Car camping at Mount Fuji with Overland Japan 🇯🇵
Join me on an unforgettable adventure around Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko, where we explore the iconic view of Mt. Fuji depicted on the 1,000 yen bill. Our journey begins in Tokyo with a delightful seafood breakfast at the Tsukiji Market, before picking up our iconic green Suzuki Jimny equipped with a rooftop tent from Overland Campers Japan.
Our first stop is Fujiyoshida, where we stay the night at an Airbnb offering breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji right from the window. The next morning, we savor a hearty brunch of hoto soda noodles at a local restaurant, then immerse ourselves in the vibrant Fuji Shiba-sakura Festival.
Our adventure continues as we head to Lake Motosu, where we set up camp at the Koan Camping Ground. This well-equipped campsite, nestled on the shores of Lake Motosu, offers clean shower facilities, toilets, and a reception that doubles as a hotel with camping supplies for sale-all at a reasonable 2,700 yen per night. Here, we experience the same stunning view of Mt. Fuji that’s famously depicted on the 1,000 yen note.
We also make a stop at Lake Shoji for a day camp before wrapping up our journey and driving back to Tokyo to return the car. This adventure combines the beauty of Japan's natural landscapes with the thrill of rooftop camping in a rugged Suzuki Jimny.

Thanks 😊 we spent only 3 days in Kyoto. Most of the places of interest are not far away, so don't have to spend alot of time travelling around. I'll suggest 2-3 days in Kyoto

Hi, the option I chose was a room with open air bath. The room comes with outdoor onsen tub. The outdoor onsen pools was on the roof top which you can reserve to use privately at specific time at the reception
Underrated
their premium economy is honestly one of if not the best that i have ever flown in, with their huge infotainment screen. IMO even trumps Singapore Airlines 😂

Hi, I brought my tickets online via trip.com. the ticket will only be released 1month prior but you can still book before. I can't remember if there was an option to change language but the photos of the options were quite clear.

I was watching this video with my mother - we are both Chinese. We marvel at the technological sophistication and efficiency of the high speed rail network.... but the boisterous children. My goodness.... we would have a difficult time because we are both very calm and quiet people!

It's impressive how China changed, the bullet train didn't exist 20 years ago, I took a train from Beijing to Hanoï at that time, it was a 36 hours journey! A TH-cam engineering channel explained what infrastructure the Chinese built : th-cam.com/video/belm4kDAHgM/w-d-xo.html really interesting
G99 doesn't go through Changsha and Guangzhou any more. Did you take the video a few years ago? The new faster route goes through Ganzhou directly to Shenzhen

hey! its called yukimurasaki. i stayed there a month back, service was kinda whatever but its a small town you cant expect much. overall my stay was pretty awesome, the onsen plus the view was mesmerizing.

If high speed train is battery-powered and two aisles seat, that would be much better

If you factor in the check in and wait time, airplane probably close to the same time as high speed train but at a higher cost.

Bathing suits are allowed in private onsen. You may clarify with the reception otherwise:)
