Personally I think it would've been more appropriate if this were a jazz or zydeco remix.

You know honestly this game has always had a Roadhouse vibe to me Bayou Billy fighting His way to Gordon's Estate always reminds me of Dalton raiding Brad Wesley's Compound at the end of that film

a mediocre game with excellent soundtrack
What is that supposed to mean? Bayou Billy was way ahead of its time by cramming a variety of genres (beat'em up, driving and shooting) into one single game. The japanese version was too easy but it had 4 different endings. And the american version is considered one of the hardest video games ever. It even appeared in the old Captain N the Gamemaster cartoon, and the hero admitted Bayou Billy was one of the games he had yet to conquer. How is all that mediocre?

The best damn NES soundtrack of all time. Yes, not as iconic as other titles BUT the choice of music and execution? Like no other NES game. Me and my brother would spend HOURS just listening to Track A and B. And the game was a fucking bitch too, haha. We loved it for the music more than for the game.
