1929 cocobolo is my favorite, but it looks so classy on many of your designs
About Ultem… you say it is tough? That it is NOT likely to break when you drop it? I beg to differ! I was surprised that you would say, specifically, that it is tough, because that is NOT my experience! I put Ultem scales on one of my Para 3s, and the first and only time I ever dropped that knife, less than 3’ onto a hardwood floor, one of my scales cracked across the standoff screw (I was careful not to over-tighten any of the screws)! Ultem is the most fragile handle material I have known! I thought it was beautiful, but now I wouldn’t have it on any knife I own…
Let me just say, in advance, that there can be no ideal knife handle material, so the question, “what is the best handle material,” is a stupid one! Clearly, each handle material benefits some circumstances more than others. I like copper for its beautiful color, however, it is also heavy (by an ounce or two per knife), and cold in the hand, in cold weather. G-10 is remarkably tough, and warm in the hand, but it’s not excessively beautiful! Titanium is almost perfect, but it is cold-looking, cold in the hand, and it scratches. Aluminum is light, but it scratches much worse! Wood is nice and warm, and beautiful, but sometimes cracks and falls off! There are advantages and disadvantages to each and every handle material, but we can rest assured, they ALL work just fine, most of the time!
My pap would just have a old timer stockman 😂 that looks like it can’t take another run on the wet stone😊
Great job guys! I honestly was expecting a more rudimentary end result.
I own the Devils Finger in the canyon red micarta, but I absolutely loved the sequoia green version with the satin blade finish. Since it was a popular model, and you recently re-released the Model 1934, does that mean you may re-release the Devils Finger somewhere down the line?
We're always talking about popular models that might deserve another round! Nothing is guaranteed to make a return, but anything is possible.
My best customer service experience. Was with finch. They didn't let me down and all the finch knive i own are top notch.
Man, I’ve really been eyeing a finch. Love the classic designs and modern construction. I’m slowly talking myself into buying one. Keep up the good work with the style!
It looks like you (or a satellite business) also sells watches. Interwsting!
Can we get an up close look at that white storm undertaker before release?
I bought your 2 new Model 1929s and both had defects. Since I'm in Canada I can't send them for warranty because the border agency is going to seize them on reentry. 😔
Hey! Super sorry to hear that you're having issues with your new knives. Would you mind sending us an email with any necessary details? We'd love to make things right in any way we can. Go ahead and fill out the contact form on our website and we'll reach out.
@@FinchKnifeCo Thank you got a super fast reply, am getting replacement parts
I have a shiv, pipeline and stinger, all wood handled. I can't decide which is the nicest looking although I'm partial to the stinger ebony knife.
Great content! Thanks for sharing the inside info.
Great company ! I can not wait for my Runtly XL & McCoy to arrive...I'm really excited to test and review them 💪😎
I really wish that the Nocturnal had better blade steel like S35VN or better👍
I hear you but 14c is probably more in line for this knifes intended use. It’s not far off from s35 and I’d definitely not use this for more than light duties
We have a new knife coming out at the end of the month with S35VN! This one is called the Undertaker.
@FinchKnifeCo I just looked up the Finch Knife Co Undertaker, and I'm not a fan of how it looks😞 The Nocturnal has a very similar look/vibe of the Spyderco Watu, which is why I really like the Nocturnal. But I always hated how the Spyderco Watu has a compression lock mechanism on such a thin/slim knife and how Spyderco put a bulbous knob on the front edge of the Watu's ricasso. That bulbous know hits your finger every time you use one hand to flick its blade closed. The Nocturnal is essentially the Watu that's a flipper knife with a liner lock, which is exactly what the Spyderco Watu should have been from the very beginning👍 It would be awesome to eventually see a dealer exclusive Finch Knife Co Nocturnal made with a blade of S35VN steel or an ever better steel🙏🏼
Just ordered one cant wait to get it the glow resin is awesome. Great design guys.
The Glow Resin is a special one for sure!
I’ve been waiting all summer for the Nocturnal release!
The wait is well worth it! We hope you love it.
Awesome!
Looking forward to it!!!
I love your knives, and yhese are gorgeous!
Nocturnal Glow Resin for me!
Yeah buddy!!💯💯💯
Nice!
you have. a satin finish
Plain stone wash is lame
How much?
Usually $60, but they are on sale right now!
Not trying to be that guy. But at what point would a tool belt be better?
I love mine! I use it to carry knives and watches when leaving town.
What knives are those?
It’s called finch co
The first two in the video are the Pipeline and the Hellfire. The third one is a new project coming out later this year! We're very excited about it.
@@FinchKnifeCo absolutely stunning knives
@@FinchKnifeCo I need that third one lol
It'll be out in a couple months! It's a whole new world for us.
Love this content! FYI: I'm here from KKHI.
Welcome! We are HERE for the people. More educational content is coming!
Bead FTW
Gotta love a mirror finish.
Bead blast
The bead blast is in my opinion the best for someone who uses their knife and doesn't want it to look terrible after awhile. The DLC is also quite nice for this and is actually really good for those who use their knives in a more harsh environment. The polished finish is for someone who doesn't use their knife lol. As someone who has purchased knives and polished them up they are tough to keep nice and shiny looking while also using it. I have a Becker BK2 that I brought up to a mirror finish and it looked fantastic but I use my knives and it still looks great but you can see tons of micro scratches in the blade now.
1 looks really clean

I figured out quickly that the polished blade of my Shiv was a finger print (and other stuff) magnet. But I like the look. The Pipeline I just got is olivewood with the DLC coating and it looks great.
That Olivewood Pipeline looks awesome!
Love the 1929! Once they are back in stock I'm going to pick one up for my b-day. Just an FYI, I'm here from KKHI.
Welcome! We may have to bring it back soon. We couldn't keep these ones on the shelf!
Awesome video guys! Love the background, lighting, music, and of course presentation was great. Love it!
Works well as a build plate for printing PETG too.
Good news 👍
Great idea and I for one would love a traditional style knife with a button lock! Not sure if you guys like input or not but for a button lock I suggest making the button lock knife a sturdy plunge lock that won't fail with a simple spine wac that some TH-camrs might point out and call it dangerous also make the plunge lock feel like it has a detent (I heard that's hard to do). I would suggest putting a compression style lock on the knife like what's on the Spyderco Smock and I also think people are calling it a top liner lock like some of Vosteeds knives and or a button actuated liner lock. ✌️
You guys are awesome. Could you tell me if the Ivory Micarta can be dyed with I think people use Rit dye? Thanks in advance.
Yes you can! Rit dying is a great way to add some personalization to your knife. As with many things, though, each one will probably turn out different. Don't be surprised if yours doesn't turn out exactly like a tutorial you saw online.
Absolutely have one.
Why don’t we see knife makers milling G10 more often?
I have a couple wire clips that are placed just right so I have plenty of knife to grab both being spyderco it’s the perfect blend killed clips are for pieces you just don’t use ever
I LOVE this design... hopefully, we'll see some other handle options in the future (I'll wait for the stag option- hint, hint).
