Inches.....
"Promo sm" 🤪
So glad to see paste paper show up on TH-cam. It’s a great art form and one I’ve enjoyed for years but didn’t know much about the history. Many thanks and happy new year - hope to see more.
I’d worry that paste paper would have a greater tendency to get moldy or that it would lack durability. Still, it seems fun to experiment with it. Thanks for the history lesson and demo.
Great video about Paste-Paper!!! Mentioning the religios approach is not really a good topic to me, because during the time being on earth, religion has rather become a hazard or a shame. Nevertheless happy greetings from the motherland of "Kleisterpapier"...🙂
Nice
Very nice work and great work
Bellisimo trabajo
A stencil, that is sheet of metal used for a pochoir print is visible in the ninth minute in this other youtube documentary. th-cam.com/video/M8CCC46m-aQ/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=GoldmarkGallery
How do you spell Lauren Kusrow? I couldn't find her channel, a link would be easier to find...

Thank you for sharing this, very well explained! Love all the books you made! Very cool
Wonderful lectures thanks for putting in this work.
Eff blm
this is really interesting and very creative!! very informational
Excellent!
IMO Gouache would be a better choice than acrylic because acrylic dries so rapidly and cannot be reactivated. Acrylic will ruin any brush it dries on, not a desired quality for an extremely slow process like pochoir. Most acrylic paints dry shiny. Gouache, on the other hand, dries to a beautiful matte finish. It can be applied opaquely or diluted with water to achieve transparency, and can be reactivated from a dry state with the addition of more water. I'm pretty sure the pochoirs from the 1920s were made with gouache.
They were almost exclusively... and the quality and range of colour in gouache is much better too. What I would like to know is how were the thin metal plates cut to make stencils.... lots of mysteries in those old techniques....
Great work!
What lovely work, thank you for sharing it
Beautiful work.
A very interesting lecture!
You are a master. These books are beautiful
very cool!
Great video on this Beauvais! There actually isn't a lot of material on carousel books so this is super helpful <3
Often called Star Books because they form stars when opened
The world of printing is fascinating! This is very inspiring. TFS
Beautiful video and explanation of the process, and student examples after teaching.
Paper art
Good video. I like the artwork and the connections to antinatalism philosophy.
Very good video. You can also bring in the perspective of other sentient species.
0:30 The recent situation happening in the world has changed our life style, and we really need to learn how to do earn money online. What if you want to setup your own business, but you dont know how? I recommend you this guy, he will setup you auto proffit site with done for you 6000 monthly income. It is a ready made website with content, connected offers (digital products), google advertisement, amazon advertisement and 1 month connected traffic of visitors. Managing it wisely you earn 6k monthly and your expenses will be 1950$ for the installation and 600-700$ for traffic which you need to send monthly. Speaking about traffic you will not need to worry about this- as we usually send this amount and we continue maintaining it. It is not the system that you just press the button- and here is money, as you will need to manage it. But if you follow our instructions the income is guaranteed. w h t s a p +7 9 6 7 1 5 7 0 5 8 1
Another excellent video. Thanks for making these!
This is a great resource for a video I am making on "Why botanical illustrations prevailed while photography progressed" for my history of photography class.
What kind of solution do you use to intense color? Thanks!
This is a great way to introduce alternative photography and an intro to photo screen printing. One of my design students took it far out - making cyanotype-printed silk fabric and then she designed a sheath to wear to the final critique! What a knockout that was! Cyanotype works on nylon, too, and of course cotton - anything with cellulose. Thanks, Beauvais!
Yep, I thought you would do something like this. Very nice to have this in these times.
Great video Beauvais! I have been recommending my students get the liquid kits so they don't have to mix up the dry powders at home.
Thanks Hannah - as we are only doing one book project with cyanotype, and to keep the cost within budget, I went with the Sunprint Kit option. They will use the cyanotypes as a collage element within a book that will have a paste-paper cover and can also include stamping and pochoir.
Good work, hopefully your just an observer. Because blm is on the wrong side of history. Unless you like totalitarian governments. Not to mention, the 3 blm hoes are self proclaimed marxist. It's always the white people trying to find virtue in proclaiming that we know the plight of the black man more than the black man....super gay. Kinda like every popstar in hollywood. What's the next stamp, ' go wakanda'? Go broke....your a little to soft spoken too be militant. FYI your kind like to eat their young.
I love your imagery in this stamp demo. Rocking these demos <3
Well worth watching, a good "read." thank you, Beauvais Lyons
