Hello Craig, I have just bought this Tumble dryer and I am struggling to switch it on using the touch sensitive on/pause button. I noticed at the end of the video that you also struggled to switch it on. Do you have to press it a certain way?
Turning it on is the one thing I have managed with mine. I’ve noticed you need to wait a few seconds and then press with a flat finger to cover the whole button area. I hope that helps. Now if anyone can help me with a setting that drys an ordinary load of clothes without having to restart it three times...

A Hoover engineer came out and told us that we have to place part of our finger OUTSIDE of the on/pause button (towards the right hand side) as apparently there is a hidden safety button to stop kids from accidentally switching it on. I personally think that it hasn't been aligned correctly, as how on earth would I be expected to know that? I've seen several reviews where people complain about this dodgy button as well. Anyway the engineer said that the "Mix and Dry" is the best cycle to use, if that helps?
AO should be reading this review I had the same problem and we are returning ours as not fit for purpose its rubbish. Trouble with on line reviewers is they have to say positive things or the free stuff stops

offered us an engineer or a trade in ...its 2 weeks old! trade in will cost us £41 so its going back. terrible machine...I cant believe them when they say its all fine and no complaints.
Craig, can you manually change the heat setting so if it's an xxl load you can set it so it is ready to put away. Only I don't know how to change it so I can get it fried within the 220 time it gives. Have had to put it on twice to get my washing dried

Same here its none intuitive and we sent ours back. its Rubbish.
