In 2006 the Wheelchair Dance Sport Association (UK) was established. Changing its name to Para Dance UK in 2017.
Para Dance UK’s sole remit is the relief of disabled people by the provision of recreational and sporting facilities in the form of Para Dance Sport and Inclusive Dance in all its forms. We provide opportunities for the community to access dance and dancesport in an inclusive environment and to perform and compete. We have four strands:

• Community (providing bespoke workshops/programmes in social care, healthcare, education and community care settings);
• Learning (providing dance classes and courses where people can learn for fun, to perform, teach or compete)
• Professional (creating performance works to showcase or athletic development to compete for Team GB
• Voice national governing body for dancesport in the UK (setting and enforcing rules in the UK as given by IPC and represent the UK internationally within the Para Dancesport community.
