Honest, high-quality reviews of the world's best hotels & resorts.
To me, hotels are the culmination of all things travel: hospitality, experiences, people, cuisine, culture, nature, history. They are your temporary home when you are in a foreign land.
My passion is to find the 'temporary homes' that are the very best around the globe; the places that make you feel like you would make that home permanent if you could.
My mission is to celebrate the spaces and brands that align with that sense of place, and criticize those that present false versions of it or fall short in passion or effort.
My hope is to share my findings with as many of you as possible.

Inside Ritz-Carlton Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico’s Top Hotel

Ritz-Carlton Reserves are some of the highest end resorts in the world... but Dorado Beach tops the list for price per night in a standard room. I stayed in a private pool suite to see if it was really worth it. Revered as the best hotel in Puerto Rico, the property has three main restaurants, a main pool, cold plunges, and a world-class epic Spa Botanico. Would you splurge and stay here? 🤔 0:0...

Never stay in a hotel in Hawaii... There's so many great AirBnB
Would love to see your opinions on all inclusive resorts (xcaret, sandals, moon palace, etc)
Great idea, adding ‘Value’ to the It Factor score in 2025 which would be a big factor for all inclusive
Was none of the food Puerto Rican at all but it did look good and no coffee is not part of our culture tea is
Interesting, what kind of tea?
The sound at night are coquis, not cricket buddy. Same with the chocolate.
Those aren't crickets, colonizer. Those are Coqui
Great video!!!❤
Not transparent if you don’t say the price
Prices fluctuate based on season, year, and occupancy! I’ll be adding a ‘Value’ metric in the It-Factor segment in 2025 ❤️
Great review. Love the Cosmo. New subscriber ❤
Thank you! More Las Vegas hotels on the way
@ looking forward to seeing more reviews, and what new things will be happening in Vegas in 2025!!! 🎆

You obviously haven't been outside the USA
This video is a recap of the top hotels I’ve reviewed on this channel in 2024! Not of all time/globally
I can’t wait for there 2025 reviews holy cow
Couldn’t do it without my amazing DP
I’m really excited I found your channel!! You’ve definitely got the best hotel content I’ve encountered. I’m looking forward to another great year. Keep up the good work!
You've been here since it started! Thankful to have you, so much more to come
this is so cool dude! the edit, the sound, the quality. Makes these hotels accessible to all of us. keep it up!
Means a lot, thank you!
awesome video! This is so intriguing as I am a hotel connoisseur😁
Great to hear, happy New Year!
Absolutely unbelievable hotels. It’s my lifelong dream to stay at even a single one of these!
Such an honor to share them with you through this channel
Ryan, your filming and narration are very well done. Charming and professional. We stay at the Halekulani for at least two weeks , sometimes longer, every year for the past ten years. Prior to that we’ve stayed at most of the other major Waikiki hotels and major resorts on the Big island, Maui and Kauai for the past 28 years. Compared to any other Waikiki or Oahu resort/hotel the Halekulani far surpasses them all. I think your ratings of Hale are a bit low. ( In our humble opinion ). The service, ambiance and overall experience of the Hale is 5 star. Interesting that our only criticism lately has been slow ( or in your case, lack of) pool side service, which sadly you experienced. The Halekulani closed for a year during the pandemic and all rooms and public area were redecorated and freshened. Realize that individual experiences are so subjective. Good luck with your channel! Mahalo 👍
Great to know about other Hawaiian islands - what did you think of La Mer? In my opinion one of the best hotel dining of the year
@ Yes you’re correct. Love La Mer. Had our wedding night dinner there in fact. We don’t eat there every visit. But, we always go up and have a cocktail at L’Aperitf cocktail bar even if we don’t have dinner there after. We of course, dine at Orchids for breakfast, lunch or dinner. And HWAK for lunch, dinner or just cocktails and pupus. We’re not buffet fans, so never do the breakfast buffet at HWAK.
Wow your wedding night dinner at La Mer! Well, hope the review did it justice. Thank you for watching
Hello! I really like the quality of your videos and your honesty. Hopefully this level of scrutiny can push the industry forward. Good luck with your channel!
If these reviews improve even one person’s experience at these hotels, it will have been worth it. Thank you!
The room is definitely a Motel 6 but with HEAFTY price tag.
If they invested even 1/10 of the ambiance into the rooms, it would be worth it!
Hey Ryan, Appreciate the video. I found it very odd that Aulani didn't even give you a service for the room, not even a small surprise when you call the front desk. I've watched this video th-cam.com/video/9_YiC9H1MNA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1aeC8XMm7wZSup3m&t=590 @ 9:50 They said that Aulani did something for their honeymoon for their welcome -Disney Aulani Shortbread -A signed letter by Mickey and Minnie w/photo -EARS! TOWEL SHAPED EARS! While not animals... they could have suggested something like that The service may vary maybe?
Good to know it’s not 100% of the time! Mickey ears definitely would have raised the score a point or two
Definitely not worth the price
Another great review. I hope you were able to see the hula and music presentation at House without a Key - wonderful way to spend the evening. The gym is a bit odd but given all the pastries and rich meals I suspect both of you were in the gym often. The bed was a bit odd...images of slipping inbetween the two parts came to mind. Very surprised at the poolside lack of service. I suspect you recieved a follow up from management once they saw this review. Thanks again for the review and looking forward to others.
Right! Have a couple hotels from Seoul coming up with incredible beds/gyms you’ll have to let me know what you think
This channel will grow super fast, mark my words. Another great video @ryan
I’m definitely obsessed with it. Thank you for watching along
Ok, this one scared the shizza out of me. LOL!
It was just as scary filming it! 😂
Top notch work @ryan
Appreciate you
how do you not get millions of views no one does it like you
Thank you - what’s your favorite hotel I’ve reviewed?
wowww
Ryan, I was waiting for you to review the beach 😂
Funnily enough the beach isn’t actually owned by the hotel! You do get access when you stay, but not technically hotel property
@@ryanwalkerT5was it nice though?
One of the best in Puerto Rico! Not overly crowded as well.
What about Disney princesses and other character meetings? That’s all my little girl cares about.
Great question - there are characters around the resort, usually with long lines. I saw Moana, Stitch, Duffy, Minnie
1,900 a night? jesus that place is for people that make 80,000 a week or what? 😂
$1.32 every single minute 🤯
ryan! can u do the grand floridian at disney world orlando?
June 2025! ✨
They aren't called crickets or frogs lol they are called Coqui and native to the island. Quick Google search will tell you all you need to know on coquis
I always wonder do they charge for the services? Maybe not towel animals but they for sure charged for the flowers right?
Yes, most Service Tests have a price I pay on check out - sometimes it isn’t quoted until we leave
Great stuff bro. Could see you hosting a travel show one day. The service test is a great idea and the narrative/format/standards of your reviews are awesome
Made my day thank you, leaning in for 2025 so many more incredible hotels coming
Love this review! Hoping to visit Hawaii in 2026!
You should - after this review would you stay at Halekulani?
Very informative video! Makes me want to stay there!
Give it a try! If you liked this one, you’ll enjoy the Ritz-Carlton Dorado Beach Reserve in Puerto Rico as well
Thank you for your informative reviews. I have at read every one and they are very helpful in determining my future travel plans
Glad you find them helpful!
Incredible! Please keep it going, these are the best reviews I’ve ever seen. I’m sure this channel is destined to blow up!
So many more coming your way, thank you for this means a lot
Your coffee cup has the sticker on it, that is at least -2p
😂
Dude these videos are just so well done. I really got a sense for this hotel. Keep em coming!
Thank you, I have a great team!!
These videos are great. Keep making videos and you’ll see a big growth in your channel.
I definitely will! Thank you
Come to Bali & review their hotels/villas
2025!! Any specifics you like?
@@ryanwalkerT5 well there's a lot. But in Bali I would suggest Apurva Kempinski they have underwater restaurant. Four Seasons, the one at Ubud they have cool floating pond. Bali is always overrated & overtourism. If you wanna escape from mainstream tourist destination but still near Bali you could visit NIHI Sumba, you can ride native horses in the beach, so Beautiful. Or Ayana Komodo resort, it's located in Komodo National Park where the Komodo Dragons live in their habitat If you like watching MotoGP with beach view you can try Pullman Mandalika, Lombok island. Amanjiwo, with a view of the largest ancient Buddhist Temple on Earth also a UNESCO heritage, Borobudur. It's so awakening. If you are planning to explore more of the country you can travel far more west to North Sumatera. Lake Toba is our Jewel. You can stay in Taman Simalem resort with a great view of caldera Toba (ancient supervolcano that turn into a enormous lake). Also there is Mikie Holiday Resort, they have dedicated disney-knock-off-local themepark, but It's still cool tho. While in North Sumatera dont forget to experience our pristine rainforest in Tangkahan ecotourism. You can see elephants, orangutans, tigers, rhino, in their natural habitat. Rainforest safari!
Genuinely an incredible list. I was planning on reviewing Four Seasons Ubud and Alan of course, but the others look spectacular. When you see those reviews go live next year, it will be because of this comment!
