I like that noone are talking about performance issues. Seems that EVERYONE have an I9 with 4090 ti with 128 gb.
Anyone who played PoE1 knows optimization was gonna need work forever and always🤣 The ARPG genre is a category that is never played at higher frame rates once there’s so much going on in end game anyway🤷♂️. I have an 11th gen i7, 16 gb of old ram and a 3080, no problems usually unless it’s a crazy map we’ll drop FPS but it’s expected
240 hours in, over 200 maps done, 0 citadels. 0. :D
I have 470 hours, one character. One failed citadel so far...

One of the main problems ive seem to found was how fast some of the monsters were. Im a ranged character, im not blind... i shouldn't have the mobs reach me before i even attack or see them. Feels like im playing melee most of the time.

Naw casters are the only ones getting 1 tapped. Havent been one tapped on any melee toon yet.
1 tap usually has longer time to attack or cast.
This entire debate brings up this big question. Should endgame have an end??? Does inflating it with crazy RNG make it better? Or crazy grind? Should that be the majority of your experience? I'ma be honest endgame in poe2 to me is boring AF, I basically just got frustrated and bought the pinnacles, beat them, and now done. Waiting till new content.
Nah. They're fine. One shot mechanics in boss fights are meant for the player to have to consider their build and to follow the mechanics of the fight. You should be made to do the fight how the devs made the fight.

I'm level 92 and I've played almost 300h in total. Today I found my first Citadel and was able to beat it. I agree that you are aimlessly just clearing the map and it feel kind of a drag. I don't mind it being RNG either but the one attempt needs to go on the citadels for how tedious it is to find them. They could implement a new map node with a NPC in it that gives you an idea/quest about which direction to go or add to the existing "find this citadel" quest line a function of that nature or something like that.
Mistakes Raxx for Zizaran, spells it Ziaran in the flash correction.👌

since dmdiablo4 video ppl discovered how to find citadels, but other points are still valid, it take to long to find them, one shot mechanics combined with 1 try per map its bad, poe1 atlas is far superior

If you're talking about DM's "Path of Exile 2 Conspiracy Situation is Hilarious..." video, he tried every unhinged conspiracy theory and the results were that the mapping portion of the community is desperate and superstitious. If I were a gambling man (I am) I'd put my money that there's something buried in the code that's bugged like influence circles. show up very very seldomly in the HO atlas device but show up every time at the campaign atlas device after you hover over them (then bricks again the moment you interact with it in your HO).

Depends on the other rolls. That one I got was honestly pretty ass😭. I think I put it up for a couple exalt and eventually just trashed it💔 If you have resistances or high rolls of life and mana it might be worth using or selling🤷♂️
For me the main issue for the map system is the disconnection of map patches. I have discovered another patch and I don't have any means to connect there. (I have only checked 4-5 screens distance along the side of my atlas and I got 4 disconnected patches I can't connect to them.)
One of my buddies ran into this the other night and we weren’t sure if it was a bug or if there was really another crazy long way around… Glad to know we weren’t the only ones who saw it!

Love the game but there’s way too many mechanics that rely on random chance, like crafting for example

Im down for the chance if I had more fkn currency. I shouldn't have to have 500 % increased rarity drop only running t15 plus maps to see divine orbs and a bunch of exalts. I work a nine to five and get a few hours a day to play and am lvl 75 and have seen maybe 12 exalted orbs.
Only a matter of time. For now crafting is far too rng and without the scours you have to horse bases for when you do actually have the currency to attempt to roll them.
No boss endgame should be 1 shotted, they should try and scale the boss around the characters numbers while the maps focus more on minions, complexity or added traps/ mechanics like in ultima. But outside of maps, what's the goal of endgame?? What are the extra stats from map clearing supposed to go against except faster repetative map content.
citadels should 100% be RNG, but you should get a little arrow pointing to it when you get within maybe 2-5 screens of one

I personally think bosses should be a BIG thing. A very exciting and memorable fight imo. Citadels being RNG make it so you can’t just guarantee farming some pinnacle or uber boss all day. I PERSONALLY was not a big bosser in PoE1 I think I only beat 1 pinnacle but only had a couple hundred hours of playtime in general. Now I wanna kill bosses but wanna have it be more of an excitement thing rather than a task. That all being said I’ve been mapping for probably 70 hours I’m level 90 and I’ve never seen a citadel so I think a general direction indicator and maybe an increase in citadel spawn rates depending on how the direction info lands for the casuals and that’s perfect.

The issue with the Bell nerfs is that its pretty balanced with a non stat stacker ice strike build. If they nerf bell it will basically kill ice strike. I would rather them nerf other builds ability to proc the bell or change how quickly it can be proced. that should make it still viable for "normal builds".
Rarity should not affect currency
I think this will be the way GGG goes
I feel like T0 bosses should have multiple attempts so people can learn fight mechanics and not feel like they are better off selling breachstones, simulacrums, etc. As you defeat the bosses and level them up, increase the difficulty and loot while reducing the amount of attempts up until you have 1 shot, 1 opportunity to seize everything you wanted.

it amuses me that people neither call the 'Titan Boss' by his proper name, nor by "The Colossus" which is what comes after his name. The boss has one attack that will kill you 100% of the time, no matter what build you have. It's the one where he sticks the dagger into the ground and drags out. No amount of defenses will save you if taht hits you. The exploding frozen minions are also lethal but there is at least a way to play around them.
Too bad he has 'Armour Buff' and 'ES nerf' in the same column. these are mutually exclusive. Armour is fine for what it is. It's good when you are taking a lot of small hits, not so good for big attacks. Evasion is good for big slow attacks, but you lose the numbers game when you take a lot of small hits. Armour is fine for what it does, and I don't think it needs to change for the kind of game GGG is trying to make with PoE2. ES has no weakness. It's just good, and better than the other 2. It needs to be nerfed. It should be on par with life for scaling. GGG went to great lengths to remove life scaling from the board because they knew everyone would think it's a must have' and then went and gave ES (which is already life that regenerates) and mana (which can be used as life with Mind over Matter) tons of scaling. So now ES/MoM is the meta because life scaling (even if it's 'life replacements') is still the best way to survive.
Why nerf passives instead of Buffing other passives to make a variety of builds passive tree is huge rework it to make different builds available
Titan, act boss not ascendency, is a tech problem not a balance issue. Devs have mentioned that there were many bugs with hit detection/boxes, the platform, titan himself freezing up etc.
Yeah Ziz was saying people in his chat said he’s hit for CRAZY amounts of damage. I don’t doubt he’ll be fixed within 2 weeks of them being back max😅
They should give us bosses to kill to climb the tower, that would be good loot and therefore also exciting to go to a tower. Right now towers to me are just annoying. Another issue is that in towers, walls are hiding monsters.
Imagine if towers had bosses😫

I found one. But it's only rare.
The majority of that stuff won't change in a meaningful way imo. I'm still a little stuck in the honeymoon phase, but i am realizeling now that despite the impression many have got, GGG is not changing their design philosophy. Things like punishment and access to currency are the primary means by which GGG balances their difficulty and that is unlikely to change. Unless TenCent forces them, GGG will not a create a version of this game that is more accessible to a mid-gamer.
Ascendancy & only one portal in maps is the only thing really vital to me. I really dont get why people complain about rarity exept for jealousy that their top-builds don't drop the same amount as a farm-build.
Jealousy could be part of it, but I think a lot of it is frustration. A lot of us want to play the game that GGG claimed this was, but can't because the tools to do that are kept from us because that is how GGG creates their difficulty. Which is fine. This is a niche game for people who want a 1000+ grinding experience. The problem is we thought GGG said they wanted to open the game up to a bigger audience, but they are not changing their design philosophy to accomplish that.
Its not about jealousy, at least from my end I can run a 350%+ rarity on my character but i have to sacrifice precious slots where I could get more power. I want to fully min max my guy not equip intentionally worst gear just to pump the rarity % up. If this is their vision for endgame this is not the game for me and you know thats completely fine, I'll find something else to play :)
@@bbbbb8191 the problem isn't rarity, the problem is the standard droprate is waaay to low.
The level of drops coming from the rarity is what's responsible for the economy being so inflated. It's not jealousy, it's legitimately breaking the economy. Divines are much more common for those with rarity which means you get ludicrous prices. The other problem is that builds like deadeye and stormweaver are not so beholden to defensive stats unlike warrior, they can fight at range and have huge clear with limited risk. Deadeye has the best of both worlds; they can build rarity and they also get a fuckton of movement speed from tailwind. I want to play a deadeye despite hating ranger purely because of the move speed.

This is happening in the recent update of Dauntless. The maximum armor you can have is 700, but that's against a single element, so the soft cap is 600. There's certain islands where you will just get 1-tapped by the enemy just MOVING.

I swear to god if they brick Glass Cannon builds to make people more tankier I'll raid GGG headquarters. If I demolish mobs and monsters the reason is they can demolish me too with one shot. I choose to dodge and play careful while dealing tons of damage. That's a playstyle and nerfing this because of people wants to face tank bosses is not fair.
I’m in the same boat running a pretty glass cannon LA Ranger and I don’t think we’ll see glass cannons nerfed to the ground just balanced skills. My lightning rods are kinda wild😅😅
I say give us the best of both worlds! Let us face tank with the right investment and let's us go glass cannon with equal investment.. Also did you know that if you die to a boss in the campaign the bosses held gets cut in half? I personally hate that. If I'ma fight a boss I want to feel like I beat em not that the game took pity on me? Imagine if the souls game did that... I don't think it would go over well in the community
That’s what PoE1 basically was and I think the road they’re going down. Bosses health does not get changed just because you die btw
@@revakgonerogue I did not think the boss health was halved because if that was the case the Count and the Titan should have had 1 health when I fought them due to the number of times I died to them as a warrior.
No one wants to kill glass cannon builds. Well, id like to see a little bit of a nerf to stat stackers. People just want the option to get a little more defensive layers on their characters, there isn't a lot of great ways to build defenses.
