I had this video edited for like 2 months, the export time was crazy though, so I delayed the hell out of it. I recommend watching @alanbecker's very own version of of the scene comparison, he put in far more work than I did! Alan's video: th-cam.com/video/i5IhxDoA6KU/w-d-xo.html

This is amazing
This is my take on the film. I hope it helps some in understanding the film. (Make sure you watch it first!) PART ONE: I’m sure I’ve made some mistakes, and possibly the plot has a couple of holes, which time travel paradox doesn’t? Let me know if you picked up on something I missed, or if you think that I got something wrong. I’m sure I have. Three assumptions: One: We are following the story of the fist guy, who I believe is the protagonist, and the fourth guy, who I believe is the antagonist. (First and fourth, not in the order they appear in the paradox, but in order of when we meet them.) Three: The guy is not experiencing the time loop in sequence. It is random. Two: The timeline is often different inside and outside the stall. That is, it might be 3:20, but when he opens a stall door, he might encounter someone from 3:30. While it is 3:30 to his other self in the stall (or when he emerges), it is still 3:20 for him in his timeline. @ 0:05 Title sequence: Stalled (written on the wall as graffiti and the janitor wipes it off. Great title sequence.) @ 0:24 Phone call: Foreshadowing: The time on his watch is 3:10, but his friend says it is 3:30. (This gives him opportunity to let us know he is wearing a precision time piece.) “His door closed and my door opened.” “My moment. My future.” “Stall them.” (Possibly more of a pun than a foreshadow, but it does foreshadow the importance of the stalls in the time paradox.) @1:05 He snaps his fingers at the janitor ordering towels from him and then rudely snatches them from the janitor’s hands, showing what a rude, disrespectful man he is. “If anybody screws this up I will kill them. I will literally shoot them in the head.” @1:40 Janitor tells him he’s a bad person and that one day he might get a look at himself and might not like what he sees. He gets an upset stomach and heads off to the first stall. The lights flicker indicating something is going to happen. We don’t know it yet, but we have entered the time paradox. @2:10 The janitor places a new roll of toilet paper on the counter next to Pete’s things and leaves. THE JANITOR: Some have suggested the janitor is his older self. I don’t think that’s correct. The janitor is pretty much just the foil to set the premise for us and perhaps a nod to Charles Dickens’ Spirits of Christmas, or other foils in earlier versions of time travel redemption stories. However, a detail I didn’t pick up myself, is that the Janitor’s name is Janus. GPT describes Janus as “an ancient Roman god associated with beginnings, transitions, and duality. He is unique among Roman deities because he has two faces, allowing him to look to the past and the future simultaneously. This makes Janus a symbol of change, passage, and time itself.” That seems an appropriate name for the foil for this plot. Some have asserted that if this was in fact his name that the director would have had a much clearer and deliberate shot of his name tag. However, I think the overall tone of this film is to be very subtle and let the viewer pick up on the clues without being spoon fed. If anything, the film disorients us. @ 2:25 we see Pete sitting in the first stall and looking at his watch. By his watch it is 3:15. From our perspective, this is the first guy, and from here on in, that’s how I will refer to him. I believe he is the protagonist. Although he is the first guy we encounter, there are at least two others who are already in the time loop. He sees feet at the stall door and the guy tries to open the door. He notices ‘Don’t Panic’ written on the toilet paper. (This is a nod to Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.) After telling the guy outside that he will be a while, the guy peers through the crack in the door. He hits the door and then he hears fighting outside. @3:30 “Do you want me to come out there?” He comes out and doesn’t see anyone in the restroom. He tries to leave but can’t. @4:05 he hears the first stall door lock. Even though he heard two guys fighting in the restroom, there was no one there when he came out. So, who just went into the stall? He goes to investigate. He tries the door. When he hears himself (second guy) saying that the stall is occupied he looks down at his feet and realizes that it was himself that was previously outside the stall. (What a great shot looking up at him looking down, and then a reverse shot looking down at his feet.) Things are happening as he has just experienced it from when he was in the stall, so he peers in to see if it is really himself in there. We are now introduced to the time loop. When he looks through the crack and his other self punches the door he reels back and falls into the third stall. @4:53 When the door of the third stall is flung open he sees himself (a third guy) and the guy in the stall punches him and a fight starts. This is the fight that we hear from the perspective of the ‘first guy’ when he was in the stall, but now he’s involved in the fight. During the fight, after his punch misses and he hits the panel, he is spun around by the third guy and pushed into the stall and the third guy closes the door. @ 5:15 The stall door is opened and he assumes it is the third guy, who just pushed him in there, but it’s not. It is actually the second guy who has just come out of the first stall and realized it is himself in the first stall and after peering into the stall. The guy in the first stall punches the door he reels back and pushes open the door of the third stall. Just as the first guy, who is now in the third stall, did. However, the first guy who is in the third stall thinks that it is the same guy (third guy) coming at him again so he hits him and the fight starts again but now with the second guy. The first guy now pushes the second guy into the third stall and shuts the door. The first guy opens the door and there is no one in there. While his timeline is still continuing, there is a jump in time from inside the stall. The guy in the stall shouts, “You want me to come out there?” @ 5:45 He hears the stall door latch open, but no one comes out. So, the first guy goes to look in the first stall and finds another version of himself shot dead in the stall. The dead guy’s watch is smashed and stopped at 3:30. This is a significant detail, as it is at 3:30 that he was shot and his watched was smashed and stopped. He is covered in blood and we assume that this is from being shot, or the fight that led to him being shot, but it isn’t. The blood on his head is significant later in identifying which guy this is. He probably assumes, and maybe we do to, that it was the guy that was just in the stall, but it wasn’t because we have now jumped ahead by about 15 minutes to 3:30. (The timeline for the guy who was in the stall during the fight was 3:15 and only a couple of minutes have past, but the dead guy’s watch is at 3:30) We are not meant to understand what is going on at this point, except that there is a time paradox and it’s getting darker and more confusing by the minute. We are experiencing how he must feel. At seeing himself shot dead and covered in blood, the first guy throws up and when he uses the toilet paper to wipe his mouth he notices there is more to the message than just “Don’t Panic!” @ 6:45 we see him read the message. It informs him (and us) that it is random, time jumps back and forth. Two significant points are that one door closes and another opens, and that he needs to kill the future. This doesn’t necessarily make sense to him, or to us, at this point. @ 7:05 While he’s reading the message a fourth guy appears out of the third stall, not wearing his jacket. This is a future version of himself (the fourth guy for us) and he starts talking to the first guy, initially assuming he has just previously met this version of himself, but quickly realizes he is not the one having things explained to him, but he is now the one doing the explaining. The first guy is repeating exactly what the fourth guy previously said, until he changes the dialogue when he refuses to go into the stall. This is an important part of dialogue. He explains that you go in and come out. Outside of the stalls he is experiencing a linear timeline. However, in the stalls he sometimes sees future or past events of the time paradox, and those that emerge from the stalls while co-existing with him are actually on a different timeline. This fourth guy, we find out is two minutes ahead of the first guy. So, by going into a stall and coming out he is jumping to different points in the timeline. The first guy uses this to his advantage later on. By refusing to go into the stall he has now created a fundamental shift in the paradox. Previously when he has encountered himself, the other self/selves jump to different points in the timeline, now the two of them are working together. However, while they are working together their timelines are slightly staggered by two minutes.
Super poor edit. Not that hard to sync up audio
