Greg Howe - MUST SEE!!! (Live at GIT 1988, Bootleg)
มุมมอง 395K16 ปีที่แล้ว
This is Greg Howe Live at GIT 1988. Not sure what piece this is, but think it was a song demonstrating the licks he was teaching at the clinic.
Oh man.
This is similar to The Pepper Shake. Love it.
Any one ever figure out the title of this? I’m about to have a crack at tabbing it into guitar pro.
Incredible... Incredible musician
Classic Greg! Thanks for sharing!
🤯🙌🏽🔥
Howe es uno de mis preferidos sin dudas. Maneja todas las técnicas y secretos de la guitarra, es extraordinario. Tiene un estilo y gusto finísimo para componer. The Terrace!
mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And he's always been a great guy too
Otherworldly playing. Wow. Mind blowing skill.
Fucking brilliant!
Woow, look at his picking hand, not moving very much, I think he already using hammer ons from nowhere even back then, especially when hitting lower strings? Look at 2:21 for example
Man, Greg's always had the fruitiest licks.
He is Flawless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worn out ! Fret back!
Screwball ? In what demetion? FUCK!
some of the best ive ever heard
'Introspection' is just flat out one of the greatest instrumental guitar albums ever recorded. It has *everything* - taste, groove, tone, ridiculous chops...I taught guitar for 15 years and would always recommend it to any of my more advanced pupils.
That's so true!!! It has such a unique sound and style. The first album is also amazing! It is not only how good it sounds, but how really unique! Howe's sound!
My brain is sizzling….can’t get enough, pure genius..!
彼って結構るけぶしなんだよ、全く!
One of the best pieces of music I've heard
Simply "The Best!"
'88! Wow! I was 25. Greg was probably 24. I'm January baby. Greg is a December Puke Butt. Although....1963 never the less members of the Worse Generation of ALL TIME! Boomers Rule!
flutied neck ?
Just killer !!!
Guitar so greeeasssyyyyyy XD
greg howe and guthrie govan were always my top guitarists and still are. i was fortunate to see greg howe perform with paul simon , it was SICK!!
Só no solinho
My brother
Fantastic Greg Howe! Two hands down.
I know he's great but I find this a bit boring
I like how the bass and drums are not over the top and leave room for his playing. Too many of the Shrapnel records were everyone on melt your face mode and I only have one face so after that gets melted its like shooting a dead body. But, if that's your thing I'm not criticizing just sayin what I like.
unreal!
He was 25 yrs old.
I Jammed with Greg back in the 80's. HE went on to be the BEST!
His pinky is artificial...
Found this guy Vitalij Kuprij’s high definition album favorite guitar following Joe Stump and Michael Angelo Batio
Me: It take 8 hours work and overtime depending upon 8 hours work for atleast 8 month
Just listen to how much more sophisticated Greg's playing is compared to 99.9 % of shred meisters. Just incredible. There's true knowledge and scholarship of musical genres going on. That's composition, that's great writing there. This is why we can still enjoy it after all these years. And he's still great.
Was Greg ever NOT fucking good? GEEEEEEEEZZZZZUUUUSSSSSS!!!
3:52
I think he's harmonizing the original riff and improving just for fun! He's crazy good. There'd be no guthrie govan and his kind w/o GREG HOWE.
His kind? Come on lol
@@mido3ontheway u know..all the younger Brits who sound like Guthrie now. Maybe u don't know
@@tonyrobertsguitar Oh I think I do knew. I just have respect for man, that's all. And Greg is an influence, no doubt.
@@mido3ontheway bc someone has been heavily influenced by GH and has his own minions is a disrespectful thing to point out? A lot of younger players don't know who Greg Howe is and, unfortunately, GG has never cited him as an influence (To My Knowledge), just like Marty + Becker have YET to admit Yngwie's influence on them. If anything, that doesn't seem "respectful" to me.
Greg is a pioneer of technical playing, I bought his CD in 1989 and could not believe it, no one played like that, bad racket, the pepper shake , Wow 👍🏾
insane
So damn fluid and smooth, you’d swear those strings were wiped down with olive oil 👍
Holy fuckin shit i just wet myself!
As a middle aged white guy, this is one of my favorite guitar shreds/ solos ever...thanks Greg, and Pierce....
How many notes? This is sick ...
Greg you know I absolutely love this from the old days... I don't even know was nominated that night.. but you stole the show bro...Hope all is good with you brother... Rodney Crider
Howe does he do it? I don't know. But maybe I'll understand better once I've made a tab of this entire performance. It won't be 100% accurate, but at least it'll be a step toward cementing this sickeningly wicked piece of art in the annals of guitar wizard history, as it deserves to be.
So, I commented on this video 6 years ago and I'm commenting again because this kind of musical genius is just timeless. He's got an otherworldly sense of timing and groovy way of phrasing that is so completely compelling. Simply amazing.
Time to remind you of this video good sir!
Exactly, Greg knows How to keep phrases and licks interesting without overdoing the speed thing.
So many notes, but they ALL have a melodic purpose and it always kills!!! there’s just no one like Greg imo 🙌🏽🎸🔥🎶💴
