Hey Jonathon, for the ratings I've used 11 attack metrics & 11 defence metrics compared to the league average then weighted by importance to create an overall +/- number

@@investorbet.sports do you have some historical results for these NRL ATTACK and DEFENCE ratings .They sound interesting and possibly a good betting strategy could be developed out of them .

Yeah you definitely could use it, ratings can be used well for determining your own betting lines. I rarely bet on a single factors so I don't have the results based on this however I more so use it as an overall reference for teams attack/defence

I use a formula that combines a few factors together which are: the expected score for each team which is based on team overall & recent form and opponent overall & recent form, then this adjusts based on team lineups if any key players are out and then combine this with the past 5 total points lines between the matchup. I don't always bet purely based on it being above/below, but always use it as a guide

@@investorbet.sports no, it was mere coincidence, many years ago i was on holiday in Tokyo in september and was in a local sports bar with mainly australian sports on a big screen, and i got immediately hooked :) and also on the plane back home there was on the entertainment system this documentary movie with Brett Kirk about AFL abroad, where he travelled to all other countries where the sport was played. I have always been a sports fan in general, but AFL is the most entertaining and exciting sport to watch 👍
