Pretty good day of paragliding in Talihina Oklahoma over the Memorial Day weekend. Good convergence lines with lots of blue holes.
I abandoned the Triangle Task after reaching the first turn point seeing the giant blue hole I’d have to go thru, so I turned back and headed towards launch at Panorama Point.
Still loving the Photon, it’s an XC machine.
I don’t love the handling, but climbs in weak lift and glide performance are second to none in the C category.
The wing feels absolutely solid thru out the speedbar range. I spent most of the day on 1/3 bar getting phenomenal glide ratios.
The BogdanFly Cocon V2 harness performs very well.
I’m 104k on a ML Photon.

Short video top landing in Oklahoma yesterday. You can see how long the brakes are and still not stalling. Great performance wing in the C class… Flown at 104k, size ML Photon and the BogdanFly V2 harness.
Ozone Photon. Review in description

My first real flight on my new Photon. Size ML flown at 103kg on a typical spring day here in Oklahoma, USA. Broken thermals with cross winds for ridge lift. I got a total of 90 mins and feel like I’m starting to get a grasp of what this wing can really do. I’m stepping up to the Photon from an Alpina 4 that I really loved, so I’ll be comparing the wings a lot. First thing I noticed was that th...
Ozone Photon. Unboxing and first flight

Brand new Ozone Photon size ML unboxing and first flight in Heavener Oklahoma. Short flight, poor conditions, but great to be able to unbox and get a flight in on the same day! It’s a high aspect ratio 2-liner C wing. Flies like it’s on rails! I can’t wait to get some big XC miles on it.

Thanks for putting Mount Nebo onto the map for me. I'll swing by on my next trip out West. Nice video, BTW.
Hey there i come through your area often im from North Mississippi i own a paraglider bur ive never flown. Would it be possible we could meet up sometime and i learn a few things you?

Very nice Paul! I found this just in time for my January trip! I'm going to send you an email, I need to talk to you.
Thanks. Maybe you can correct "Valle del Cuaca" to "Valle del Cauca" at time 1:05.🙏
Gracias! Typo….
I thought it was gonna be a tutorial💀
Looks beautiful! Do you know if there are any places to speedfly in Arkansas?
unfortunately no. we definitely dont have the steepness with LZs!
I've flown over Hot springs. A few times in a helicopter. I'm pretty sure if you tried really hard to find a launch and LZ you can find a very short line if the wind were right. Might be super short and not legal.
Badass dude!
Just the kind of practical information I was looking for. Thanks for making this video!
It’s like they just switch lanes without doing any check whatsoever. Even a 0.05 sec quick glance is enough.
I had one and it went up and up and away. Never found it!
Hahaha I found mine 4 blocks away. Had to riding my bike to find it.
Hello I Have came across your video and would like to use it on my channel if all is well I do provide credit as well 🙂
I saw a turn signal. Everybody knows pros have no use for turn signals!

I don’t think it was prudent to let a little kid launch it.
Ha ha. That’s what kids are for 😉
Lifted pickup just experienced why lift kits are shit 😂.
Wrong title... It should be "how to pit maneuver like a pro"
lifted trucks don't realize how easy it is to flip or lose control
Dude who runs this channel is like "why is this suddenly getting views amd recent comments after 4 years"
Nitro helicopter. Very cool. Always wanted to see how that one would flly.
Hey! Mind if I also use your clip in an upcoming video (educational use)? Credited, of course!
hello bro, can i use, this video, with credit, on screen ? .
thats fine with me
@@pcondron Thank you
Did the person just speed off after causing the accident or what.
No. He did not exactly stop, but he did not speed off either. You can see him driving slowly af in the distance, apparently moving to the sidelane or exiting
Reminds me of that family guy joke where the driver changes lane without indicating
That was the "Asian drivers" joke right? Something about "good lucky everyone!' or something while they cause a massive wreck, lol It reminded me of the same.
people that do that deserve a $2000 fine unless the road is completely empty
@@SI0AXI change lane now! Good luck everyone else !! 😂😂
I came for a tutorial
thats why lifted trucks are a bad idea. so heavy and high up that the you have no stability
Trucks in general have no stability unless they have a load, either on the bed or towing. It's like that by design so that they have a higher tow capacity. Not even stripped out FWD cars are as unstable. The weight distribution in Pickup trucks in the worse out of any other possible vehicle configuration but it's because they are meant to me towing or having a load at the rear. Pickup trucks make the worse daily driver. Unstable, huge to park and consume more fuel than huge engine sports cars. I don't get people that buy these to only occasionally use the bed or towing.
Gravity never gets old!
Looking to join y’all down there. Moving out of Colorado for some lower altitude.
“Car wreck?” “Yeah car wreck.” 🤣
money is humankinds worst creation. motor vehicles / driving is not far behind
It's actually related. It all started with Henry Ford. He bribed the government to create an infrastructure where people are forced to depend on cars. They destroyed the walk-ability of the cities and instilled the false mentality of that cars represent "freedom". Cars are the most inefficient method of transportation in the modern world and extremely dangerous. The effects of Henry Fords legacy exist till this day with car and oil companies bribing the government to sabotage trams and train projects. Plenty of underground rail projects were suddenly swapped out to underground highways around the US. Texas is the worse example of car dependency. They almost have no sidewalks.
The cause fled. The innocent truck took the worst. One must anticipate these things. Get the head out of the ass and stay alert. The two lane maneuver was evident before it happened.
that car came on the highway like no one else was on the road, causes an accident and continues like nothing happened.
He really thinks he's the main character
Poor person on the pick up truck. Not only he is driving the silliest thing that is about a stable as a tennis ball on a pin, but he has the slowest hands I have seen in a while.
The one car that cause all the accidenst, get away 🤣🤣🤣🤣, that sedan
He saw the accident unfolding, yet didn't brake untill others did, just kept talking, didn't even change to a safer lane. Amazing, his lack of situational awareness untill after the fact . . . ☆
Non-sense. He did good. Breaking suddenly on a fkin hiway could cause someone ram him from behind. Amazing, your lack of brain . . .
Maybe I don't have a sense for this stuff, but it seems like the best course of action here was to just slow down and stop until the colliding cars have stopped being a moving hazard. There was no safe lane in this situation. I think what the original poster did in the video was reasonable.
Depends, when you slow down you no longer have enough speed make any significant movements. Cruising by the the best thing to do since a car might come barreling towards you when your stopped. At least while you had speed you can avoid an accident really easily.
Hit and run like that should be 10 years in prison
Are you nuts? He should lose his license for several years and have to pay for the damages, including all hospital and repair costs, but prison? What for?
@@MorningNapalm Um...because he cost the pickup truck driver thousands upon thousands of dollars in damages and fled the scene? That's a felony and a 10 year sentence would deter the driver from doing that again.
@@IRllyDoThis So would a 100 year sentence, but punishments for non-lethal unintentional (although negligent) accidents don't work that way, thank god. You know that rape tends to get sentences like 3 years in jail? How is this even comparable.
@@MorningNapalm You have one of the lowest IQ of anyone I have ever encountered. Rape should be a life sentence... Are you okay? Committing a hit and run like this should definitely be a 10 year sentence.
@@MorningNapalmthe fact he left is what going to prison is about. The rest is what he’d get if he pulled over but running from the scene a crime too…
Did you know: Theirs a part of the car that never moves while it's moving and a part of the car which travels twice the speed you're going ?
Both of those are false in the case of four wheel drive, lots of power and a heavy foot.
Cloudbase! So envious! Super great.
Question. How reliable and consistent are those gorgeous cumie days? What time year are they present most? If I visited, how many parawaiting days would typically be needed before a good day ensues?
"accident" implies circumstance beyond control. Cars don't have accidents - they collide.
What are you even talking about. A component could fail, engine could fail, a tire could fail, transmission could fail. Any kind of mechanical failure is beyond human control.
@@jupatj24 Mechanical failure, yes. Not driver error, something that is responsible for majority of collisions. That was the point.
@@jupatj24all those components are made by humans, humans make vehicles collide.. Now maybe a deer or tree or bison suddenly entered the road...
Dork
@@brummyuk2151 At least that makes sense, because an incident is any occurrence outside normal working
That is why there is a continuity line to give time for clearance before changing lanes 😂
😅😅
How's the harness?
i like it a lot. Definitely worth buying. much cheaper than the other “big name” harness out there.
This is very instructive. It's helpful to be able to watch the trailing edge deformation that results from brake input. Question, are you flying with a wrap, half or otherwise? I've experienced some fast landings in no-wind conditions, I failed to slow my Photon down enough. I fly with a half-wrap and was thinking about going to a full wrap for landings
I'm flying with no wrap, although I need to! I'm used to flying with no wrap, and basically pinching the swivels when I fly. With a half wrap (or full) the hands are in a much better position for thermalling. That will be the technique I need to use in the future, it's hard to break the habits of flying with no wraps for years..
@@pcondron I switched to the classic half wrap in 2018. I really like it. If you do the wrap correctly, the line falls across to brake toggle and not across the bottom fleshy part of your hand. Your fingers can still pinch pinch the line, but you're a few inches higher than if you were pinching it at the swivel. The only thing I need to work on now, is to release the wrap if I'm going to use bar. But I'm getting used to that also.
Oh- on top of Brokeback mountain again...
I really thought I was watching a tutorial for a second lmao
Paul very Nice colors. Could you confirm if The color reference is H/L/A/H? Thanks so much!
Yep. HLAH
I’m astounded how this happens everytime… the lack of awareness is so difficult to imagine
I wonder how people like this even know how to breathe.
people never signal which is literally brain dead, and don't blind spot check
so many videos of things like this in the us. Maybe because literally everyone can get a drivers license. In germany the license costs around 3000$, you have to do like 40 driving lessons and many people fail it and are simply not driving a car then. This is we the fatality rate in germany is 1/5 of the american and we are legally doing 200mph on our highways lol
@@tajothy2692 I wish NA would adopt the German highway system. But it’s too late. Too many shit drivers on our roads. I’m from Canada and it’s bad here too. The worst drivers are immigrants and young people.
its always a mix of "im in a rush" and "im retarded"
I really don’t see how this content is supposed to be useful with regard to how the wing handles -without a description of the harness in use and the settings. It’s not like the harness /setting doesn’t change the handling and feeling of the glider
bogdanfly V2. carabiners at 46cm. 103kg all up on a ML Photon. The recent review by Flybubble is EXCELLENT! I couldn't have reviewed the Photon any better than he did. The only disagreement I had was the statement of the Photon flying as "two separate" wings... I never got that feeling on mine.
