Loose the stupid music!
Always open to new ideas! Just trying to keep people engaged during the time lapses. Thanks for the comment hope you enjoyed the video otherwise!
Nice work. Wish your business was anywhere near me, your skills are getting hard to find. Was a little painful watching 3in1 blocks being used to drive bushings in. I know the blocks were "retired" and out of spec or you wouldn't do that.
Hey thanks for the great comment very appreciated. Your 100% right, I have several 123 blocks some i use for welding, press work, dirty work etc...Several are kept only for precision work machining etc...
Just found the channel! I have a 77 bronco and Im trying to figure out what I want to do it with. Its probably going to stay stock for the most part but might do a little lift and go for a "stock plus look". What suspension parts are you using and what did you end up with for wheels and tires? I cant stand the tacky big double shock hoop that most early broncos convert too. Your set up looks super clean. Thanks!
Hey thanks for the comment. The stock plus look is exactly what I'm going for. I'm running the 2.5" lift from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard. I'm also using a 1" body lift to clear the ax15 swap. Tires are a 31x10.5" bfg knock offs and rims are stock 15" sand blasted and painted wimbledon white.
@@MagicMillwright Thats a very similar set up to what I am looking for... I am excited to see your come together ahead of mine! Thanks!
Hey what paint did you use? That's a really nice color that looks better than most of the paints I've found, thanks!
@@MarkHewko I used rustoleum John deere green and yellow. Added some of the Majic brand hardener available at tractor supply.
Thank you! That's surprising, most of the rustoleum John Deere green that I've seen and used comes out with a bluish tint, but yours has a nice rich green that matches the vintage "classic" John Deere Green
Nice work
Thanks appreciate the feedback!
I found that taking things apart and cleaning them fixes the issue like 75% of the time
I've never thought of trying to fix the selenoid, I've allways just bought a new one when they go, starter problems, normally selenoid, try tapping first to see if it's selenoid.
This is one of the better tips I have seen! Thank you
@@mysmallbusiness7149 Awesome, great to hear!
Pro tip, if the starter isn't working, cables are good, power is good, hit it with a hammer and try again. If it works, then do what this guy is saying! The hammer trick works almost every time!
If it works after tapping, then you know for sure it's the selenoid.
I felt so betrayed when I realized that many solenoids today are not bolted together. Taking them apart is destructive. Even if you find parts, don't be surprised if it won't work. Then you're vehicle is disabled for a few days while you look for a replacement.
Sad truth, this starter was from a clark forklift. Still lots out there serviceable. But less and less everyday I'm sure.
THANKS MANE...
Learned that 50 years ago ,always flip the battery stud 180 degrees to get fresh surface
Yup, if you look closely in the video that's exactly what I did!
Nice work. Get you one of the battery packs and zip tie it to the tripod, no more dead phone.
@TheBlueEyeDevil That's a great idea! I already have a Noco boost jumper pack with USB in and out. So that would work perfect ziptied to my tripod! The things you learn when you start a youtube channel. Thanks again!
Is that about a 12HP Koehler? I notice it is an offset piston / crankshaft configuration. It should be pretty torque bound. For a small engine.
I believe the John Deere 140H3 came with either a 14hp or a 16hp Kohler in the later model years. I do believe this is the later 16hp model. Great engines, we ran one on our mini puller as well!
Hey can you let me know if that hydraulic drop bearing worked in your Bronco? Your title is that it's an attempt. So I'd like to do it if it worked
Hey, thanks for reaching out, so far so good. It's installed and works currently. It might be a while before the Bronco is running down the road for further testing. But in its current layout it does work.
I was just looking last week for alum gas tank welding. Thanks for the video. Still got one more tank to go.
Well let me know if you have any question. But just to clarify these are diesel fuel tanks I weld up. Not sure if that would be different for gas tanks or not.
@@MagicMillwright I did a triple wash and then ran a shopvac pulling fresh air through the tank while welding. I didn't go boom.
That is some good tire lube. That is what we use to mount bus tires. It helps keep from damaging the bead when mounting the tires to the rims.
I'll be sure to do a review hopefully that stuff works to get those tractor tires on because nothing else would!
Thats dope , like the no adapter way to go . I am a 25 year stick welder just got a tig machine . Love the info .
Thanks, yeah the no adapter is the way to go. The adapters are bulky and expensive.
Hmmmm guess not everyone can do Yutube segments, editing is a big thing so were not all sitting bere watching you change out the muffler
You may not want to see me change a muffler but 3000 other people did. Someone who isn't as handy or familiar with the process may be watching to learn exactly what is required. If I just skipped pasted and edit out everything it wouldn't serve much purpose would it?
How did you bypass the seat switch to see if that was the problem? I don't know if my problem is the seat switch or the several safety switches that are on the tractor...
Just a short jumper wire across the two wires going to the seat switch should bypass it.
@@MagicMillwright Thank you
i have the same outfit and it sucks for mowing ! actually it cant be done .
I mowed 1.5 acres with it at the old house, now mow around 3 acres and keep 1.5miles of trail cleaned with it. Haven't had any issues yet?
good video I like it ,because I have the same tractor and mower you have and I know every thing you touched on was 100 percent right ,thanks
I'm in the UK and am looking to tap a sycamore which is in the same family as maple. How do you know when is the right time to start tapping?
Here we tap when the temperature gets above freezing during the day and below freezing at night. If we get a 1-2 week stretch of weather like that its prime time for maple sap to run.
Use sand in the back of the arch like I do so it holds the heat in better and maybe take the back of the fire box put in a little bit of a wall to we’re the smoke with draft out an still let heat to back
Add a blower to the back side of the fire box
Yes this was suggested by several other people. I ended up doing this before my last boil. But warm temps caused my sap to spoil and I never got the chance to test it.
Great set up
Thanks!
What kind of evaporator is that and size?
Its a Thor evaporator 18×36 I bought it from Grant settlements farm.
@@MagicMillwright awesome man. You plan on putting more videos up?
@@rileymousseau4272 Oh yeah, unfortunately nothing else for this season. But we are just starting to build our house on the property so it will get easier and easier to do videos.
I greatly appreciate folks like you who take time to make great intel videos. This video helped me out a lot and prob saved me a couple hundred dollars. Thanks Bro!
Tapped here in WV on the 2nd and been a great season so far!
Unfortunately I had a good run for about 2 days then the weather turned cold again. Things are looking perfect for next week!
Great video for a few upgrades. I was given an 034 with a bad engine. Stihl put in a new engine for me, but I don't have any information about the saw (no owner's manual). Do you want to do a video on how to check, clean, and replace the air filter?
I could definately do a video on basic saw maintenance
Have you had any problems since replacing this switch?
No its been flawless ever since.
hey bud if you put a drain in the bottom of the pvc pipe you don't have to worry about water it. will drain out.
Nice video. I just bought a used 2013 B2650 with a cab. It has about 590 hours on it. They are hard to find here in South Florida , so I bought it from Good Works tractors after watching several of his videos. I really like his honesty and the whole transaction and delivery from Kalamazoo Michigan to South Florida went extremely smooth. Only issue so far is I noticed a small hydraulic leak in the front steering cylinder and the A/C is a little low on Freon. Courtney from Good Works sent me a really nice bumper to bumper video of the tractor including running it through its paces prior to me making my decision …..neither he or I saw any leaks prior to delivery and the A/C still blows cold, just more bubbles in the sight glass than there should be so it is just a little low on Freon (Hopefully not a leak). Good Works Tractors offered to pay for the seal repair, but I declined. I want to change the seals myself to learn how to do it, and if I mess it up, I have several hydraulic shops around me. Over all I highly recommend Good Works Tractors to anyone wanting a quality used tractor. I am curious as to how many hours your has on it and what year it is. Maybe you addressed this in a previous video, but I just ran across this video trying to do some more education on my model tractor. Best of luck with your channel and I look forward to more of your content.
Hey thanks for the kind words. I hope you subscribe and share with your friends. My machine is a 2018 800hrs when I got it. That's a bummer with the oil leak and ac issue. Unfortunately that's the gamble we take buying used equipment. Even the best dealers won't find every possible issue before selling a used machine. I like good works tractors he has great videos. Be sure to check back often I will be doing a full service on my machine in the coming month.
