On note 16 it’s said who would put these artifacts in the cave and vanish without a trace but I have a theory that the obelisk are like a tree because in the caves there’s always a “root” or some sort of thing lining the walls that looked similar to the obelisk and the obelisk are alive so maybe the obelisk's “roots” plant the artifacts that also explains why they respawn
