ESPN uses the term "12th Man" in it's commercial

ESPN uses the term "12th Man" in it's commercial advertising it's Hall of fans marketing campaign, without correctly attributing "12th Man" to Texas A&M University who owns a trademark covering that term. Texas A&M University is deliberate and consistent in its defense of the ownership of the trademark and has even sued the Seattle Seahawks for the unlicensed use of the trademark.

The movement appears to be gaining some traction across multiple platforms. Just wanted to keep you in the loop. We are trying to create AWARENESS here with the goal being the reversal of a troubling decision. TEXAS A&M's reputation and decision making abilities may be questionable, it would appear. The previous athletic dept regime had the proper moral compass to "pivot" away from a RACIST and highly PROFANE stadium team entrance song and association with an antisemite and promoter of pornagraphy. The current group of employees has reunited A&M with the song again which obviously includes the promotion and association with the song's creator as well. Perhaps they just had an incomplete data set and blindly made the wrong call. TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY-AS A GRADUATE LEVEL PROJECT/ EXPERIMENT? HYPOTHESIS: A&M is a truly different academic institution with a unique set of advantageous values and operation principles of great benefit for society. This first set of data appears to be in support of that hypothesis consisting of 5 data points: A commonly seen university mantra..even seen on campus buses: "FEARLESS ON EVERY FRONT". Do what you think is right even when it may not be popular or financially advantageous perhaps? A&M's operation statement: "The Texas A&M System shall take all necessary steps to ensure that its EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS are committed to the TENETS of HUMAN RESPECT and DECENCY. To make a positive impact, we will make a unified commitment to TRANSLATE OUR IDEALS INTO ACTION FOR SUSTAINABLE AND PROACTIVE CHANGE. Equally as important, The Texas A&M System shall remain committed to providing an inclusive environment where all its members can thrive safely." Here we have OUR set of core values: "RESPECT, excellence, LEADERSHIP, loyalty, INTEGRITY, selfless service, and commitment". Here we have a TV spot that is played during tv sporting events: Titled "What Texas A&M Stands For" th-cam.com/video/tiXcNwf2Xpw/w-d-xo.html Finally a final data point was sourced-something called The Aggie Code of Honor: An Aggie does not lie , cheat or steal or tolerate those who do. Clearly the company line is to paint A&M in a very positive light to the public. Is that light truly shining though? Trust the data. Now we have 4 data points collected for the project suggesting something entirely different is being communicated perhaps: Lyrics of the song ("Power") chosen to represent A&M during the football team stadium entrance at Kyle Field. Hide the kids... It is said that the football program is a university's front porch.. "We ain't got nothin' to lose, ma'fucka, we rollin' Huh? Ma'fucka, we rollin' Fuck SNL and the whole cast Tell 'em Yeezy said they can kiss my whole ass More specifically, they can kiss my asshole I'm an asshole? You niggas got jokes. At the end of the day, goddammit, I'm killin' this shit I know damn well y'all feeling this shit I don't need your pussy, bitch, I'm on my own dick We ain't got nothin' to lose, ma'fucka, we rollin' Huh? Ma'fucka, we rollin' Fuck SNL and the whole cast Tell 'em Yeezy said they can kiss my whole ass More specifically, they can kiss my asshole I'm an asshole? You niggas got jokes At the end of the day, goddammit, I'm killin' this shit I know damn well y'all feeling this shit I don't need your pussy, bitch, I'm on my own dick" Clearly a racist and profane piece of work here. Which is odd for a sensitive and culturally aware state supported academic institution such as TEXAS A&M. Is this part of the inclusive environment we should be promoting? Do we really want this on our front porch? Which ideals are being translated here? Has someone clearly been dishonest regarding those ideals and core values? It is said the team runs out onto the field to the "sanitized" version... that doesn't have the lyrics...one must logically ask: why is that? What if the un-sanitized version of the song extolled the virtues of slavery or pedophilia? Would that song have been selected? Where do we draw the line? Is there a line? Should A&M strive to instill ideals of racism, extreme profanity and pornography? Are we not better than that? In reality, the data suggest that is exactly what is happening. Apparently somebody is not being completely honest and according to OUR own CODE OF HONOR, that should not be tolerated. Who dropped the ball again? A&M has been gifted once again of choosing to be part of the solution. The fix is an easy one..why not choose a different song? Additional data found: billboard.com/lists/kanye-west-hate-speech-consequences-timeline/ and: rollingstone.com/music/music-news/kanye-west-yeezy-porn-reports-adult-film-company-1235010164/ More data to process and analyze: th-cam.com/video/WgEnAVcXYH0/w-d-xo.html Thoughts and prayers for Mr. West and Texas A&M Are the tax-payers of the state of Texas aware of our association with a known racist and pornography promoter? Should they be? Based on these data, can any conclusions be drawn? Do you have children? president@tamu.edu customersupport@12manfoundation.com Project dedicated to my Great Uncle, Charles Wright Thomas, class of 1922 -1st Rhodes Scholar from Texas A&M Please distribute..thanks and gigem

His first semester at TAMU was my last (Fall '10), and he was playing Power nonstop because that's what the team was using to get hyped to beat OU, Nebraska, and t.u. that season. Terrific memories! One of the most classy tributes of one team for another magnified by a century long rivalry. My Longhorn Band of the Univ of Texas plays the Amazing Grace hymn halftime in the stadium of the Texas A&M Aggies the week after 12 Aggies were killed in a tragic bonfire pep rally accident. Both teams hold the highest respect for the other, and carry that on the field in a moment of solidarity, faith, and love. The two schools flags flying together was incredibly emotional, especially when the UT flags withdraw, leaving the A&M flags flying proudly in memorial.
