okay great i got the best 2 things i want for my project (your 1st vid and this one) but i got 1 more issue. changing the characters look like the entire animation to change e.g., its like if mario got hit by an enemie he would face the camera and fall off screen like classic mario...how do i do that?

Honestly, I despise the white outline around the characters. I prefer and love the TTYD style with the gradient highlight and no outlines. Amazing tutorial still.

How does the art style change with the recent games? Is it the exact same art style and it's just the lighting is much nicer or did they tweak the artstyle?

What are videos like this called, like what's the genre? It's like the genre where people draw in pre established styles or make new textures for games like up-resing or like Animelee. I've been seeing some more of this style of content and want to see so much more of it but don't know what to look up.

Lemme just say this is a fantastic tutorial, but I'm using gimp and for the life of me I can't figure out how to change a shape into an outline like you said in the video. Do you have any idea how to do it in gimp or does anyone else for that matter?
