Hi there! I'm a trainspotter living in London. I film videos of trains at stations and upload them here.
Walkthrough: Paddington's new Bakerloo line entrance!
In September 2024, Paddington Underground station gained a brand-new ticket hall as part of the Paddington Square development, replacing the old entrance to the Bakerloo line on Praed Street. The new entrance provides step-free access via lifts to the Bakerloo line platforms.

Good stuff! So if I take the Euston Road ticket hall entrance, will signs direct me to the Victoria line or instead will they take me on the tour like the new ticket hall? The new ticket hall is closest so I wonder if I can go in there, then head directly to the old ticket hall, and then head to the Victoria line? Or do I need to follow others signs all together and enter via an "exit" of some kind?
I'm assuming you've just arrived on a National Rail train, and want to change to the Victoria line. When you take the short escalator down from the rail station towards the Tube, the signs will direct you to tap in at the new ticket hall. But instead, you should follow the underground walkway towards Euston Road, and tap in at the Euston Road ticket hall. From here, you can follow signs to the Victoria line, and this route is quicker overall. Alternatively, you can walk at ground level (through the National Rail station) towards Euston Road, instead of the underground walkway. What matters is where you tap in to the Tube - at Euston Road rather than Regent's Canal. Perhaps I could have made that more clear.
What route do they take ? Wembley to Norwich also derby litchurch lane to Wembley?
For Wembley to Norwich, they move from the WCML to the NLL at Willesden Junction (although they could theoretically do it through the old Primrose Hill station), then onto the GEML just before Stratford. For Derby to Wembley, I assume it's straight down the WCML.
Amazing, what a sound.
Beautiful
Brillant video.
Not quite a STEAM train when a diesel locomotive is attached either end. Maybe a second steamer will provide the required emergency back up.
Its there as a back-up, 80+ yr old steam will always have reliability issues no matter how well maintained - having two steamers just doubles the chances of breaking down + having a 2nd, still has to be fired up and on steam in case its needed - a diesel just needs to be switched on!
Wow kereta uap yang sangat cepat
Super nice with the whole line in one video!
Built in Crewe!
great stuff i love steam trains
0:32 looks like the same depart as victoria line
0:40 You can actually hear the motor cut out so if the train kept motoring it would've left the platform faster
Are there any known diagrams at the moment i can utilise?
👀
I saw it at Colchester on Tuesday I even got footage
Using an AI voice will only damage your credibility
I appreciate your feedback, but how so? That's not the impression I get from other channels using voiceovers?
@@SideOfTheLine_Trainspottingthis commenter is absolutely right. AI voicovers are a Scourge and give 'scraped generated by slop' which is dreadful, especially if the creator spent a lot of effort on it. ANY human voice is better thsn this.
hey I saw u today I was the guy with the white t shirt
Thanks for shouting me out! It was nice meeting you!
Thanks for the shoutout dude, surely we will meet again
Ok, i think we get it now😅
Theatre goers could join trains ocvupying the full length of the platform at Highgate, and alight at one of the statiions in Central London. It didnt matter that they stopped in the tunnel for most of the journey, as nobody would require to get off at any of the intermediate stations.
Mate thats southall r u ok
Yes, that's a good point. Sorry, I thought it was Hanwell for some reason. I've updated the video title now.

Metro in London doesn't look like a place you want to be. Ads all over the place. Comparing it with metro in Moscow
Warp speed. Mr Sulu, take us home.
Is the S stock using AC motors?
do it on the Victoria Line
What just happened 😮
Cool! I visited Brent Cross West the other day.
Nice! I look forward to going hopefully this weekend!
If you love trains the West Highland line up through the Highlands of Scotland beautiful do it summer by steam

Bow Road station is closed due to staff shortage Customers should alight at stations either side and continue journey at street-level.
If they use full power because the speed limit is max so instead they use full power
The s-stock is mainly like the overground not underground😂😂😂
Great video!
The S stock and 1972 stock are my local trains. Since I live in Harrow and want to go to central London from time to time, both the Metropolitan and Bakerloo lines are really useful. I just love riding on over 50 year old trains on the Bakerloo line. It truly is amazing hearing that old traction motor in action!
Please do Northern Line from Tooting Broadway to Hendon Central using 1 side Northern and the other Northern, Victoria and back to Northern.
That's a great idea! I think I'll do just the main bit, from Stockwell to either Euston or King's Cross. I know Euston has a nicer connection between the Victoria and Bank branch, and it would give me more time to spare, so I think it's the better option.
What does the white door led mean 0:33
It's a "ready to depart" indicator, it turns on when the automatic signalling system signals to the train that it can depart.
@@1nbpusually that light turns off when the doors are about to close, not when it's started to go in the tunnel.
@@MahammadAhmed Isn't that typically the yellow light?
This happened when circle line trains terminated at Tower Hill

Interesting Series!✨️ Keep up the good work! Just Subscribed :)
Welcome aboard!
Are you in London?
Guess it was like walking up the equivalent of a 15 storey building? 😁 Thanks for the film!
I don't know how to describe the sound but the final screeching is much faster as well, the normal acceleration takes 14 seconds to reach its final screeching sound and the rapid acceleration only takes 8 seconds to reach its final screeching sound, an entire 6-7 seconds difference
Any idea why the ride is so rough?
great video 🔥
I didn't know about this until I saw your short. Thanks
