So I checked out Lunaris 2 in the NI Website, it looks interesting, but... I have Lores from NI since the end of last year and still didn't do much with it. I know it is different, but I first want to dive deeper into Lores. But I was think about new gear a lot in the last weeks. I thought that an analogue synth would fit nice in my setup, but I took so long time locking after an alternative and did not come to a conclusion, that I said to myself that I am not going to buy one now. The thing I did is to buy an USB extension cable in order to place my computer in the corner of my desktop. So I can place one instrument and / or controller direct in front of me and focus more on the instrument. Also I got Cycles from S+A and another plugin and maybe, maybe I am going to get a controller from Sound Force but I am not sure about it yet. The thing is, that I want to speed up the process a little bit, when I have the time to make music and the idea is there, I like to have everything at hand and therefore a hybrid setup with Ableton and some Softsynths and my favorite Plugins is the best solution at the moment. So, time to make some music. Everything is changing and evolving anyway... so let´s see, or better listen, what comes ;-)

@@heikoelswyk7735 Yes, you have a good setup there. I also have a Digitone with a Behringer Model D and Crave for Analog. and of course the Hydrasynth for sound design and a bigsky reverb. But thats my limit for hardware. I have everything I need for hardware and software synths etc now. I switched to Bitwig from Ableton, it really improved my workflow.

That's nice to hear. I would somehow consider myself still as a beginner, on the other hand I make music already long time. But only last year I felt, that the tracks are not too bad anymore and that I could try to upload them 😉

How are you getting along with the FaderFox?

The LPP is deep. Mostly I use it as a keyboard, I didn't use it as Sequenzer so far. And I also Set Up the custom modes to control somethIng in Ableton, but too much Controller at the moment.... I have to get used to them.

​@@aquietgardenlooks like the Faderfox and me could become Friends 😉 A lot of possibilities and doing too much at one time is not so good, but we will see in the next weeks. Maybe I have to make a seperate Video about it.

@@heikoelswyk7735 I learned just last night how to use a drum rack with the LaunchPad Pro, then dropping ambient samples into it, to sequence it. I just need to add in some LFOs and I'm good to go. Last night's LaunchPad x Ableton session was a revelation to me, a major breakthrough!

I also used mine as a keyboard mostly until now, for notes and chords. But last night's session transformed my whole process!

Dear @@heikoelswyk7735 I'm glad you will explore further, and I hear you regarding limited time. One thing I love is to grab this, and sit on the sofa, or in the garden, with a pair of IEMs in, and just build from the limited set of ambient sounds I have installed on it. I'm intrigued to hear more about your process. Did you make your own samples to put on it, or did you also use some other, third party samples?

@@aquietgarden I used my own sounds, in the example above I think they were made with UHE Softsynths and a bunch of effects. I hope the process of sampling will become easier with the little Patchbay. I hope to pick it up this afternoon 😉

@@heikoelswyk7735 Wonderful. I'm interested to know which Patchy you are getting. It will connect from your laptop to the SP-404 MkII without the need for an audio interface between, yes? I thought you can sample direct from Mac using the USB-C connection and cable? I'm inspired by your move into this, following our conversations about the SP-404 MkII.

Also… (sorry for all the questions dear Heiko!) are you recording directly through the Roland GoMixer Pro, or another interface or device? I need to get my setup up and running, although the most important part for me is getting a good speaker or system for live ambient performances in physical spaces. I'm almost fully set up for performing live online, but I keep wondering, do I need a GoMixer Pro or not in order to do this.

@@mann-vom-mond ja, die kenne ich auch und seit kurzem habe ich auch wieder ein iPad, aber ich habe es noch nicht zum musizieren benutzt.

​@@mann-vom-mond und noch, klar da hast du Recht. Der Großteil der Sampler Videos, egal ob SP404 oder Digitakt oder oder... Das ist meistens keine ruhige Ambient Musik, die Dinger sind halt vielseitig. Ich freue mich darauf bei gutem Wetter, nur mit dem SP404 mal draußen zu jamen 😊

@@heikoelswyk7735 Um draußen Musik zu machen ist die SP garantiert Klasse. Aus dem Grund hab ich mein musizieren komplett auf Tablet und Smartphone umgestellt und nutze ansonsten nur noch drei verschiedene MODI Controller 🙂 So kann ich überall Musik machen.

Thank you very much for listening, I am glad you like the track. Yes Diva is really lovely and CPU hungry. Most of the time, I create a sound and record it, and move on with the audio file, to solve that problem and because it is just the way I like to do it. I got Stepic only a few weeks ago. I see people doing really nice stuff with it. I still have to get used to it, but the first trys were already good.

Oh, that is already a while ago, but I think I was controlling some parameters of Ableton. Some parameters that are usefull for the particular Session.
