This is why the james has monsters. Tournaments release the giants. I seen a giant giant flat head just cruising up river while I was bass fishing the upper james.

Wish my dad let me fish more when I grew up, I’m 19 in college, and nobody here likes fishing. I’ve always loved it even though I fished like 20 times in my life. Shame to be in the northeast 😔. - any tips for a cheap setup for fishing out on a lake with no boat?
Get u a cheap kayak can find them for $100 or less or even free on Facebook!! Then get u some rods for whenever u are targeting what fish will u be going after?
If you have a truck a little 12-14ft Jon boat works perfectly for a little bit of everything can run a small motor 5hp-9.9hp or even like a 25hp 2 stroke get pretty cheap with maybe a little work old outboard motors are very easy to work on there are tons of videos out there to help u
