🦉 Owls, with their enigmatic gaze and silent flight, have long captivated us. Their unique features, such as their large, forward-facing eyes, distinctive ear tufts, and soft, downy feathers, offer a wealth of visual possibilities for artists to explore.
In this mixed media art class, you'll learn how to transform a simple piece of paper into a captivating masterpiece. We'll guide you through every step of the process, from creating a vibrant autumn background with acrylic paints to layering various paper textures for added depth and dimension.
🦉 You will need: 🦉
🦉 Thicker Paper - I used 9in x 12in mixed media paper
🦉 Don't have that? Cardstock, watercolor paper, or canvas is also great. Just need it to be thicker than regular paper
🦉 Acrylic paint - Blue, white, black (or any other color you choose for the background)
🦉 Brushes - Round #6 & #2 or similar
🦉 Old gift card, hotel card key, small squeegee, or cardboard scrap (for scraping the paint across paper)
🦉 Scissors
🦉 Water & napkins
🦉 Blue painters tape (not masking tape)
🦉 Pencil & eraser
🦉 Glue (or Modpodge)
🦉 Sharpie marker (or other permanent marker)
🦉 Tissue paper - Fall colors, like oranges, yellows, reds, etc (Don't have that? We can make some with coffee filters or napkins + paint)
🦉 Scrapbooking paper - different colors! different patterns! shiny papers! (
Don't have that? Can use old artworks that you don't care for & cut them up)
🦉 Bring extra papers that we will paint in class using acrylic paints
🦉 Unwanted books or magazines
🦉 Optional - something to cover your work surface
Thank you Hannah Garrison, Alexa Jett, and of course, all our special art friends!

There was mention of that what might look like a rash in the groin area could be cancer. That it should be looked at by a dermatologist and maybe biopsied. What was that condition called???? ..............I'm reviewing the audio it's at 1:31 It's call Extramammary Paget's Disease.
Not sure if this would help anybody but here goes. I was in severe pain through the summer along with other issues. Doctors want to put me on medication / poison.. had severe Muscle and nerve pain. Pretty much overdosing on over the counter Tylenol ibuprofen. Thankfully I was diagnosed correctly. Ended up having Lyme disease. Most people that have lime are misdiagnosed or undiagnosed. People are being misdiagnosed with lupus MS fibromyalgia rheumatoid arthritis thyroid disease. Among others. Some people are even put on antidepressants thinking it's all in their head. If you get tested too early for Lyme disease you will test negative more than likely. And then they never retest. I was tested between three and four months. I ended up taking a antibiotic called doxycycline. Another thing to look out for is these bacteria can make a substance called biofilm. Basically makes them invisible from antibiotics. There are certain over the counter supplements that can get inside the biofilm and kill the bacteria. Which I took. At this point hoping for the best
wonderful class. wonderful teacher Thank you

Hi. Is Peter Kafka ok? I haven’t seen him in a while.
I love watching you guys learned a lot from you all. I'm from wrexham in Wales 🏴 UK. My husband has recurring prostate cancer psa 20 and lymph node invasion on one side but he's refused treatment. God bless you all. Xx
This may surprise you, but I am "half from Llandudno", Wendy! Feel free to drop me a line at rd@ancan.org. Let's speak about your hubby... and I'd be happy to chat with him directly.
Hi that's great to hear you have welsh blood in you. My hubby doesant know that I get in touch with people for support. He's determined not to have treatment can't cope with side effects of treatments just wants quality of life plus he has heart problems. Iv spoken to prostate cancer uk and they support me and told me I have to respect is decision. By the way I have a sister in Bristol new Hampshire iv been ther twice and to Boston and vermont it's beautiful and lovely people
Sound?
The audio of this recording seems to be working fine.
Wish I knew this before, until recently I hadn't realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's a relief! Although what he previously suggested was pretty good, it was a real pain to follow... I just go'ogled the latest by Mario Volpstein, it's so much easier and potent now!
100% agree, I just realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's crazy! Although what he previously talked about was pretty decent, it was difficult to follow, I just go'ogled the latest by Mario Volpstein, it's so much simpler and potent now!

Has anyone had issues with low platelets count under 50,000 caused by pluvicto , that now won’t stabilize. Went up with platelet transfusion, but then continues to decrease again.
Ralph died of surgery to repair damage to the rectal wall.....probably caused by the radiation to his prostate. What a shame.
Wow. He likely would have added more years without any treatment.
Treatment regret???? Better described as treatment OUTRAGE after being treated like a concentration camp inmate by the CROSS CANCER INSTITUTE. No shared decision, no treatment options discussed Coerced, deceived, intimidated extorted into one shot of ADT CASTRATION ELIGARD that was described as a six month shot but it has left me partially castrated with low T even two years later, and I'm denied TRT. NO follow up for the horrific quality of life destroying ADT side effects. No help dealing with gynecomastia
Rick, the urologist is the one who usually puts the space oar in
Great work. Thank you for doing this for everyone with advanced prostate cancer.
Thanks guys for very interesting summary of ASCO 24. Regarding PFS vs. OS, agree completely that OS is murky, since in clinical trialsm there doesn't seem to be a good way of segregating patients who progressed by subsequent treatment, since thee are many therapies out there.
I never knew how complex PCa is. This is an eye opener for me. Much respect and hope to this magnificently brave group. Long may you run.

Hi all is there someone I can talk to? Struggling bad! Thanks
This is awesome! Thanks for your support for those with advanced prostate cancer. ❤
Thank you for your kind words.... consider joining us live, unless you're on the Isle of Man!
Thank you for this interesting discussion. My own story after 7 years from first diagnosis to now focusing on QoL with exercise and an otherwise healthy lifestyle convinces me at now age 75 that it is better to let my body deal with the cancer and not angst over PSA numbers and complications from ADT.
Can I ask. Was you pc 3+3, GG1. I’m confused by Dr. Klotz presentation. Was it only GG1 that seems to have no metastatic disease, or were there also GG2.
This video is linked to an older dated one not the 5/6 one!
Sadly we do not have a 5/6 one, due to an error on GoTo's part. So sorry - normal service resumed next week.

YEAH!!!!!! for the fourth Tuesday at 1:30 pm will be 2:30 pm my time Count me in!!
Such a shame an Aussie can't join in. For me this is the best information outside of the doctors. We don't have anything similar here.
Oh wowwww looks like I missed the live event , I was thrown off because Monday was a holiday and I mistook it for Sunday . Will definitely be apart of the live next Monday
The date is wrong February 2024
Great stuff. Any updates?
I was diagnosed with gleason score 6 1/25 cores the last 3year my psa 2.14 the problem i found its frequent urination this is related with prostate cancer?
You guys do such a good job! Love all the paintings!!!!
Excellent presentation. However, it still pisses me off to hear Dr. Shultz claim Lupron type ADT CASTRATION is reversible. The truth that every patient must be told is that testosterone recovery is undetermined, that up to twenty percent of older men will NEVER RECOVER their testosterone above castrate level, and, after 18 months on ADT, only 25 percent of men will recover their testosterone levels after a median time of five years. We are being deceived about Leuoprolide type ADT CASTRATION, and without full disclosure, there can be no FREE AND FULLY INFORMED CONSENT. ...THE coerced, deceived, and extorted administration of these toxins without consent is CRIMINAL ASSAULT CAUSING GREIVOIS BODILY HARM.
How do you join? Thanks
Just had MRI PI-Rads 5 now facing Biopsy lies lies lies so far, I know what’s coming next but they keep saying we can’t discuss the next step until we get over the one in front of us “US “ it’s me in the chair alone. My treatment was delayed for three years due to the Covid Scam now I’m toast.
Not sure
Hello, my husband has a Stage IV prostate cancer diagnosis; he is having a lot of anxiety. We remember in one episode, Peter had recommended an anti anxiety medicine that seemed to be working for both he and his wife. Could you share the name of that med? I’m encouraging my husband to participate in the group! You all have been so helpful in his journey. Thank you for sharing your lives. 0:13
Hi! Thank you to everyone for sharing … I learn so much from your conversations. Kim, would love the link to the Dr Rubin TH-cam or webinar you mentioned … where I believe you said Dr Rubin and her partner are relaxed and having a conversation? I reside in Phx, received RRMS Dx in 2021 at 65, am under the care of a Mayo neurologist + started extended interval dose Tysabri 6/2022. Would love to connect w/ … is it Jerry + Mike who under the care of Dr Carter at Mayo AZ? Again, thank you so much for openly sharing insights, wisdom + experiences … so helpful to all those who watch!
3 - 6 months to get the water works under control and 6-24 months to get the wife workout kind of back up to speed. And that's if you have successful surgery outcome. I don't think anyone who's healthy going into this could comprehend it, wouldn't matter what anyone said.
I do I join
Kim is an awesome moderator! thank you
Before I retired I was a counselling therapist for many years. I was keenly aware that decisions about one's life should be made by the one who has to live with the consequences. When I was diagnosed; all manner of things were actively suggested and in an overly optimistic way. Of the many drs I saw only one was open and realistic about the harms likely from treatment. I decided against all advice to refuse treatment. Because for me personally quality of life is much more important than length of life. My Doctors had the opposite priorities and they also did not need to live with the consequences. They had successful well paid careers selling something I did not want. Its been five years and my cancer has grown. My PSA is 83. But I've had five great years enjoying my life. I still have no symptoms. Who knows; I might still have years to enjoy. But if I die today, I still believe I made the best choice. I've already won my bet. The reason we are having this conversation is that often the so-called treatments offered are worse than the disease.
There is a confusing array of alternatives and experiences. I am 80 years old, had proton therapy 16 years ago which was successful. My PSA recently has climbed and a PSMA scan shows some cancer in the seminal vesicles. No other bone, hip, back, or organ issues. I like my life and am not interested in the side effects of all the alternatives. I have mentally refused all treatments. I like my 8 hours of pure sleep, tasteful coffee in the morning, and no mood swings. My doctor (also) encourages me to enjoy my life and to the page to the next chapter.
My PSA of 6.5 was discovered by accident back in 2017, it’s now 6 years on and PSA is 10.7 no symptoms of any kind just had MRI PI-RADS 5 now they want Biopsy and possible Radical Prostatectomy. I think the biopsy alone will trigger something 🤷🏼♂️ I’m 73.
Thanks for your story. Didn’t realize how much treatment regret I had until I made a list of everything that went wrong with my prior treatment, or didn’t match my expectations. Quite a different journey this time around.
Not to mention, they have far less invasive treatments, like HIFU Tulsa cryotherapy for those eligible. It's a great alternative one percent risk of erectile dysfunction or incontinence, but insurance doesn't pay for it. You've had accumulate some wealth on your own to do it, and typically have to travel and in a rough economy a lot of people don't have the money even in their 50s and 60s to drop 25 or 30 K.
@aliterogasolini6401 I agree hundred percent that the biopsy WILL trigger something. It's common sense. They go in there sticking the thing with twelve or more needles. What they don't think NOTHIN' gonna happen ,??!!
Hi Carmen- thx for sharing- so very sad to hear this. Glad to hear you have been safe🙏
How do I get on this zoom
My husband has a lesion 1.9 mm lesion on his prostate, I pray that they can find a way to treat that tiny area instead of removing the whole prostate, or radiation without making him impotent, incontinent etc. There has to be a way to preserve dignity to our men with the current treatments.
My grand daughter takes cannabis gummies for her insomnia. No after drug side affects as if taken nothing after an hour she’s in snooze ville. Thanks for all your sharing I’m an avid viewer 🙏🏼💕✌🏻🕊️
