Learn to use FREE tools to build your own Bloomberg Terminal
มุมมอง 9212 หลายเดือนก่อน
Let's face it, most of us don't have the kind of money necessary to afford a Bloomberg. But there are plenty of tools online that can help you get access to the same information. OBVIOUSLY, the experience isn't going to be the same. But you have to take what you can get when you're on a budget, right? Bloomberg Terminal - Intro to PORT: Portfolio & Risk Analytics
มุมมอง 16K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Believe it or not, I meant to post this video last summer. Better late than never. There are some things I missed, but overall most features of PORT are briefly covered. Hopefully this is helpful.
Market Thoughts - July 2022
มุมมอง 5642 ปีที่แล้ว
A somewhat unorganized and impromptu collection of thoughts related to the markets as we sit here in July, 2022. Keep your eye on the CPI print on July 13th. The Fed board will be looking closely at this statistic in addition to the other metrics they consider when they meet. Don't let fear govern your perception of the financial markets. Try to tune out the noise and avoid sensational financia...
MetaStock XENITH: The App Library (brief overview)
มุมมอง 1.6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
MetaStock XENITH is a retail version of Refinitiv Eikon. I was provided with some extra time with this platform by the folks at MetaStock and decided to take a quick look at the App Library in the platform. This will help you find useful apps and features in the platform that suit your retail investing style. Please note this is meant to be a brief and simple overview. It is not an in-depth loo...
OpenBB Terminal: Let's take a quick look at this free financial data platform
มุมมอง 28K2 ปีที่แล้ว
OpenBB Terminal, formerly known as the Gamestonk Terminal, has received considerable funding for the further development of their platform. The platform is open source and is freely available, and you can download it at: openbb.co. Here's the link to the VentureBeat news article I mentioned in the video: venturebeat.com/2022/03/30/openbb-wants-to-be-an-open-source-challenger-to-bloomberg-termin...
Scout, powered by Money.Net - Quick look and first impressions. A Bloomberg Terminal alternative?
มุมมอง 8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In today's video, we're taking a look at a web app by Money.net called Scout, designed for retail traders and investors. This is by no means an exhaustive look at the platform, but is more informal and is intended to give you a brief overview of what you would be signing up for. Is it a viable Bloomberg Terminal alternative? Probably not. Bloomberg just has way too much data going back decades....
Metastock Xenith (aka Refinitiv Eikon) - A quick & basic look at this Bloomberg Terminal alternative
มุมมอง 8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
I decided to change things up this time and take a look at Metastock Xenith, which is based on the Refinitiv Eikon financial data platform. I completely forgot to show off the main menu and lots of other things, but this introductory video will at very least give you an idea of what to expect with this platform, which is actually a pretty good value for the money. Keep in mind that access to th...
Bloomberg Terminal - A quick look at the backtest function using a simple Bollinger Band strategy
มุมมอง 8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Today let's take a look at the backtest function in the Bloomberg Terminal as it applies to a very rudimentary Bollinger Band Strategy. This video does not go too in-depth but should give you a feel for what to expect using this function. This function can be accessed using the BT command.
Bloomberg Terminal - Cryptocurrency/Bitcoin Monitor Quick Overview
มุมมอง 3.2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Believe it or not, as interest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general increases, Bloomberg has tried to meet the needs of users by displaying live quotes and some other functionality. Not terribly exciting, but hopefully it gets more robust over time! Access the function: CRYP Comments in this video have been disabled because the subject matter is attracting spam bots looking to scam people.
Why the Bloomberg Terminal matters and is worth the high cost
มุมมอง 28K4 ปีที่แล้ว
The Bloomberg Terminal (also known as Bloomberg Professional) is a finance professional's best friend. There are a few reasons I think it's worth the high price of admission; illustrated in this video. Is it meant for home use? No! You simply do not NEED Bloomberg if you're trading/researching privately. It is a tool of convenience for professionals who need quick access to data and a large net...
Bloomberg Terminal - Powerful Maps Data Overview
มุมมอง 12K4 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we take a look at the MAPS and MAP functions in Bloomberg. I will show you some of the data layers you can apply. This is not an exhaustive look at maps, but should give you an idea of what to expect.
Bloomberg Terminal - Quick Look: Excel Template Library
มุมมอง 5K4 ปีที่แล้ว
In today's video on Bloomberg Professional, we'll take a look at a few of the templates Bloomberg will provide you with which can help you better understand how to set up your own custom spreadsheets. This video is by means not an exhaustive look at Bloomberg/Excel integration. If you enjoy these videos, feel free to subscribe. I am open to ideas on future videos, too.
Quick Bloomberg Launchpad tutorial (Bloomberg Terminal - BLP)
มุมมอง 30K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a very basic introduction to Bloomberg Launchpad; what it is, how it works, and how to customize it accordingly to your personal preferences. If there is interest, we can take a deeper look, but the overall concept of BLP is covered here and should be enough to get you started on your own! Let me know what else you would like to see in the Bloomberg Terminal!

By the way im curious what the story is behind why you don’t use bloomberg anymore? I landed on this channel playing around with bloomberg in college but I ended up going into Software Engineering so just curious.
No longer at the job that paid for my subscription
Some strange bugs in there like quarterly balance sheet was missing Q4 at 5:48. I think the UI and direction is good, I just think the data quality needs to be rock solid. But yea I agree good deal for the price.
Great video, thanks for the showcase
is it worth the money is the question
I think if you’re serious about financial markets and need access to consolidated data, then yes.

If you get BBG to give you a Terminal, you gotta let me know you did that. 😅😅
I don't want or need one, but I'd love to do some content with some of their people to show us functions even I haven't heard of!
No Wayyyy, So glad your back Thank You for your videos. Please Upload more. These videos are Gold!
Thank you brother 😁🙏
Is there any certified training for it?
Training offered by Bloomberg
God i love your content ❤
Great insight!
SPLC is amazing
Thanks so much for sharing. I am an individual investor, but I really like those features. Bloomberg terminal is pricy, and I only need the portfolio and risk function. does anyone know any other software solution that is similar to this one?
YCharts is a lot cheaper but way less functionality. Works well for portfolio tracking and risk/performance calculations though if thats all you need.
I am having a session at Uni Bloomberg terminal. This really helps. I did not want to be too lost in it or EVERYTHING to learn. Thank you!!!
You’re welcome. ☺️
Interested to know how an investment banker would use Bloomberg terminal for underwriting process of an IPO. Also, throw some light on Bloomberg web terminal.
Bro this is NUTS. Day trading really gets put into perspective when you realize this exists
Bus or Honda civic, you still get to work.
It is really helpful thanks
Great video! Thanks so much, it is really appreciated

will you make more video anytime soon?

Perfect tool
If you had to choose one, which do you prefer. Bloomberg is more expensive but seems to have more data while this is cheaper and seems easy to use. If you are a retail investor do you think these platforms can help you gain advantage in trading?
No. Overkill for retail investor unless you’re managing a multimillion dollar portfolio.
Interesting that analysts had negative views on Tesla stock on May 4th 2020. It's 3 years later and it grew near 550%!
Well they cant see whats happening in the future
Woah!!
Thanks for the video! ❤
Amazing!!
Great Video, Thanks!
Thanks for the great video
would love to see more of eikon - given its something that can be used by retail traders
I'd probably play with this all day, but for 25k or 20k not worth it for me.. can't even afford it to be honest.. sticking to TOS.. has majority of that stuff .
What is tos and how much € cost
Thank you for these terrific videos. Would love to see one where you start an excel spreadsheet and pull in bloomberg data on your own (i.e. Not a template) using the BDP functions. Thank you again. Well done.
