Aw man, that’s kind of really unfortunate. Though I could see that as being true , season 2 literally bent over backward to make the ship happen. Plot points, retcons, set up be damned. I feel like, and I say in a genuine way,her writing could greatly benefit from knowing when to kill her darlings. Or someone on the team who can filter the ideas, and know which ones to scrap.

@FluffyBumpkin yeah, but honestly given Helluva is fan funded I think her and the crew's main issue is setting up boundaries on how much influence patreons can have. Bc like you don't see her UwU-ing Valentino for the fans and shipping him with Angel, like she definitely knows how to write an exploitive relationship.

Would it, the whole point is blitz is an oppressed member in society and stolas is higher in the hierarchy. stolas should be the one on trial but royalty gets exempt.

100% agree! I’m all for having all sorts of topics talked about in media, but a lot of it , like in anime ( though not the only example) has a huge issue with fetishizing it.

i hate the last episode of dandadan, literally momo knows she's in danger, yet shes not defending herself, she litereally has the power to stop it, albeit her PSYCHIC POWERS. its like shes not even fighting back, it pisses me off where a character has a power to avoid these kinds of situation but act like deer in front of toyota corolla travelling at night

Truuuue! The thing is the writing was there, if that makes sense? Like I was entertained, but the lack of setup, execution, boggled my brain to where it was like “Wait this doesn’t make sense.” But also while bringing up paimon, some folks brought up a good point as to why he wouldn’t just hold onto the title until via became of age instead of Andrelphus? Like he’s not married into the family nor related by blood to Stolas.

@@FluffyBumpkinI doubt that Paimon would allow HIS TITLE to go to someone not even related to HIS OWN FAMILY. He could even have Stolas placed under his care again.

Yeah, Octavia and Stella really don’t even exist as characters outside of Stolas, and well now Andrelphus too. Also while funny it kinda didn’t make a lick of sense, and was mainly done for the laughs, to which I can’t take any of these villains seriously when they want us to.

Alas begging for nuance and only getting crumbs. And I’m not even trying to victim blame either, of course there’s no justifiable reason for Stella to torment Stolas. However, the decisions he made in result of that doesn’t mean he can’t be at fault. Cheating blatantly in front of your child while making inappropriate remarks in front or your child is wrong, renting out a powerful family heirloom / daughters inheritance just to get your rock offs, is wrong, not communicating with your child to explain the divorce, your affair, also wrong. And has consequences. Honestly would have much preferred the situation you suggested! Because it lets mutual parties be at fault , while also complex.

I think ya cooked! And definetly would give Stella some nuance. The thing about having an antagonist with a back story is not to make them sympathetic but complex. And there’s nothing wrong with that! Because in that way the protagonist (stolas is basically the second one of the show rn) gives room for them to be in the wrong. Them to misunderstood and challenged! Although I can’t say I have confidence in that being the case in season 3 sadly. :c

Yeah, all of the Robot Chicken Star Wars skits are hilarious, poking fun at the various illogical and absurd parts of the franchise (mostly the Original Trilogy and Sequel Trilogy as the Sequel Trilogy did not exist when they were made) and they never fail to make me laugh. And I couldn't put it better than you just did, Bee and Ozzy (and Vassago amongst the Goetia) were sympathetic to Blitz and Stolas but their input essentially amounted to nothing. They put up the most feeble of defense and just buckled to a popular vote. And yeah, Paimon not being present is very odd. The *"Can I ask what the prophecy is? Why is that something that I don't know?"* from the RC:SW skit is how I feel about pretty much all the lore in Viv's shows. Because so much of how the world works...Just isn't explained. Such as: "What purpose to the Sins serve?" "What purpose do the Goetia serve?" "Why hasn't Octavia been Bethrothed yet?" "What is Andrealphus' duty amongst the Goetia?" "Why does Moxxie's background keep changing?" "Why does Bee allow her Hellhounds to be treated as slaves and pets? Why does she let them be adopted as pets?" "Why is it controversial for Demon Royalty to date Imps? But with Ozzie no one really cares?" "Why is Bee dating a Hellhound just ignored?" "How is Mammon going to make Ozzie "regret" revealing his relationship?" "Why didn't Ozzie mention Striker was part of a plot to con him by Crimson?" While true in regard to what happened, The thing is the narrative doesn’t hold him accountable and that’s my biggest gripe. He’s portrayed as a martyr rather than someone facing the repercussions of their own actions.😭

​@FluffyBumpkin A martyr? People literally threw things at him immediately after the trial. They HATED him. Blitzo had to tell them to stop. And in the Sinsmas episode, he isn't even able to talk to or see his daughter til the end which is a month later and she straight out tells him she wants nothing to do with him. She kind of hates him. And he's left sobbing on the ground because of it. Don't forget the Sinner who wanted her ex husband killed while Stolas was working for IMP and how bad she talked and how that hurt him. He's being punished.

It's executed poorly if this is him facing consequences cuz when Blitz face his consequences he was eaten out alive compared to Stolas he barely learns anything from his punishment that's what consequences are for learning a lesson.

You forget, he's royalty, they get a pass on a lot and weak punishments on everything else. Their system would collapse if they were too harsh with royalty.

It's a shitty punishment. Being rich your whole life makes it impossible to know how to be poor. Also he's separated from his daughter now. It doesn't matter that they didn't physically put hands on him.

Maybe I don't feel like he got punished cuz he self loathes so much N in the imp office he's jus gonna self loathe more And Octavia is still a plot device

Personally I’m fine with characters being one note, in an entertaining type of way. Like Mojo Jojo, Aku, heck even Princess Morbucks! It’s just in my personal taste she’s written boringly so far.
