An adventourous weekend in the Rax Alps - Tour to the Ottohaus
Weeks ago I planned a trip to the Rax Alps, and booked myself accommodation at the Ottohaus with the plan that I would be up there hiking and taking photos this weekend.
Well, the weather thought to put a big twist on it, and so a little after mid-September it conjured up a whole weekend snowstorm, temperatures of about 0 degrees, and winds of 80-100km/h at times.

We spent at least 3-4 hours up there, admiring the views of the surrounding mountains and lakes. We loved it :)

Good quality is this handheld or did you use a stablizer / gimbal ?
It has been recorded with an older gopro. Today I think the DJI cameras are much better. Currently I am using a dji osmo action 4. I wish I had time to make the films I've recorded with it! 🥹

@@travelanddazzle koszonom a valaszt 👍. Hetvegen/hetkoznap voltatok? Kiiras szerinti vonattal vagy azon feluli mentesito vonatta (, h olyen kevesen voltak rajta)?
@@tadeus1234 Salzburgig railjettel mentünk, ott volt egy szállásunk. A pályaudvarról busszal lehet kimenni a Wolfgang Seehez. Sankt Gilgenből van lehetőség hajóval megközelíteni St Wolfgang városkát. Innen indul a fogaskerekű a Schafbergre. Sankt Gligenen át egyébként a busz tovább közlekedik Bad Ischl felé, ahonnan pár perc alatt elérhető Hallstatt.
Koszi, ezt mar en is megtalaltam google-on, a kerdes arra vonatkozott, h a videon eleg szellosen vannak a fogaskerekun. Vagy is, nem tul zsufolt-e hetvegen, szombaton? V nem tudod, mert ti hetkoznap mentetek vele?@@travelanddazzle
Mi a covid idején voltunk amikor még érvényben voltak bizonyos szabályozások. A buszokra, vonatokra csak maszkban lehetett felszállni, a Schafberg fogaskerekűre pedig ha jól emlékszem a hajóállomáson vettünk aznap kombinált jegyet. Ez egy népszerű túrista célpont, ha biztosra szeretnél menni tudsz elővételben jegyet venni online. Az időjárással viszont kalkulálni kell! Az alpokban egy nap elő tud fordulni 4 évszak. Voltunk itt többször, volt olyan hetünk amikor augusztusban lent a völgyben alig volt 10 fok és esett az eső. Hasonló idő volt tavaly is.@@tadeus1234

Hello Sabrina, it was recorded in 2021 August. We purchased our combi ticket at the port of St Gilgen. The view is awesome from both side :)
The train is not going straight, so you will see everything from both sides. (We sat on the right side of both trains.)
