    Why not ditch nuclear end waste after melting and centrifugal isotope and element segregation in way, that drill hundreds of kilometers pipelines to high depths underground to deep level of ground. You know, this is something that is happening without human too. Time schedule is just quite different. And do not get it at all, why ditch heavy isotopes with fissile properties. And should separate too before ditching, maybe factories deep underground, maybe a few kilometers in depth. When disaster, not so problematic. Remote guidance and monitoring, in water sealed old mines. And nuclear facilities primarily, why not built in depths in first place, coolant water inlet and outlet is not problem, it just like children's what that is called, balance toy. One goes up, one down, angular velocity constrant. Large flow ways, no constrictive losses. And electricity does not mind getting up from great depths.😅

      Depende de quão fundo e próximo ao núcleo a pessoa cai … a água tem capacidade de ser um escudo contra a radiação … outra coisa a ser levada em consideração é a integridade da vareta combustível, a princípio se estiver intacta não haverá vazamento de resíduos radioativos … se houvesse contaminação, não seria muito seguro manusear a câmera que grava a imagem, já que ela seria uma possível fonte móvel de contaminação … mas, obviamente, é melhor não arriscar e cair

    Efeito Tcherenkov Quando uma partícula carregada eletricamente atravessa um meio isolante a uma velocidade superior à da luz neste meio, ela emite radiação eletromagnética que pode ser na faixa visível. A esta radiação dá-se o nome de radiação de Tcherenkov (ou efeito Tcherenkov). A luminosidade AZUL, característica de reatores nucleares, deve-se à radiação de Tcherenkov. O nome é em homenagem ao cientista soviético Pavel Tcherenkov, vencedor do Prêmio Nobel de Física de 1958, que primeiro caracterizou rigorosamente o efeito.

      @@lucasfeitosa_ a radiação gamma que sai do reator chega na camera e o sensor captura, só que ele não é feito pra filma a radiação, então aparece como pixels brancos

      Essa luz azul é chamada Efeito ou Radiação de Cherenkov (em homenagem ao físico Pavel Cherenkov, que observou o fenômeno pela primeira vez... Ela ocorre quando há a emissão de partículas carregadas eletricamente (como elétrons) em um dado meio com velocidade superior a da luz (fótons) nesse mesmo meio (no caso a água da piscina do reator). Quando isso ocorre, a partícula carregada eletricamente emite radiação eletromagnética em uma dada frequência, devido a dissipação de parte de sua energia cinética ao atritar com o meio isolante. Em reatores nucleares em geral, essa emissão ocorre na frequência do azul.

      @@ricardoaugustopereira8628 entendo... Mas no caso realmente é a ocorrência do Efeito de Cherenkov. Esse fenômeno, de forma resumida, é a emissão de radiação eletromagnética no meio isolante da piscina do reator, por parte de partículas ionizadas emitidas durante a fissão nuclear, de forma mais rápida do que a luz percorre esse mesmo meio.
