I'm not a teacher/instructor, neither do I betray myself as an example of some good samaritan you should follow. I'm just a driver like any other. I flash because I can, and because I'd rather flash somebody than sound my horn in the middle of the night. If you or anyone take offence to it, don't do stupid things on the road. If anyone is triggered by a flash or a horn on the road, they shouldn't be on the road and need to seek help.

Very true, well said. Must be a very frustrating job, granted but it doesn't seem wise to be showing yourself on TH-cam breaking the highway code. Food for thought perhaps.

Because some think they're above the law and have the right police other drivers. Driving rightly or wrongly its not your job to flash your lights, sound your horn or confront anyone. Just go about your own journey and leave others to theirs.n

You're right, it's true. It's not my place to "police" others and it's not my intention, just seems like some people like to play games with big trucks or just can't see a big white truck and trailer. Anyways, I have changed my ways and avoided flashing, but these clips are still from around October. I'm not perfect, just a comum person on the road.

You get tired of changing lanes twice only for the lane hogger to speed up because they don't like having an HGV overtake them. Happens alot, so most HGVs just continue forward.

Although you are right in what you say. I was not expecting the van to block me from continuing towards the traffic lights, but I'm also not going to hard brake because of it.

Looks to me like the Renault couldn't see the lane they were merging into due to the dickhead BMW deciding to block their entire view, so they slowed to a crawl and waited for the BMW to merge first, then assumed the BMW wouldn't have merged unless it was safe to do so and therefore it was safe for them to merge in front of it. I note that once the BMW committed to merging, the Renault DID accelerate. No fault on the Renault's part IMO. Would've been crazy to merge without being able to see if the lane was clear.

Expected them to accelerate, and yes, I had no intentions of having to slow down up the hill, plus I couldn't move away due to people sleeping on the side of me. But it's all fun. 👍

True, you can merge when you want. But it's still illegal to undertake in the UK, plus all the dangers that come with it too. My point with the clip is that there's no need to do it, 2 lanes open, no queuing traffic, but still leave it for last second to merge.

@@phillwainewright4221 In the highway code, It says NOT to, The highway code is the one I listen to. You can flash whenever you want, But could get yourself into trouble for doing so, Personal choice I suppose.

​@@phillwainewright4221it isn't taught in either hgv courses or the highway code. You only move back to the left when you judge it is safe to do so, this means at least the 2 second rule applies

Considering the wide angle of the dash cam, I agree with you. But if you take into account the fact that I'm driving a HGV and not a bycicle, and when turning right and the windshield pilar blocks the view then yes, the merc did in fact cut in front of me. Many people tend to get angry at this junction (20 on the M62) because the roundabout is wrongly signed. Signs say there is only 1 lane for Liverpool, but road markings say there are 2 lanes. Are you ok? Car reversed because it shouldn't have been stopped in the yellow box in the first place. Yellow boxes are there for a reason,one being to facilitate the flow of traffic. All clips are made for views. Don't understand the comment on that. Have a good day/night. 👍

@@BigMikN Then I apologize, I did not meet such a marking where I drove. Yellow marking in the form of a square that obliges the driver to not pass it in order to not block the center of intersection, yes, I saw it; but I didn't see the irregular shape, so I didn't know what that mark represented. The clip is not mirrore, it is just England, I noticed the registration number better, initially I thought it was mirrored. I'm really curious how you can legally enter that intersection. You don't have to stop on the yellow square, I understood, but further back there is another street to the right, so as far as I know you can't stop in the intersection, so you have to stay much further back.... you will definitely notice the traffic very well. I know that if the trucks cannot fit on a sector of the road, access for them is simply prohibited.

Yes, correct video is not mirrored ( I now understand what you meant with that). I'm not sure I completely understand you. There is a yellow box on that intersection due to the great flow of HGVs. The reason I advanced towards the white car was because the driver had the possibility of reversing and was waiting on a red light. If 1 or more vehicles were behind, I would have waited until it were all clear.

Thank you. I do agree with you. Authority should be an example unless they are in an emergency, but I've found it's not that case. Sometimes their the worst on the road, specially when it comes to using indicators. 😅

Tbf the driver in the white car indicated to go into the middle lane to inform the driver with the dash cam his intentions, so I have no idea what the problem is with this clip, the driver in the white car did the right thing by indicating.

they are the simplest things ever made, car too your right has right of way. most roundabouts have 1 lane to turn left, go straight the other lane us for 3 or 4th exit.

It's not a mistake when you don't apologise. When you continue like nothing happened, it's a normal daily practice. IMO.
