    I think the sport should arrange it this way: 3 yearolds should be in 2 hands in a snaffle or bosal until "the nrha futurity" in which it should be the earliest event a reining horse is shown 1 handed. 4 yearolds should be 1 handed futurity horses, and ineligible for derbys, making the 4 yearold futuritys a single event. I think aged event derbys should be 5 through 10, however; "the nrha derby" i belive should be an all aged event that the only requirement is that the horse has won a check in the same level it's competing at during it's career. Meaning if it the horse has won an open check in the l1 l2 l3, but not the l4, then it would be ineligible for the l4, but good for the l1 l2 l3. It would only need to be weekend club show check to qualify. The idea you have for another one rider one event i believe should be a 4 yearold event at "the nrha futurity." It could be a one round qualifier event, with it's finals also run on sat at "the nrha futurity." On sat finals day start the l1 l2 l3 3 yearold futurity ealier in the day. At the end of that class swap judge teams and have a "4 yearold all-star class" where there is only one rider with one horse teams allowed in it, and it's a l4 open only event. Put 20 to 30 teams in it to crown a best open 4 yearold of the year. These changes would be profitable to the weekend shows, and have a great trickle down effect. The 4 yearold event being a one rider/ one horse team only event would creat a tossup (a huge trickle down effect to lower ranked trainers would come from this) that could create great reality tv drama around it, also. Which i believe coming up with a couple more reality tv shows based around the sport is the key to exploding the sport into mainstream sports. We simply need to look at what the ufc did with the ultimate fighter series, and what Vince McMahon did in the late 70s early 80s to have a model of what could be, and that is to have a made for tv product ready, as apposed to waiting for everyone to want to see what we're doing unedited for weak attention spans.

    Loved the show and subscribed. However, Brian Bell and Crystallized Whiskey also won the Florida futurity as well this year. So she won the Florida futurity, the Congress futurity and the NRHA futurity. So cool that she won 3 Futuritys as a 3 year old. She’s the highest money earning 3 year old in NRHA history, the 3rd highest money earning mare in NRHA history regardless of age and the 12th highest money earning horse ever in the NRHA. And she’s only 3. Absolutely incredible

    In the past you guys have been talking about spreads in scores. Looking at the same video, you 2 have a spread of 1.5 points between you on the Borges run. I feel if judges use the scale, there will be spreads, throw in geographical different point of view between the 5 chairs and the chance of there being a spread is even bigger. I myself have no issues with spreads as long as each judge can be accountable for why they mark a certain maneuver that way based on the NRHA rulebook and A General. Just my opinion

    • @cowboyofficeshow
      @cowboyofficeshow ปีที่แล้ว

      Jan you are correct, we have identified normal point spreads in 7 M.E patterns which is 1.5 points and 8 M.E. patterns carries 2 points. It is educational to look at why point spreads occur when they are 2.5 points and more. The 5 judge system is the most accurate with the total view of all 5 judges.

    yes yes and yes lol opinion that is the word we want out !! we are all on the same page!! I have ben roofing for 30plus years and a opinion starts and stops and picking a color because I've ben doing it long enough to show you why and why not with .. install to shingles , metal or flat roofs. my point is I think we can get here with the same kind of studying to score reining at first I didn't think this was possible but I didn't give up and I'm starting to see a way lets start with something simple yes %100 we need leve 1,2,3,4 judges and green Reiner judges I'm just learning and I showed in green and took me 4hrs to figure out why they scored me a 0 after I figured out why I read the rules to them and they changed it but I am just studding for level 4 so I really don't care but some people it's life and death lol the main reason I don't want a trainers option is because I study and even that is not consistent one trainer thinks he should score higher another thinks they scored to high but they will take it lol so here we are and I have some questions and maybe some answers bear with me can the level 1,2,3,4, judges train and show a 3yr old horse and get a score ? because if they can't how do they understand level of difficulty and willingly guided (I'm just starting to understand this) ok fine if they can't is there any input from top trainers on what. why, and how they under stand this better than anyone !!! me as a person studding and watching 100s of hours trying to really understand this at first I was looking at it wrong because I'm really starting to understand a horses brain I can really understand level of difficulty and willingly guided and at first I was really frustrated because I'm trying to train and show my horse at the highest level of difficulty and I'm not seeing the scores make sense so I Finley was able to look at it differently and In a way I'm happy because the way they are scoring is easier to do than the way I was thinking! I would really like to see a lot higher expectation at the level 4 ill give you just one no-brainer example why can you plus a circle if they walk 2 or 3 steps for the lead these trainers can do that on horses that have never ben road I'm not even vary good and I can lope from a stand still left or right.... no reword for the risk ???? I'm seeing lead changes not much different than what they can do on horses that have 15 rides im studying example my trainer was showing me a 2yr old with about 15 rides I said lets see a flying lead change ( he is at the top of trainers ) he comes through the middle hits the change like he's showing a horse boom I yell sold lol yes he is that good but I'm not seeing much difference in the level 4 because no reword for the risk they are just not doing it the hard way they are doing it the guaranteed way I really don't have enough understanding to get to deep into this I could drowned lol a student can't really get an A without the right teacher (I have the best horse trainer in the world that's not a problem) the reason scoring is so close is because its to easy I want to do this the hardest way possible I'm asking you to step up the game before I even get there lol I would love to watch some runs with you and show you what I'm thinking and really understand this ? I'm a slow learner because I have to understand everything the reword comes after all the work is done! I'm still working and I'm starting to get close so that's why I'm here I would really like to get involved more because I can see a way I really don't even like to think about how hard this is to do (judging) I have to watch runs over and over to see things they get one chance and I really appreciate that skill level ....you think it so easy you do it lol no I don't think its easy I think its able to be done with a hold bunch of work and then some more work and then when your to tired to do any more keep going then It will be done I'm not a guy that says to do something I'm not willing to do and I'm willing to help any way I can I'm not even sure I have enough understanding for this comment but i do want to understand ok I'm going to watch another one of your videos for more understanding thank you (I roof houses so don't critique my writing I know how bad it is :)

    I have ben trying to figure out scoring and I really think there is a way to score without a option but I study things at a different level and I %100 can't find consistency in the scoring to learn the difference in a plus 1/2 to a 1 1/2 to understand what I need to do to get a plus 1 1/2 is this information some where that I can study and learn ? ( I see no reason to score on a opinion when it can be done with facts! this would take 100s of hours to break down and put in place not simple but %100 could be done ) I really appreciate the Work it took just to get here !!! next level of understanding !!! comes like this (if you don't have understanding pray for it and it will be given to you) GOD SAID :) I would like to be able have someone show me a break down of the scoring so I know exactly what the horse need to do to get a plus 1 1/2 on each ?? where is this information ? with all do respect I'm not interested in a trainers opinion . this comment is to move the sport forward thank you !!!
