Captain Jack's words the joy is worth the pain almost mirror that of Sarah Jane's words she says the same thing in class reunion... The irony is that they knew the doctor was in love with Sarah Jane he had blocked her from his memory because it hurt too much and you see that because the alien bad guys in that episode they're not talking to Rose they're not trying to appeal to Rose they're trying to appeal to Sarah Jane because they know that the doctor wants to be with Sarah Jane but she understands the temptation that they're offering both her and the doctor the doctors are ready to jump for it but Sarah Jane has more sense and it's she who reminds him that you cannot go back you can only go forward... It's why I say that it would be nice if the show does end if it splits in a way and brings back what doctors they have that are still around I hope Tom Baker will still be around it would be nice to have his old self being seen with from the behind you can't show her face obviously of Sarah Jane who calls out to him doctor we it's time for tea or something like that and he leaves in to go into the blue box or something... And Jazz and her doctor her doctor comes and asks Jazz to I say Jazz because if I try to say yes I'm not sure that voice to text will get it right and it obviously hasn't I'm not able to type I use voice to text because of my physical handicap and it writes what it wants and it punctuates as it wants and there's nothing I can do about it. But wouldn't it be wonderful if that last episode where time literally seems to shatter in the entire universe and the only way to repair it is each of these doctors takes a section and each one basically retires to that section and in so doing heals the rift of that area and it's like they go off together for retirement... But that's just me wanting to see everything and all the loose ends tied up nice and in a bow.

I think the doctor had learned by that time not to hurt another human being by saying he loved them and ironically of all people he learned it probably from Sarah Jane all you can do is go forward there can be no going back you cannot stop the universe you cannot what was was, she knew the doctor loved Rose but she also knew the doctor was in love with her he made it very obvious I mean you just have to look in his eyes and you could see the glow but she had grown wise in the intervening years and you that it could never work she had learned something that was important and that the doctor needed to know that's why when in class reunion the doctor is literally almost ready to jump on board with the aliens it is and they try to lure her because they know Rose is not number one in this scenario it is she Sarah Jane who is number one in his eyes and they offer her a chance to never grow old and be with him forever and she turns them down and reminds the doctor of the fact that there is no going back and cannot stop the world you cannot do what they're offering you to do because that's just wrong and in doing that she gets her closure and final goodbye when you think about it... But I think it's also the fact that he lost every person he's ever cared about and I understand what that's like, I think the final straw for him was losing his wife... River song. And his two best friends clara was the straw that broke the camel's back in losing her it was what broke him... He did not want to leave yes in the same way he had left well I say he I mean she was a she at this point she did not want to leave yes in the same way that she had left Sarah Jane with a broken heart and he realized that when he came back during class reunion she could not so she gave a clue the only thing she could without saying it outright because when you say it outright that you love somebody it's easy for your heart to break when they are gone. And the truth is the doctor could not take another heartbreak.

Ugh this was beautiful. They had such an amazing friendship and I get why the doctor was reluctant to do anything. I wish we had more episodes in their seasons. They deserved more

Oh Heaven and Saints above, how did I not see this for the 5 months it has been up? Perhaps the universe knew I would not be able to handle watching it sooner. Still I cried, ugly cried at that. Perfect, beyond perfect... extraordinary, no as 13 would say, Brilliant. I Can NOT imagine how much effort this must have taken. Bravo! The dialog and story line are so spot on. Oh I have not seen anything that illustrates their story nearly as well. May The Doctor not make Yaz wait 2-3 decades till they meet again like Ace and Tegan. That would have been a great line for Yaz to have said to The Doctor up on top of the Tardis. Thank you. Absolutely Brilliant. Now to watch it again, and again...

They were such a brilliant scifi romance, the joy, the love, the heartbreak, it gets me in the feels every time and thats how you know something is great. And this is such an amazing edit encapsulating everything they are, in a world of time and space traveling, of deadly monsters, alien planets, fantastical historical figures and a bunch of whimsy at every turn, their feelings, how they evolved and how they deal with them was so grounded and real. Their relationship throughout the seasons was the underlying heartbeat of the show for me. Thanks for putting it together.
