Cambodia 2024 - highlights
My collection of moments from a wonderful adventure in Cambodia. Away in total for 20 days, in Cambodia for 17 days, with a 18 hour stopover adventure on the way home in Guangzhou, China which is in a separate video - here - th-cam.com/video/HLAb7dwJM9U/w-d-xo.html
It felt like I was away for 5 months as I crammed so much into it - adventures in the capital city Phnom Penh, in the jungle at the Cardamon Village Jungle Camp, up to Siem Reap to explore Angkor Wat and all the other temples in the area. Then back down south to Sihanoukville to catch a boat over to the small and peaceful island of Koh Ta Kiev. Then back to the mainland to Kampot before returning to Phnom Penh for my journey home (via China!)
I love an itinerary and it enabled be to hit the ground running and experience lots and lots in the limited amount of time I had. Whilst I don't regret my great planning I have to say one of my big takeaways of the trip is the wish in future to temper my inclination to want to do so much and not give myself enough space and time to just be and play.
I had a day on Koh Ka Tiev where I had nothing more to do on the island but to savour the peace and tranquility of it all. No more hiking through the forest for hours like the previous (glorious) day, but space to dance on the beach, listen to music and read on the swing under a palm tree by the lapping sea, watching the little lizards scamper around the tree. Bliss.

Which dive site Is the cave ?
Hi there Paola, it's Dolphin House, Marsa Alam. One of my all time fave dives. The swimming with dolphins beforehand in the area was a major plus. Best wishes, James
