As a non professional, i disagree...i think it gets old when a performer becomes monolithic and stuck in a particular vocal technique that may have brought them to prominence like minnie ripperton or niecey williams...some artists masterfully strike a balance between just enough and TOO much like whitney or to some extent mariah carey

I will definitely follow you on You Tube. I learned something today. I give her a 9 for emotional reaction. Here's why. I bet over the last wek I have watched this a dozen times. That is an eootionally based physical reaction. Additonally, I have watched other songs that she has done. She has earned a fan here. I want to hear more of her. A 1 for surprize. I disagree, but will give her a 6. After the initial surprize, I thought there was a mismatch between her and the other competitors, so that took away surprize points. She's a pro from the beginning and we all knew that. So then I had her at about a 3. In the son'g she showed temendous emotional and voice fluctuations, and she also raised her octave range, that I was not expecting 2/3 through and at the end. Blew us all away. I was also surprized by her lower voice early on to begin and then at the end her almost whisper high pitch. I thought you'd be ower on repeatability. I defer to your rating on that. I would give her a 5 couse who could repear that. On AGT she sounded like Mariah Carey at one point.

The song is mainly about a horrible experience she endured, when her partner at the time, whom she loved truly and trusted, spiked her drink at a bar for malignant intentions. So at the beginning of the video, you see someone giving Raye a drink that looks like milk which symbolizes an innocent drink and then if you look closely the drink has a thin layer of pink drink underneath the milk which symbolizes the poison or the drug in this occasion, and she drinks it confidently because she trusts the person who gave her, and then suddenly she starts hallucinating and her vision becomes blurry which is when the drug kicks in and she starts to realize that her drink has been spiked. I agree. However, looking now back at her performances for The Voice back in 2012 she has raised her game in voice control and entertainment. Skills and talent 10/10. Surprise and Emotion 8/10 but getting better and better. Smash it Loren. You got this!

Yup ur exactly right...Loren has an amazing voice but peoplejust feel not entertained by her performance..Lots of covers of her Never enough has lots of views more than her..One is Morissette Amon from the Philippines..But this girl is also soo underrated internationally..To think she is PHENOMINAL!!!She has the voice of all the greatest divas in the world..And to think she has one of the best emotion whenever she performs...Hope she will become big in thr music industry...

Never heard of this guy but I think the whole world has heard of Lauren .

She has been on stage with Bocelli, Foster etc. sings the original Never Enough in the movie and finishes 13th on The Voice. Something wrong there. Yet a little Filipina takes Never Enough and makes it her own. Watch out for Morissette Amon.

There’s no doubt in my mind that there’s much more to Loren Allred than people know about! With an already published net worth of some $5 million, performing with David Foster, Michael Buble, “directing “/ performing the most popular song ever from the Greatest Showman (she would need someone to help her get that gig), etc. ; there’s more to her than she lets on…….and good for her for doing things her way! When Simon Cowell is as nice to someone as he was to Loren on BGT, you have to realize they are not “strangers “…….Cowell knew about her long before her appearance! But whatever……..hope she continues to do well and keeps it all together!

I first saw her singing in concerts with David Foster and thought she was great. I would have thought with David's connection she'd have made it big.

Seems to me that if you have a nice voice and are a skillful singer, you would be by all measures entertaining - e.g.Dimash Kudaibergen, Morisettee Amon, Lea Salonga, Carrie Underwood, etc. I think the better keys are exposure and having a fan base. After BGT, Loren has now both..

You should see her TH-cam channel, performing this same song on PBS with David Foster 2 yrs ago. It sounds even better because she didn't have to play-act like she's some scared little rabbit onstage. LOL Or how about her video of her singing live on stage right next to Bocelli? Everyone should ask themselves why as a professional singer did she fly all the way to the UK to steal some local's dreams? She competed on The Voice USA 9 yrs ago on Adam's team. That's where she got her start...and she wasn't scared of any major stages she's been on.
