pipe that was for my MTXL now I got the Bartalone end bleed that’s made just for the 2.0 I’ll be making more vids once I get time. Keep the vids coming I’ll be watching.
Ohh right on I've actually seen your videos I think! I got the mid bleed. I like a deeper engine sound typically so the description of the mid bleed sounded more up my alley. I'll keep an eye out for your videos too - not much out there on this new pipe yet!
Solid X-Maxx Bash video and some great driving!! Footage was epic!!! Love my X-maxx, nothing comes close to the durability this thing has out of the box. With the Max 6 it's another level. What gear ratio do you run? I run 20t pinion and 50t spur and it's a LOT faster. Traxxas released the New X-Maxx 8s with oversized inner bearings on the front and rear hubs so no more blown little inner bearings!!! Subbed.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words. I completely agree about the durability and the Max 6. I'm actually still running stock gearing. I'd like to be able to do back flips but I can only do them off my 45 degree ramp, not here in the sand pits. I hadn't heard about the oversized bearings, that's interesting. But yeah I couldn't believe some of the crashes this thing survived. Lots more videos to come - thanks for watching!
What🤔 a whole new x maxx 8s or just the carriers
@@gonzodetroitify just the upgraded carriers. Check my yt vid on it. Oversized bearings all round now, not the thin ones that blow out all the time.
