I appreciate the words he uttered about all people with indigenous roots, but how far does the lineage of indigenous go? Some people like me are born long after the cultures and languages of our ancestors were completely forgotten, I have blood of the natives of my country but there language, culture and everything is long long forgotten and then again the culture and language the natives were married into was conquered again, outlawed for 100 years, if you spoke the language in school you would be beaten and branded with a special necklace so the teachers knew to listen in case you needed another beating… be proud of the struggles your ancestors went through to preserve what you have today, some of us didn’t make it.

Was one of the better moments of my life getting to attend and volunteer. Was with group from international community in my hometown and rushed to the front with fella who now manages a yoga farm in Guatemala who drove us there and I’m like 80% sure that’s my finger popping up on screen 12:05.
