My dude, u might want to consider not using the term, "dreads" it means that u r afraid of white people. In slavery days people who look like me (blk people) dreaded when the master/overseer came to the fields and to our homes with the scissors/shears and lopped/cut off our hair because they hated. The term "dreadlocks" is a term white people used to describe our hair because they hated/dreaded our hair because they brainwashed us into thinking that only straight hair is beautiful.

remember to also use sum for when you sleep and do NOT overdo the back of your hair since that is the hardest part of it since you can’t really see what you doing, in conclusion use a bonnet or something when you sleep and take care of the back ‘i didn’t do nun of those and my hair became uneven in the back but it was fye in the front, basically it looked stupid and i had to cut it all of’
