The adventures of a golfer and a sailor as they attempt to sail around the world sampling golf courses along the way. Chip and Sue met shortly after Chip had restored their sailboat Orion during COVID. The boat had been washed inland in hurricane Ivan in the Cayman Islands and much of the interior was rotted out by the time Chip found it. Videos of the restoration process are on this channel. Our first initial shakedown cruise was about 500 miles and went very well, After much work and additional equipment was added we are ready to start our long journey fulfilling two lifetime dreams. Our official journey starts in March of 2024 with a trip to Mexico, Florida, The Bahamas, Turks & Caicos , the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. Sue is an experienced golf course reviewer and between the two of us we will be giving you valuable insights to golf courses all over the globe.
Ep 24 Great Inagua and Jamaica
After hitting the rocks at Hogsty Reef we made out way down to Great Inagau and then onto Montego Bay in Jamaica. Great Inagua is famous for its Salt Mines and Pink Flamingos but due to hurricane season we had to pass on these sights and keep moving back to Cayman with our bent rudder! We will return to this island and especially Long Island (friendliest of all Bahamian Islands)!
