Add Filters +
มุมมอง 3732 ปีที่แล้ว
One of the most powerful and versatile features of Revit is the use of view filters. View filters allow for highly customizable methods for controlling the visibility and graphics of elements within Revit. At GeminiBIM, we have developed the Add Filters add-in to provide Revit users with a streamlined approach to bulk-adding or modifying filters applied to Revit view templates. This add-in alle...
Template Transfer
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Managing view templates within Revit can be a time-consuming task; ensuring that specific desired settings are consistent across multiple view templates or adjusting settings across numerous templates within a Revit project can pose a challenge. Here at GeminiBIM, we developed the Template Transfer utility that provides an intuitive and efficient method to apply changes across a single view tem...

Duplicate Sheets with Views in Revit with Dynamo
I followed these instructions but the modified family still behaved as if it were hosted to the Level. There was no "offset" field available in the Instance Properties.
Thank you!!!
Thanks!!!
Thank you for the note about referencing the workplane not the level plane, fixed my issue!
very intersting, thanks for sharing
Awesome video, thanks!
Thank you for the tutorial :) It really helped
Hello there, this script is fully functional in Revit 2025 and the latest version of Dynamo except for the Background group of nodes that is a dictionary of all view templates. The Orchid 212.1.0.8138 version is no longer a downloadable node package in Dynamo- there are also issues with the Element.Name and Dictionary.ByKeysValues nodes in the same group. Is there an alternative node to the Orchid.RevitProject.ViewTemplate.All? Perhaps in one of the six other packages used in this script? Thanks for the help.
Thank you so much for posting this! we have a huge inconsistency with the way our symbol offsets work, and this is the first explanation i've seen that actually makes sense to me. I'm updating our entire wall-mounted library of electrical families now!
Thanks, Great!
Thanks for sharing this GEM! It worked for Plan and Section view, but didn't transfer for 3D View However, the existing 3D view does have the same properties as the 3D View Template I wanted to transfer over, just that it wasn't made into a View Template Just have to click and duplicate the View Template for 3D. Works either way Just writing it here for other people who might have the same problem as mine.
THANK YOU!!! Works perfectly. Just needed to download the correct version of bimorphNodes package (version 3.0.3) as it does not work with the most recent. Great work!!!
Excellent Video!
Yay, inserting the saved schedule for a lot of parameters is saving me SOOO much time! Thanks a lot!!
Thanks for the video. Know if there's a way to copy multiple project parameters w/ dynamo from one bim 360 proj to another bim 360 proj?
your video taught me something I thought I knew! I have been struggling for two days not knowing why the handles were not shown in the Revit while everything was working just fine in the Family Model. Thank you very much!
this also will not overwrite
Great tips. Thank you.
Hello, can you explain step by step how to get the clearance without the properties of the system please?
Thanks a million, that's a great video. Very detailed. I have my setup in the annotation family working as shown. Ladded into model element family then created and mapped the parameters like shown also. I keep getting the 'Parameter Symbol_Offset_Horizontal has an invalid value.' error. Is there any common reasons for this?
Finally explained! Well done
you just save my day....great tips, thanks man
Thank you. Now off to find the video with the Dynamo you mentioned.
Awesome video! Really useful, thanks. How might I alter the formulas to match when working in metric?
Seems to be working actually! But only on the one I edited rather than each of the same symbols that are a part of that family in the project. Confusing!
@@adambulpitt7002 Did you only get this working on your annotation family or did you get it successfully loaded into a family for used in a project? I can get the annotation family working when flexing all the values, but get the error [Parameter Symbol_Offset_Horizontal has an invalid value.] when I bring it into the parent family (In this case a fire alarm break glass unit) and try flex the values again. This error only happens when I try to do minus number on the horizontal offset. Any ideas on solution?
Found the issue. I never mapped the scale factor parameter. The very last one in the video at 15:00 mins
Wow so nice! Thank you so much
Great Job. It helped a lot. Very well explained.
Id recommend not using it, as it freezes, could be related to buggy python code
Really great overview. This should be standard information!
18 minutes for this ?
I look at tiwtch videos and anime stuff why did youtube reccomend me this XDDD
thanks, is there a chance you can share the script? I couldn't find it here.

Would this also imply that if said "grids" were copy/monitored that they would not be able to monitor any changes from linked files any longer? Asking for a friend..
Fantastic tip! This was such a life saver for me, thank you.
my manage worksetxs is greyed out when i got to manage links, any suggestions?
Same issue
Link must be a workshared model 🤷
me too
Thank you! Excellent description.
thanks you so much
Anyone else find the file was corrupted? tried multiple downloads and still the same thing
This will be a time saver for me. I ran the file in Dynamo Player and it just continuously runs without finding sheets. When I open the node in Dynamo I noticed that the Custom Node: Clockwork v.2.1.2 (Binary.FromBooleans) box is red. Does this mean that I am missing this custom node causing it not to find any sheets? I am new to Dynamo so I apologize if I am not making sense.
at 17:48 i cant seem to move the object up as per the vid is there a reason why?
This was really useful, thank you!
This is really Helpful, Thanks Alot Looking forward to have more such informative videos
Excellent video! I replicated your routine but I found that the Rhythm node "Applications.OpenDocumentFile" is not available for the 2020 update. What do you recommend? thanks for sharing your knowledge.
The last box is yellow for me.
Thank you it worked great on Revit 2018. but when I tried it on Revit 2020 I get all kinds of warnings on the customer node for Data-Shapes. Do you know why this is happening? thank you
I have the same problem. Have you managed to find a solution?
This works great. Thank you. I'm trying to bring in view temp's from a different version (year) but it's giving the "None" in datashapes. Know if there's a way to copy from another version?
you should probably upgrade the file or else you'll probably have to wait much longer when it opens. I kept getting "None" in datashapes also, and realized that I had to clean up some null values by replacing them with real values otherwise the ListViewData noide wasn't going to work. Here's what I did: Used ReplaceNulls node by connecting from the IsViewTemplate node's boolean output to the SEQ input in ReplaceNulls, also added a code block that says false; and connected it the replacement input on my ReplaceNulls node. Then I connected the SEQ output of that node to the FilterByBoolMask node as shown in the video. This cleans up the values.
Thanks for the awesome work! Unfortunately for some reason, it shows me that I do not have any view template in the selected file. drive.google.com/file/d/1gYuHY-pVLhfhnKC1XJefjOx7f1vA9F15/view?usp=sharing
I have found nodes from Quasar Packages that do that directly. Just for information :)
Good suggestion however I think Quasar only pulls from linked files
Hi Gemini, I don't understand one thing. The rhythm node "Document.CopyElementsFromDocuments takes (document,Elements) as arguments, but we give him (Document,String). Because we only select the templates name. Then I have of course a mistake. I dont understand how it worked for you haha :) If you have any idea ?
Wow thanks for this. I have 5 years experience in revit and didn't think of this. I usually copy/create a small pipe with slope and change the slope to whatever is desired. But adding additional slope options is also an efficient way. Ducts on the other hand doesnt have slope options which sucks. Complicated bends are also needed when working on ducts.
