Does changing the name of an LLC, by doing a DBA, change anything legally? As far as liability protection, taxes, etc, or would it just simply be a name change? For example, if John Smith electronics LLC changes their name to Smitty electronics?

For example, my company is called John Smith Electronics LLC and I use trademark "Smitties" to sell electronic products, and I use trademark "ThePoolMan" for pool services, but in both cases the customer will receive an invoice from John Smith Electronics LLC, mentioning "Smitties is a trademark of JME LLC" and/or "ThePoolMan is a trademark of JME LLC". This way it makes sense to the customer and it allows to operate different websites, social media, and so on, offering totally different products or services. In the end, most businesses only want to separate the products or services for clarity or to avoid confusion for the customer.

So I watched your older videos from five years ago about ceased and desist letters and at the end of your video when I talked about when you should send one you said “really as soon as possible” but they waited till the very last moment to send their letter and so my question is if they wait till last moment to send their letter, is that still binding?

3:34 I wish you would talk about how Activision handles their cease and assist letters so I can get a better understanding. I hear all these TH-camrs talk and rants about Activision and gaming companies today. None of them know enough to give a smart answer and it leaves me angry and confused. They really aren’t any TH-cam channels that are also attorneys that cover gaming.

What is solicitation? This word has so many different meanings depending on what state you live in. Also, are independent contractors subject to these clauses? I would think they are violations of the business commerce code, an attempt by the contractor to hinder trade, especially if they are overly restrictive or broad.
